HBought 2nd car here . Paid off, just , then car died aww. Had towed there . Car had power train warranty that's bs . Only one has ever been paid on ever. My car sat , after being towed there. Then after no work being done , got charged for storage ? Hmm. Got registered letter suing us saying we owed $$$$$$. Told me they'd sell car to pay for it. Hmm. Sales not good eh? Yup, cheesy. Wont pay out on the so called great warranty no matter how long u got car lol. Baha. ZERO STARS Drove from Indianapolis to get a Toyota Tacoma. First listed at 29K A week later when we went 30K. absolutely the biggest mistake anyone could ever make buying a car. the will do anything to sell you can car. they called me trying to get me to co-sign for my disabled vet friend. THEY SAID , if you co-sign I'll cut you a check for $2500.00. I told them "I'm not gonna strap my friend with more debt. their "service" department is the poorest run facility I've ever encountered. my 70 yr old mother took her Toyota she bought there in for service and tires. the tires they put on were too small and caused her speedometer to read incorrectly. she started complaining about people taigating her. if I could give Nourse a negative 5 stars I would. they truly believe they are the only game in town and do not at all care about the communities they serve. read more

Nearly $10,000 in repairs in first six months of ownership. I purchased a 2004 F-350 from the auto mall late last year. I'm surprised the dealership would sell a truck with blown head gaskets. What started as a $4,000 repair quickly jumped to $8,000, then $8,900 when during the tear down my mechanic discovered deep grooves needing machining essentially requiring a complete rebuild of my engine. They also noticed a number of bolts and screws that weren't installed (and should have been caught by Nourse prior to selling). That cost doesn't include the $425 to replace the power steering pump that also went out. I was in touch with customer service and told there would be a reply to whether or not Nourse is willing to remediate the situation. They never called back and when I called back they said they'd find out and get back to me the next day. Again, they never called back. read more

I began searching for a vehicle online, and found exactly what I wanted at Nourse Automall in Chillicothe; or so I thought. Their website says they have the vehicle, so I drove there from Columbus. I was told the vehicle isn't there; it's at the Circleville location. Of course, I drove through Circleville on the way to Chillicothe. So on the way home, I stopped in Circleville; only to be told the car isn't there either: "the boss drives it" I was told. In this day and age, there's no excuse for their website being inaccurate. They wasted my evening, and apparently aren't interested in selling that vehicle; so why is it still offered on their website?! read more

Signed papers got approved they said they were going to take car fill it up with gas, while he was gone we were to meet with finance guy which I'm not sure why we have already test drove been approved, and signed papers. I would give this place 0 stars if I could. Was looking to buy a car as when I was living in Chillicothe, I was driving to Columbus or Lima to work 6 days a week. Found a car I wanted that had good mileage, had some small dings in the doors but a decent price on the Toyota. I am checking the car, and used the key to get in the trunk and it didn't work. I figured they had a different key for the trunk for whatever reason, and bought the car. Something didn't feel right, so I locked the car before driving it off the lot to unlock the new car for the first time. The key didn't work. The salesman was trying to force the key in, using extreme pressure when I told him to stop. He kept on trying to get in and I mentioned that the key was probably only for the ignition and didn't have a driver's door key. I said since they do a so many point inspection in the car, I figured since the key didn't work, they didn't do the inspection and the agreement was void. They couldn't give me my trade-in back because it was after hours. I made an agreement to get an electronic keyfob cut on Saturday, the next day, which would complete the sale. We went back, and it took over 2 hours, despite them able to get the car door open (still paint chips from when they did that). Said they didn't have the electronic key fob and that they were losing money on the car. They recommended that I come back later in the week and just leave my car doors unlocked--this is NOT a joke. They were hesitant to show the carfax, which I bought and saw it was a repossess vehicle. I come back with an appointment. Not only did they not have the key, the sales department didn't even make the appointment. I walked back over upset, that I took off work to get this done, and they call me in a back room and offered me a free tank of gas, which I refused. They set me up for an appointment for the next week, and had to get it in writing. Two hour appointment ended up taking 3, and they were quite rude to me when I inquired after two hours the estimated wait time. I posted this on their Facebook page and the head of their customer satisfaction department tried to schedule a call to discuss, but never did. The salesmen have called several times to talk about their deals, I guess to sucker me into another car without a key. Seriously, don't buy from here. read more

This was one on the smoothest car buying processes that I have personally went through. They were very professional, and explained everything in detail and answered any questions we had. Ordered a Honda. Knew it would take a while because I "ordered" it. After 3 months of waiting I began to get a little annoyed. So I became a little more persistent in trying to get answers. Only to find out that it didn't even appear to get ordered. Was told the exact vehicle (different color though) was due to arrive in a few days. Was told by Honda manager that I would never get the color I ordered and nobody had that color to do a dealer trade. So I decided to go with what was coming. I like the car - but not what I was set on getting. Traded in a Honda for this one. 2 days after I signed, guess what shows up on the lot! Yep - the color I ordered. Was told that it was a dealer trade from Marysville. But I had been told that there were NONE. Almost 2 weeks later, previous loan is STILL not paid - therefore ding on credit report. Inquire with dealer - NO RESPONSE. WHILE WAITING FOR CAR AFTER ORDERED, nothing but the run around - when I could get a response. Kept hearing it is on its way - just waiting for delivery. VERY LITTLE COMMUNICATION - NO RESPONSE TO MESSAGES - if I got a response it would be a week later. I have friends that work there, my other half even works there. I cannot believe how they treat their customers, and employees! I WILL NEVER DEAL WITH THEM AGAIN! Buyer be aware... Do not buy a used vehicle from Nourse Auto Mall in Chillicothe. Sales staff are excellent and will get you a good deal. They will even sell you a warranty to make you feel all warm and fuzzy. However service for said vehicle that was sold with a transmission issue requires me to pay $470 for a fluid change. It has to be done as a diagnostic test to see if the warranty will even cover the repairs. They were well aware of what i was asking for but waited until they charged me a $146 diagnostic fee to tell me it wasnt covered. This is information that could have been told to me on the phone and saved me a trip and $146. I will be returning my buisness to Hernnstein. Never an issue with them. Should have known better. We did a 4 hour round-trip today to go see a car they said they had... but mysteriously couldn't find on the lot. Am happy w/ the car but I have still not received the Toyota Car Care info that was promised me when I purchased the car. I have called and faxed Nourse a total of half-dozen times AND have contacted Toyota Financial (about 33 days ago) and STILL have not received what was in my contract. Can I bring my car back to you and turn it in since the contract has not been fulfilled re: Toyota Car Care? Both Nourse and Toyota Financial keep blaming my lack of Toyota Car Care info/kit on each other. In other words, Nourse blames corporate and corporate blames Nourse. Frankly, I do not care who messed up, I just want my Toyota Car Care info NOW. My car has over 5k miles now and is due for an oil change. Yes, I know I can go to any Toyota dealership and "say" I have Toyota Car Care but really, should I have to? I need the Toyota Car Care info/kit. Nourse is 65 miles away from me, so please do not suggest that. I went to Nourse because I thought I would be taken care of. Obviously, I was very wrong and will never recommend Toyota or Nourse to anyone again. I used to be a Toyota fan but if I can turn my car in due to breach of contract, I will buy a Hyundai. Both Nourse and corporate Toyota have lost a customer. Plus, I have convinced family and friends, in the past, to buy Toyotas but this will never happen again. FYI: I faxed your boss Mike 2x and spoken w/ you and about 3 other Nourse employees and still I am empty-handed. It's been over a year so you can see why I am so upset. Spoke with the manager all day long asking to help me find a cheap affordable monthly payment, they played it along all day like they would help me find a good used car. Went in they showed great hospitality at first then when they showed me the car after waiting 2 hours mind you spoke with them the whole day about finding the car, they ended up showing me a brand new car with high monthly payments. Completely the opposite of what I was wanting didn't show me anything I asked for within my budget. After showing me the one car that was brand new and super expensive the whole mood switch they acted completely different and rude. Surprised scam artist actually sell cars. Place was a joke! I don't normally do this but I do believe it needs to be told. I went to visit our local Nourse Chillicothe Auto Mall today. Specifically the HONDA department. I was going to trade in my vehicle for a newer vehicle. We spent approximately 4 hours here looking at different vehicles and test drove 2. We had finally sat down to go over the numbers for a 2020 white Honda Odyssey Elite with a little over 10,000 miles on it that they had taken in on trade the day before (4/14/2021). They priced this vehicle to me for $42,000. We then got to the interest that they were wanting me to pay at 3.8% through whatever bank, we didn't get that far. I was reluctant with 3.8% because I HATE interest and I KNOW for a fact I could get 2.75% at my bank for this used vehicle. I was told multiple times " Its only 1% its not going to make that big of a difference." Yeah ok you may be right however lets remember I HATE INTEREST. So... next this man comes to the doorway talking about how he was there till 9pm the night before and today he just wasn't going to stay pass closing time, which was 6 pm and on and on. Meanwhile we start talking again to our salesman about this deal and asking about price ajustments and so forth this same dude that we then learned was one of the sales managers for HONDA starts going on and on about how he had already given us the best price he could and how they literally had just gotten this van in the day before and there was no wiggle room from the price he gave us because our salesman had misspoke and gave us a lesser price then they wanted to price it. Something didn't feel right so I call the expert, MY MOTHER. She of course advised me to take a step back and look at the big picture and to not make a rash decision and to think on it. The manager waited till I got off the phone then came back to hear what I had to say to the salesman. I told the salesman I would return on Monday if I decided to purchase and that I needed to think on it... HERE IS WHERE IT ALL WENT DOWNHIIL. The sales manager then said" Good! that was what I was waiting to hear." I then look at him a bit confused and state " why is that? Are you ready to go home." He states " NO, I was waiting on you to decline the deal today because I am going to put this vehicle on the website for the price it should be." My husband then states " So wait, if we come back on Monday you are not going to honor your deal you gave us today?." Sales manager states " absolutely not. You were given this price only because your salesman misspoke and I decided I would honor what he told you." I then said to him you don't have to be so rude about it. He then argues with us and states that he isn't being rude and continues on talking. My husband then tells him to shut up and stop taking to his wife that way. He then argues some more stating that I was yelling at him. I then said " lets go, I will never be back to this place, EVER, just forget it." The sales manager never stops running his mouth all the way out to the show room and then tells us to " get out!" my husband said what did you say to me. Sales manager then repeated " I said get out! Get out of my showroom." This ladies and gentleman is how Nourse Chillicothe Auto Mall treats their repeat customers. SAD Ps. This van will be listed for $46,000 when they get it listed. My story is much like everyone else. With the exception that after replacing a timing belt they test drove it without oil. I had purchased the warranty and when I took it in to them the warranty had not been purchased. This was almost a year after purchasing it. They did however fix the truck somewhat. DO NOT GET A CAR THROUGH NOURSE. I'm writing a review, once again on the horrible service provided from Nourse. We purchased our car around Decemeber 2015, it's been in the shop 5 or 6 times in that short of a period. It was even there for about a month once. They've always been nice until the last couple times, they seemed to be irritated about me bringing it in like it was my fault for bringing it in. Believe me if I didn't have to come, I wouldn't. It wasn't just a little issue, it was a big one; the car would act is if it was revving up and get very jerky, I've almost ran off the road on multiple occasions because of this. We bought this car with the assumption it was going to be safe for me to drive with my three year old son, not a question of if the thing was going to cause a wreck. So I had it in about four months ago, they fought me on repairing it because the warranty it was under didn't cover it blah blah blah money grubbing blah. So they finally decided to do the right thing and fix my car. (Remind you, this is a problem we've had from the BEGINNING., within a month and half of driving it off the lot. The problem they "fixed" in the beginning). Fast forward to now, the car has been doing the same stuff as before and we finally got it in yesterday. What a shock! They can't do anything. This time instead of being the decent, customer caring company we thought they were and deciding to fix it (the car they sold us with all these problems) they said they weren't doing any more 'free' work on it. So they're little plan to band aide our car problem until the warranty runs out was thrown away and now they're just downright refusing to fix it. Even if the issue isn't under warranty, the car was sold to us with the problem so they should make it right. Their great solve for the problem was to have us trade in the car (and get a horribly low trade-in value because of the problems (problems they sold it to us with)) and get a brand new car that would up our payment by over $100 a month. They're a horrible business and you're better off going somewhere else to get a vehicle. I'm happy I've convinced a couple friends to take their business elsewhere, saved them a whole lot of trouble. And now they're holding our car from us until we pay the diagnostic fee for them doing absolutely nothing. read more

I bought a 2011 SLT acadia two years ago, asked for maintenance records, never received. Sent emails and called with no cooperation. Within first year spent 3000 on a leaking drive shaft they were aware of. Two year mark went to trade it in at another dealership, was told it had been involved in two different accidents. This was never divulged during the signing stage of purchase as legaly obligated. Called to inquire, was told "there are many cars on the road that have been in accidents". That was my answer. Now engine it out at only 121,000 miles. Will be 5,000 for rebuild. Would recommend not buying used vehicle from these guys. My daughter bought a car from Nourse. Hasn't even had it a year. She has took this car in to be serviced 4 times cause she said something was wrong with the transmission. Each time they tell her nothing is wrong. Well she took it in this last time they drove it 8 miles and said oh you need a new transmission. Told her they would call to see if her warranty would cover it. Oh guess what it expired 1000 miles ago. So now they won't cover it. If they would of said something the first time about needing a new transmission it would of been fixed. But they waited till her warranty ran out. She has all the paper work from where she has takin her car in. It states where she has called in and said the transmission isn't right. Going to look into what can be done about this. read more

This dealership is run by fine individuals that do their best to maximize the profit for the company. These folks represent the dealer and have no interest in your needs, ability to pay, or the quality of the vehicle on their lot. In our case they "sold" a 2012 Ford Focus with 35,000 miles to a friend (in April 2013) for $17800. This is $3,000 over book value for the car, they also did the favor of finding her 11% financing over six years for a final total cost of $22k. In otherwords, she could have purchase a new car at 0 to 0.9% financing from Toytoa, Honda, etc. So if you want to over pay for a car, get ripped off during the financing, and LOVE high pressure sales, this is the place for you. read more

I am an ASE certified mechanic. Long story short, Bought a 2011 truck 2.5 years ago. Come to find out after being told it was a local trade in, on star said the truck came from Canada. I had purchased the gold power train warranty. Have had issue such as the wipe motor/wiper transmission assembly going out in the first few months. They wouldn't fix. 6months in the truck started to rust. Then the fuel pump went out. Nourse was not going to fix under warranty which is covered by my warranty. So I ate a 400$ fuel pump. Was promised a free undercoating and bed liner. 2 years later still not honored. The truck started smoking. Called numerous times. Was told to drive it until they could get me in. Now here I sit. Truck has been at Nourse for over a month now. First I was told the motor was locked up. After one inspection by the warranty company. It's not longer locked up after doing what I suggested. But it's blowing oil out of the tailpipe. And I get a phone call saying my frame is cracked. Mind you, they drove the truck into the shop to show me the frame. No word wether or not the warranty company will cover either of the issue yet. Total cost 13k if not. read more

Nourse will never see a dime of my business. I usually don't give a place another chance but I did this time and that will never happen again. A year ago I took a an MKZ there to have the sun roof replaced. It took several weeks, a loner was offered but I declined. Upon picking it up the service guy acted rather nervous, so I checked the exterior of the car carefully, it looked fine. Not sure how I missed it but about 3 days later I discovered about a 4 inch scratch on the front of my dash board. So I couldn't prove it happened there, but without a doubt it did. Poor customer service. So recently I had a bad experience at another dealership with maintenance on a newer MKZ, Lincoln corporate was involved and I was asked if it was "ok" to take it to Nourse, I agreed. The work was to be completed for a "shake" in the car. Corporate had called ahead to get everything set up. I received a call from Nourse, the lady couldn't have been any nicer. She stated come on in we will take care of everything and have a loner ready. The loner given to me was a ford focus, I'm like whatever I just want my car fixed. I got a call the next night from Andy from Ford Service Department stating a replacement arm on the front side needed replaced, and possibly the rotors needed machined down. I told him I didn't think this would fix the problem because I thought it was coming from the rear drive shaft or U joints. Andy told me this a front wheel drive and it didn't have a rear drive shaft and started laughing. I told him this was an all wheel drive and I think I would know my own car. Andy assured me this should fix the problem. Upon picking up the car it had not been washed, plastic was still on the seat, protective paper sheets still on the floor and the car was filthy. The service guy instantly started apologizing to me, I told him I really didn't care as long as my car was fixed. Upon pulling out and going up the highway ramp my wife and I could feel the original shake. So they didn't fixed nothing, and as we picked up speed to 70 MPH the hood opens. Luckily the safety latch caught it from causing any major damage. Of course I called service and complained I told them I would like a call from Dick Nourse himself and a refund. It has now been 4 days and I've heard nothing and have not been given a refund. Nourse is Podunk, big lot, just not up to par when compared professional dealerships I have dealt with in the past. Don't waste your time and money, make the trip to Columbus or elsewhere. read more

Unfortunately, I was forced to leave at least one star, I would've preferred to give Nourse none. My experience left a lot to be desired. I test drove a car overnight and upon returning and deciding not to purchase, things went down hill quickly. The saleswoman then tried coercing me into purchasing a new vehicle, rather than used, when I had made it very clear that I was only interested in used, not new. She informed me that she needed one more sale to meet her goal before months end the next day. That comment alone was enough to make me never want to return. The guy in finance accused me of calling him a liar simply for questioning him about invoice pricing. I should've walked out then and there but I let it continue. I'm not one who is easily put off or offended but I do strongly believe that I would've been treated differently had I been a man or had one there with me. I was deceived, disrespected and insulted. The other people that wrote a review couldn't be more spot on. I had a close friend that worked there and sales personnel are treated like slaves. The managers suggested they dress seductive and doll there selfs up to attract more customers kind of like pimping them out. Made statements like this is a 24. Hour job made the ladies clean the snow off the cars. She had the lot shop mechanics " supposed to " change upper and lower ball joints tie rod ends and brakes. Plugs and wires . Well the changed the plugs and wires . Leaving the spark plug wires out of the wire looms. Causing two to lay on the manifold burning them in half. They replaced the upper ball joints and not the bottom as which was suppose have been done also. Oh they will put you in a car alright but with all the hidden fees and BS that comes with it. I would never have any business dealings with this place . Only a sucker would purchase here. I would have given this review a minus 5 if it had the option. read more

I recently purchased a 2014 used Toyota 4Runner from the Toyota part of the mall. I found it on their website where it was advertised at 25,000 miles and priced as a steal so I went in to investigate. I have no qualms with how I was treated as a customer that day when I came in. The test drive is where it got a little shady. Upon arriving at the dealership I asked about the vehicle and they said they had it, but one of their employees had been driving it. This was not a problem with me as I know its completely normal for employees to drive and test cars out so they have a good understanding of the vehicle. The vehicle was also relatively clean for someone who had been driving it for an unknown period of time. I jumped in, started the car and it sounded great. I looked at all the cool features and it was already sold in my head... then I looked at the odometer. It read 30,000 miles!!! Whoever had been driving it had put 5,000 extra miles on the SUV driving it as a loaner! Very unprofessional in my opinion. I brought it up with their GM and he knocked a few hundred dollars off for me and agreed to service and detail the vehicle. I left it with them for the day and agreed to pick it up the next day in order to give them time to do the proper maintenance on it because I was going back to New York that week (which I had already explained to them). I returned the following day to pick up the car (which was poorly detailed, but I didn't harass them about it). Everything was fine until I started driving to New York. About halfway through Pennsylvania the maintenance alert light came on (I found this odd because they should have just changed the fluids for the 30,000 mile service). I called the dealership and got no answer so I left a message, I then asked my mother to call in and try to get in touch with them and ask if they had serviced the vehicle. I continued my trip and eventually got a call from my mother who informed me that they had "overlooked" changing the oil. Obviously I was upset with that and tried to call them to see what they could do for me because that's a large oversight. I called again and left a message which still has not been answered, but I recently received their courtesy call where I explained what happened and all the lady on the phone would say was sorry. I do not trust this business in the least right now. I have paid a substantial amount of money now making sure the car is in proper working order because if they missed engine oil (probably the most prevalent part of servicing a vehicle) I am sure they missed something else. Take your business somewhere else and don't even look at the Nourse sign. The quality assurance and customer care are poor at best. read more

Most horrible experience I have ever had!!!! Very rude unprofessional people that lie and rip you off, there are soo many BAD things to say about them I could write a book !!! I had heard many times and read signs of people actually standing outside of their car lots NOT to ever buy from them but I was stupid and chose to anyway. Boy was that the Biggest mistake of my life. So people PLEASE don't learn your lesson like I did and save yourself the time money stress and heartache and go somewhere trustworthy. Ask around and read reviews because you will be glad you did and I hope this has at least helped someone and save them from what I have been put through as well as many other people. Just think of all the ones that haven't taken the time to write a review! I brought my truck in for service a terrible noise that it was making paid a 250$ deductible to Fidelity with my extended gold warranty got my truck back the next day at closing time and there is the same noise only worse called all day the next day Saturday with no answer. I called non stop Monday morning and finally after 3 hours service manager C**** M***** answered and said he seen where I have been calling all morning and when I told him about my truck he was extremely rude and told me they did there test and it showed it was fine, which I know they didn't have time to test drive it because it was closing time and it was still at the same mileage when I brought it back after taking the mechanic on a ride to let him hear the noise it was making which he heard several times, and if they would have test drove it after the service they did then he would have heard the noise was still the same and that must NOT have been the problem or maybe the part they put in was bad. So then he told me to take it somewhere else because they did there test Ha What test did they actually do? Is still my question. They advertise to bring your vehicle to our expert mechanic's and let them fix it right the first time, and if that was the case we wouldn't still be having these problems. Chris also said that he didn't have time to be on the phone he had customers and hung up! I'm like OK so what am I? I am at my winds it with this whole ordeal! So my vehicle is still screwed up and I'm out $250 p.s. Save your money on the extended warranty to I called them and they wouldn't do anything either said sorry you need to try and work it out with them first and if they don't then give us aa call. So this is just a brief description of a little bit of what has happened but like I said in the beginning soo much more you wouldn't believe. I don't understand how people can be like that and run a business the way they do. But they haven't heard the end of it yet as far as I am concerned because I want everyone to know how they are! I'm writing a complaint with the BBB, all the newspapers and news channels, Facebook, and all websites I can. I will be back with a update as to the outcome! I went back to Nourse after a horrible experience with them just because of the 0% financing offer. The salesman was fine but the guy who worked up the trade-in numbers and new car numbers lied to us on numerous occasions. We overpaid for our new car and lost alot of money on our trade (which they are now selling for $5000.00 more than what they offered us) They did NOT honor the 0% financing so I will NEVER go back! I have finally learned my lesson. You think buying a new car would be exciting but they wear you down. We were there way too long! We were tired and didnt look at the final paperwork for a few days (Our mistake) but to see the final numbers was startling. We made a huge mistake in trusting them and it will NEVER happen again! read more

I haven't had too many problems with the maintenance department, where I have to take my company owned vehicle, but I will never buy another car from Nourse. I purchased two in the last 20 years there and purchased the "lifetime rust protection". Both times when rust appeared on the vehicle, Nourse avoided fixing it. At one point I was told that "lifetime" meant only 7 years. I looked at used vehicles there a few years ago. My friend went with me and together, we caught the salesman contradicting the information he was giving several times. When they printed out the KBB value of the car, I noticed that the zip code they'd entered was 90210 (Beverly Hills). When I had them change the zip code to our Podunk little town in Ohio, it came back with a value several thousand less. I also noticed that they had entered the info on the car incorrectly, listing it as a higher value version than the one we were test driving. I'm sorry, but I see this as nothing less than lying, and the salesman was one I know has worked there many years. I prefer to do my car shopping from then on at legitimate car lots. read more

The worst dealership, I"ve ever dealt with. had a extended warranty, just so happened it didn"t cover anything. so I had my fluids changed, transmission, front differential, rear differential, I needed a diagnostic read over $800.00. When I called for the final bill, it was $711.00, when I went to pick it up here comes the sticker shock, over $800.00. I also had them to give me a price on replacing the rear wheel hubs and bearing assembles $323,00 each for the parts, I found them online for under $100.00 each and they wanted a outrageous price for labor, total parts and labor over $1000.00 . Parts not covered by warranty either. anyhow, I found a garage near me. They will replace my wheel hubs and bearings with top of the line parts from napa and install new brake pads all the way around, again with napa pads for under $600.00 So if you want to get violated in your pocketbook, then go to nourse auto mall, as for me, I've learned my costly lesson. read more
