I got a referral to Vince, who jumped in quickly with a quote from another company, explained everything and got it into place quickly. Purchase closed smoothly with his help. Some days later, I had some confusing questions, and he jumped on the phone and addressed all my questions. He's always a quick responder. A few months later, things changed so that I ended up back at my original carrier after all, so I was sorry to cancel my policy that Vince's team obtained for me. They did good.

Here's what happened... We signed w/CIG insurance at their suggestion ~6 years ago for auto & home. Had an accident last year & immediately called CIG from roadside only to find they aren't open on the weekends (at all). Nobody at CIG knew our policy number or could help us. So we shopped for new Auto insurance. Found Esurance offered much better coverage for at least $300/year cheaper. Called CIG to cancel & had 2 problems: The only way to cancel is by personal letter via fax which is terribly inconvenient and (2) they couldn't tell me my refund (since I cancelled mid-policy like most of us do). They told me to call Ventura Pacific. So called V.P. They didn't know my refund. They called CIG & finally told me but.. It didn't feel right so asked them to itemize it. They couldn't. They basically said, "We wouldn't take your money - just trust us" but see their email at bottom.. Just today finally got home insurance w/Mercury which is $100/yr cheaper w/WAY BETTER coverage than CIG. Your experience may differ but for us although the initial service felt great, the long term effect was bad. Considering opening case w/Dept of Ins regarding the refund. Feels crooked. Here's the email regarding refund, "According to CIG Billing, the refund was calculated by their automated system. There is no way to provide the amount of premium per day. I can assure you that CIG is bound by refund rules deemed by the Dept. of Insurance. The calculation below is an estimation to provide the closest amount of premium per day. I am sorry that I cannot provide a formula that was used in calculating the refund."

The policy was a lot of money for auto & home, I told her I think she could do better and I would handle it for her, I have insurance background. I called MAIB and spoke to the owner/Agent Mark Annis ,he was close to home and I got a great quote for her. What I did not know, that he put a 800.00 broker fee on top of her premium and added an additional $53.00 to her monthly payment. He never disclosed this to me. My friend went in to sign paperwork alone .( Mind you she just lost her husband three days prior) I expressed this to him on the phone that she is financially challenged at the moment right now. When signing paperwork she trusted this man owner/agent that he had her best interest. He had her sign a broker fee letter and applied 800.00 and disbursed it into her monthly payments!! she had know idea!!! I called him to discuss this and all he had to say was," she signed the Broker Letter !!" This is not only unethical, this man has zero compassion for a young widow with two children. Karma is a bitch !!!!! I would not recommend this agency. The owner is insensitive human!!! I would like to Rate this business Negative Stars, it wont allow me too.:(
