help me get the word out there that Al's transmission and Auto in Manitowoc Wisconsin is not a safe…read moreor reputable business to take your vehicle for repairs or servicing me and Marissa took our vehicle there as a referral from another auto shop that doesn't work on transmissions Al's transmission did not follow the proper steps they were supposed to send an estimate to the insurance company and get authorization to do work on the transmission instead they just went ahead worked on the transmission and then tried billing the insurance company and the insurance company said they weren't paying because they didn't authorize then they tried billing us for the work which we did not authorize we are now currently in the process of suing them for the vehicle and the unauthorized repairs and since the court case is now going they have went and placed a mechanics lien to take the vehicle and sell it instead of just owning up to their screw up given the vehicle back or waiting for the court case to be finished me being the nice guy that I am before all this started I tried working out a deal with else transmission Craig Lisa you name them and they refused I didn't want to see a shop get screwed over their money because they didn't follow the proper steps when they fixed our truck but they shot us down every step of the way that we tried finding some middle ground with them I can't emphasize this enough do not trust ales transmission and auto with your vehicle. On a side note Marissa doesn't know that I'm making this post at this time but to be honest I'm rather pissed

Update: I've been back here twice and have received the same courteous and knowledgeable service. Not by any fault of theirs, my car has had additional problems to fix. Today I called and told them the problem and they came to tow it. This is where it gets good. I don't normally need my car that often, but of course I have a baby shower to attend out of town tomorrow. The woman out there know, I don't have a choice but to drive the 2 hours to attend after committing to be there. And I want to. Anyway...I started calling around for a rental. None available or they won't be open when I can get there. Small town problems. I called Satori's explained the problem and they are providing me with a loaner car. They were going to do that anyway as customer service while working on my car. What they don't do is pick people up. Understandably they are busy. Knowing there was no way I could get there before 7pm to pick up the car he decided they would pick me up. That is above and beyond and I want them and others to know how much I appreciate it. Customer service is a dying art. I am giving a pre review based on my initial experience. I will update after the work is done. I am giving them 5 stars for customer service. I bought a 3rd party car for a winter beater. I drive a mini and they aren't Wi. winter friendly. My father did the work it needed mechanically, but as anyone who owns a foreign car knows, finding the right mechanic is hard in a small town. The owner took the time to call my father so he would understand what I wasn't able to communicate in mechanic speak. He then called me back to set up the appointment. I had a choice to drop it off at the night deposit or show up when they opened. I chose to show up in the morning because he said " It might be better so I can see what problem you are having and to get to know you and your husband." That is customer service.

I recently had a routine oil change appointment for my car. A day before the appointment I notice…read moreone of the tires on my car was losing air. I contacted Paul Safranski at Safranski Tire and Auto to see if they would have time while they were changing the oil to find the cause. They were able to find a nail in the tire leak and fix the problem on top of the oil change. Turned out a nail was in the tire. Safranski Tire and Auto Team always do a great job!
