I really enjoyed my apartment and the time I spent at Novo. It was a place I genuinely felt at home, and I'll carry a lot of good memories from living there. Like any community, there were a few things future renters may want to keep in mind: 1. Parking - Parking could be a bit unpredictable, which is fairly common in apartment living. I always appreciated that the management team made a real effort to keep things organized and to address any concerns quickly and fairly. There were a few times the lot was so full I couldn't park so I had to park by the leasing office in the new resident parking which was across the community from my unit. Although there was opportunity to pay monthly for a designated spot. 2. Noise - The walls are on the thinner side, so some noise from neighbors could be heard at times, and I'm sure ours carried as well. We did our best to be considerate, especially with TV volume and quiet hours, but occasional feedback still came up. We also heard typical apartment sounds like pets, voices, and snoring. Management was thoughtful in sending reminders to help everyone stay mindful of shared living. 3. Outdoor space - One of my favorite parts of living at Novo was the outdoor space. There is a beautiful lake area that feels peaceful and tucked away from the road. Our unit had a lovely view and access to a grassy area right outside, which we really enjoyed. I'll truly miss sitting out there and enjoying the calm. 4. Management - The management team made a big difference in my overall experience. They were consistently kind, responsive, and professional. Jasmine especially stood out for her warmth and attentiveness--she always made sure we understood what was going on and followed up when we had questions. It felt like they genuinely cared about the residents. 5. Deposit - The move-out process was straightforward. The initial deposit was $500, and while it went toward final charges, we did owe a small additional amount (around $20) for items like drip pan repairs and painting touch-ups. It's worth noting that anything requiring more than an hour of painting labor is billed separately at move-out, which can add to final charges. We also had minor nail holes from hanging pictures. Overall, Novo was a clean, peaceful place to live with a lot of positives that made it feel safe. It's not perfect--as no community is--but I felt supported by management, and I'm grateful for the time I spent there. read more

I am currently living in this apartment so my review is not final. Our first night in our apartment me and my bf stepped on a nail in our bedroom which is a surprise. Maintenance came by the following day to basically hammer it down and If we find anymore, to basically do the same thing he did. Crickets became our uninvited roommate for 2 weeks i believe? i remember waking up and stepping on one so that was great. They did call pest control so 1 pt for novo. Walls and ceilings are thin so if you're looking to hear your neighbors this is the place for you. This review is just the prelude. I agree parking is insufficient but the management and maintenance team here are INCREDIBLE! I had a work order request and they went above and beyond. Fixed my issue and they noticed another problem and solved it without me making another maintenance request. read more

We have been with these apartments for a few months now and it's being going down hill within the last month or so. There are random homeless people digging through the trash at night and the most recent Situation happened , we had 2 catalytic converters that got cut and the main office knows of this and yet they have not done anything . They haven't sent out emails or at least notified us of these occurrences. We found out from our neighbors. The gates are closed at night but these fences aren't completely closed and so we do have quiet a population for homeless just wondering around here . I'm starting to regret living here. I hope the management can take some action and fix this issues. read more

Novo Apartments - Car - Apartments Near Me - Kent, Washington

DO NOT LIVE HERE!!! Worst place I have ever lived!! They don't have enough parking spaces on the property for everyone who lives there. Guest aren't allowed to park on the property. Trying to get anything fixed is a JOKE!! Apparently a chirping smoke alarm that beeps every two minutes isn't enough of an emergency to get maintenance to come fix it! Not because he wasn't on property but because it isn't part of "protocol". Are you kidding me?! Tell that to my cat that was freaking out all night and me who couldn't sleep all night because of it! It took 5 visits and 4 WEEKS for them to get my dryer working again. It took 2 visits to fix my dishwasher that was pouring water all over the floor. It's a brand new place not even a year old why do they have soon many problems?! And they are not helpful as far as scheduling maintenance...it's basically if you can't work around their time frame...sorry screw you. DO NOT LIVE HERE!!! read more

We lived at NOVO for a year and had a great experience. The Ups. * The Management/Office Team - Leah, Jen, Debra fantastic all around. From the moment we contacted Jen to look at the property to the moment we submitted our move out notice. Lovely to work with, super helpful, always friendly and genuinely care about the community (a number of them live here too, which I think adds to that sentiment). * The homes and community property - brand new means finishes, appliances, floors, outlet placement (!).... all 5 star * Also, the gym, the pool, the ADA accessible doorways/halls, the times gate, maintenance team (s/o to Dave) and general beliefs about allowing tenants to make their apartment their home. The Downs. * Bugs - the pond is lovely, the wild Ernest area surrounding the property... also lovely. The downside to wilderness is the wild. Gotta take the bugs to get the views, the water, etc. Bonus points for duckies! * Noise - the other reviewer said it best, the laminate and vaulted ceiling combo is GREAT, except that it does make up-down noise amplified. Imagine stomping level sound, and those damned cats running back and forth. (That said, management was super empathetic and action oriented in terms of noise complaints for things like the surround sound action films at 2am). *** caveat, I can see why folks complain about parking, esp. for their guests but personally we paid the $35 extra to have a reserved carport space and don't regret it for a second. The Ugly. * Convenience - Unfortunately this community WAS conveniently located for Hwy18 access until the city put in 'no left turn' signs and eventually a mountable curb. I wish management had more forethought when it comes to the city. Had I known the city council (likely) was discussing these interventions I would have rallied my neighbors for a better solution (flashing yellow? regulation by hours etc). And I almost think it's more dangerous to have the entire community lining up to make U-turns at either light than to allow a safe left option. * Pricetag - this isn't fair perhaps but rent prices are out of control. When you're trapped paying the cost of a mortgage in rent, there's no trajectory option. These apartments are definitely prices for dual income families, young professional roommates or folks transitioning into retirement (says my neighbor). read more

A quiet, clean neighborhood! Management staffs are awesome, easy to deal with, and, they try to come up with free activities for the dwellers and it's friendly paws! Built in 2016, the property is going on 6 years old.  We lived here for 4 years and have had a positive experience overall.  We paid extra for covered parking and garage, so we had no issues with parking.  Otherwise, parking could be an issue. The only negative that we can agree with the other reviews would be the thin walls and noise from floors above.  But, really that is something we come to expect renting from anywhere.  Either live on the top floor or buy a home if you demand a sound proof experience.  The unit itself, Quartz 1, was spacious with large washer and dryers in the unit.  Dark laminate hardwood floors and stainless appliances looked really clean and modern.  We spiced it up by painting an accent wall in four rooms that made the place pop.  We just needed to prime those walls over before moving out.  Amenities are adequate if that is a huge deal.  We never choose an apartment based on the amenities, they are a bonus. The property was well maintained with very few issues that needed maintenance.  Jose is a great property manager that cares about tenants' well-being.  Other staffs, including leasing agents and maintenance, are professional and courteous. All issues that we have brought up have been dealt with professionally.  I would recommend this property if you are looking for luxury-like gated experience. The pond with the birds and ducks is a nice serene view.   I wish you luck trying to find a better priced square foot apartment in the area with quality.  We are writing this review after all charges for move-out have been presented.  There were no unexpected charges that we were not prepared to spend.  Hope this honest review aids in your search for an apartment.  Good luck. read more

One of the most unprofessionally managed and sketchiest apartments I have lived in. In the year and a half that we lived at Novo, my car and my fiancé's car were broken into 8 times. Other cars were constantly being broke into around us as well. Windows shattered and everything. The management not only would show no remorse, but never would work with me or anyone else to try and think of a solution to the problem. Throughout our time there we were being charged for random things that we would have to catch before paying the bill. We chose to end our lease early. Management seems very confused and like it's the tenants against the management. Not a very homey feeling to it. Upon moving out we faced many random charges, some that made no sense at all. Management works very hard to use your contract against you and squeeze every last penny out of you before you're gone. I had a friend who was going to live at Novo and I talked her out of it. I have lived here for about 4 months now and my boyfriend and I love it. The management are always super nice whenever I need something and the property is beautiful. Debra who works the front desk is probably my favorite person to talk to whenever I go in, she's super friendly & very outgoing! I love my apartment & where it's located. I have vaulted ceilings & am obesessed with them! Also, all the doors are larger than normal size which is great and there's a grey color scheme throughout the apartment which is perfect for us! We had some issues with noise complaints because the floors are not carpet and noise carries very easily with the high ceilings&walking sounds a lot louder on laminate(?) but things have gotten a lot better! The only issue we have really had is that there isn't a lot of parking by where we live & so it becomes a competition to get a spot... or people park like buttheads and park over the lines, in two spots, or compact cars park in the non-compact spots so it really sucks for us SUVs and trucks trying to fit in the compact spots. To the point where people park on or over the line and you can't get your car door open when you're completely in your space. Other than that, we are completely happy & are taking full advantage of the pool this summer that is awesome! & very well maintained. Thank you guys for keeping everyone happy! read more

Love the apartments the staff is awesome. I love the grounds and looking out to the pond. The bottom floor apartments are extremely cold the windows leak air constantly and the heaters are ineffective they run constantly even when thermostats and heaters are replaced. And the rent is pretty steep especially by the time you put water sewer and garbage added to your bill every month. read more

First off, there are not enough parking spots for all residents. When I asked about this they told me I could buy a reserved spot. Kinda ridiculous. The parking, other than that, is ridiculous anyways. They have super tight spot near garages that are nearly impossible to fit in (&, when you do, a resident will come and bark about not leaving enough space for them). Then there's the smoke detector...for almost a month the thing wouldn't stop. Ridiculous. Finally, there's the management. This place is terribly run. The office staff is good, but the people making decisions are apparently inept. Luckily for this place it is the only semi-decent spot near Covington. read more

The apartments are far from "luxury." The walls are so thin, you can literally hear the conversation your neighbors are having above you. The doors and windows are not insulated, the floors have come up in the bathroom, dining room, kitchen, and living room. The sewer system is a complete nightmare and the toilets never fill with water. The doorknobs have come off on every door in the apartment. The cabinets in the kitchen are either uneven or the ceiling is uneven because they don't open all the way. The cabinets only open half way before scrapping the ceiling. The apartment was brand new when we moved in and we have been here for two years. They are not worth the money they market them for. The management was great until a new team came in. They do not communicate, they never tell you when you have packages, and maintenance never lets you know when they were in your apartment to complete a work order. They over charge residents on utilities and increase the rent over $125 a year. With the inconvenience and noise of 272nd Street, the dead frogs in the stairwells, and the dog poop on the sidewalk no one, including the management company, cleans up, the property management should really rethink the prices they are marketing. The residents are very cruel and mean to each other and go as far as vandalizing others vehicles if you park where they don't like and become very aggressive when trying to have a friendly conversation. I would not suggest anyone, especially families, to live here unless the property management made a huge personnel change. My recommendation is to look elsewhere before thinking of living at The Novo Apartments. read more
