Rude staff and wayyyy overpriced apartments definitely wouldn't rent here again if I moved back.

Sauna has been out of service for almost 2 months and is frequently out of service and doesn't appear to be cleaned regularly , indoor hot tub doesn't look like it gets scrubbed / cleaned but maybe just appears to look dirty from being old . They are not the greediest place I've rented from but definitely not forgiving when it comes to any situation or mishaps with rent or the renters insurance in which if you are late to get the insurance they will charge you 50 dollars mid month and another 50 on the first of the month and every month after that . If you hate spiders or spider webs they are coated in the hallways during that season . I took my own broom and had to clear my area and the hallway before . Last but not least , parking has been an issue on the weekends with no assigned spots for your apartment unless you pay additionally for a car port or a garage . Parking has been so full that there will be no additional spots available throughout the whole very large complex and you end up having to park illegally because you have no other option unless you want to walk a mile . Other than that no issues . I still appreciate my home but if you're moving here for the sauna , I would hesitate . read more

Signature Pointe is loud. extremely loud for it's size and population. you can expect leaf blowers first thing in the morning every Wednesday. the law in Kent says that they can start at 7:00am. they'll be outside out window nearly exactly at 7:00. It has set off the hazardous volume warning on my watch in my living room more than once. when you talk to management they say they can't afford to do it any later or with different equipment. there are squirrels everywhere. at first I was like how cute, my dog will love chasing them. squirrels are basically rats. they're here because of the dumpsters. there's only about 6 garbage compactors for the entire complex. they are regularly full, overflowing, and pungent. there is a single recycle bin for the entire complex. probably because the laws says they have to have at least one. when you talk to management, they say they can't afford more dumpsters, or pest control. I pay about $24,000 a year here. each building has roughly 5 units in it. that's roughly $120,000 per building per year in rent. I count about 41 units in this complex. this place brings in roughly $4.9 million a year. I'm pretty sure with that budget they can afford some garbage pickup and rakes. I see signs of crime from time to time, however I've never been a victim. There are many, many loud cars from neighbors. read more

"Staff are friendly" sure, when they want to be. Management completely sucks though and I stamp that. The communication at this place is terrible. The young staff make this place look like you're checking into a college dorm. I was going to move here until I seen how they treat people attempting to move in. They act like they don't want you to move in. Or like it's a burden to ask them to do their job. Definitely don't waste your time with these people. They need a new property manager and I stamp that as a licensed realtor myself! read more

I'm slowly coming to the end of my lease here and it's been a battle every step of the way. First off our apartment was not move in ready. No wonder they refused to give us a walk through until the morning of our move in basically leaving us with no option but to take it as is. To remedy the situation Kelly the property management asked us to send a detailed email describing everything wrong with the place so she could have it fixed. To list a few... *Mold in window seals *mold under kitchen sink ( which they tried to tell us was paint then later replaced our cab it's still claiming it was just paint though) *every blemish is painted over including hair on the bathroom walls *clogged drains in both bathrooms (maintenance tried to gaslight us and said we just need to be patient and let the water drain, we complained and they sent someone else who pulled out the most globs of filth and hair) *FLEAS in so called "new carpet" my indoor dog had flea by day 2 living here which he's never had before (they contracted pest control who informed me that the infestation was bad and he would recommend I ask him to come at least 3 more times)(their response is passive and they act clueless simply saying well the carpet is new sooo) *random large holes that you can feel under the carpet so we didn't even bother furnishing the place (they came and inspected but never came to fix them) *windows sweat to the point that the entire window seal will have water all over it.... We were told to just crack a window every once in a while to prevent it. We did so and obviously that doesn't work with puddles of water. No wonder there mold. *bugs in washer upon move in *dryer completely broken, they had to replace it *stove/oven not getting to correct temp so that also had to be replaced *microwave not warming food whatsoever, we've had this issue on and off since being here they like to replace broken parts with used parts from unoccupied apartments ! And most recently our car was broken into mind you we live directly across the parking lot from the leasing office. They have no cameras or knowledge on how their courtesy patrol works but they will consistently email you assuring you of their nightly presence. I wish someone would've warned us about this place before we moved in I always want to stop anyone I see going in tours because they show you a show apt that doesn't even resemble the true quality of living. The only thing it resembles is the layout nothing more, so this is my warning to anyone who took the time to skim/read this just don't do it. It's not worth the heartache and frustration. And quite frankly your health because once again I'm almost 100% confident they have us living with mold. read more

The property itself is nice and slightly secluded. Right along the green river trail, there are great paths to walk and incredible views. The river borders most of the complex and we only have two entrances. This is great in that we are somewhat hidden from Kent itself. That has not prevented multiple car thefts from occurring, which security does not seem to care about and even the groundskeepers were annoyed when I reported broken glass from my car and two others. I don't blame the property for the car thefts. However, their Security did have to drive past at least 2 of my neighbors obviously damaged and now open vehicles for a minimum of 6 hours until I got up and reported my car (at least the third in this incident) gone at 7am. I discovered the other two by following the trail of broken glass from my vehicle. Nothing was secured until police arrived, no attempts made to notify any of the vehicle owners (they do have our license plates on file) and then having maintenance be annoyed when I reported the three separate piles of glass and lecture me about "locking your car" was great. Prices were increased to a CRAZY degree in 2022, but they did lower increases this year to win us back. As long as the jump after your teaser rate expires doesn't get you, $1800 a month isn't THAT bad. Now though, the office staff has turned completely indifferent to downright hostile. They send out "rent is now due" emails twice per month, regardless of whether you have paid or not and there is no way to opt out of the emails because they are also the only way they communicate any late fees or lease violations, so you cannot just treat them as spam. This has resulted in me thinking my rent payments have not gone through and almost paying them twice! Especially since they stopped providing any statements at the start of 2024 I now just have to trust them that their charges were correct, except for the utilities charges they outsource to Zego so you end up paying $10 extra a month in admin fees between the two companies. They also changed their renters insurance requirements to say you have to send them a copy of new coverage BEFORE your current coverage has expired. Regardless of whether they are listed as an interested party, they say that only sends notes to a PO Box and its on the renter to send it to the leasing office early. So if you have auto payments set, they will not notify you until the day of (too late for an insurance company to process anything) that they are about to charge you an extra $50 per month and unless you provide proof of insurance on the same day your policy expires. Then even if you provide proof the next day, this charge is non-refundable. They say it doesn't matter if you had coverage or not, only whether you send it to the leasing office on time. That part is also conveniently left out of the actual lease addendum where it just says you are "required to notify them" but does not specify how. You won't know that until you see an email from them, if you do. To top it off they'll then blame Geico or whoever you insure with for not sending the paperwork on time and pitch you their partner ePremium's insurance to "avoid any future issues." Geico has been just fine by me, thanks! They actually helped me when my car was stolen from your parking lot! The office has also gone to scheduled meetings only meaning you can never walk in and talk to anyone, probably because every time I'd ever gone in there I heard my neighbors having breakdowns over the high rent and they're just tired of it. Great location, terrible nickel and dime billing, awful communication and treatment of tenants. read more

I love these luxury apartments. I've been here 3 years and do not plan on moving. You name it they have it. Very cozy and comfortable here. The whole staff here are great also. Home Sweet Home Stephen 2019 I'm still here. I do not have no desire to move. I really like the color of the new paint job. I never get interrupted by maintenance, painters, Gardner's(yes, gardeners. The plants and landscape is beautiful, shady, cool etc. if you are reading this, stop what you are doing and give Signature Pointe Apartments a call for a tour. Staff Don't Know How To Pick Up or Answer The Phone . You literally have to bang on there leasing office door to get there attention .

Staff is professional and practices great communication. Work orders are followed through and if there is any doubt, they will call to clarify. The parking is a huge issue. I wish they would assign spots and have areas designated for guests. Property on 47 acres should have a better parking protocol than what they have. Aside from the parking, Signature Pointe is a great community to live at. I resided here from 1995 - 1997 and returned in 2019 until present. With Covid making it difficult; the staff made sure we were thought about and helped us through it. Food banks coming to our property with great food to include produce, fruits and fantastic snacks for the children as well as dairy products (gallons of milk). Then they referred tenants to the rental assistance program to ensure the financial burden was off of our plate. We immediately had a case manager for our account and barely did any running around. The staff communicated with us regarding our application. Signature Pointe cares and they have only gotten better and better. Thank you for your professionalism and being not just a property manager but our neighbor! read more

I lived at this apt for 1yr and a half, everything was great, I took great care of my apt, I had to move to avoid higher rent, so when I moved they charged me an additional 500$ for closing costs, and the charges were for small insignificant fees, ok place ,but terrible treatment, they charge you for every little thing when u move read more

I want to start off by saying that I used to think this was the best place to live. That was right up until I realized the truth about how the residents are treated. I recently discovered what happens every time to you make a complaint to the office staff. They simply write it down and send it to corporate office which from there nothing is done. Absolutely nothing is done or done to resolve the situation. We have spent nights hiding in our closet because people are shooting guns outside our apartment window. Under age Parties rage on allllllll night every weekend long. There is NO kind of staff or help from the apartments when these parties rage on and for the people that have to work in the mornings DO NOT MOVE HERE YOU WILL NEVER GET SLEEP AGAIN. when 5 cars were blocked in they told us it was private property and to handle it ourselves.. we have called the cops numerous times only to be told it's private property and there's nothing they can do We have been attacked 7 times on the trail behind the apartments because nobody polices the trail and no leashes are expected to be worn on any dogs. The pools have been closed for TWO YEARS due to not being in working order (and covid as well) but two YEARS??? you have to split water with everyone in your building so if you don't use slot of water but Sally upstairs does then you are beyond screwed. Recently we were victims of a hate crime due to being a lesbian couple and the apartments have taken no action and are forcing us to live next to the people who consistently and forcefully threaten us and our lifestyle. I was also recently diagnosed with cancer and the apartment staff came to my apartment to tell me that my blinds are an eyesore, they won't fix it they won't help me fix it they won't pay for it they expect me to pay for it, and when I told them that I'm dealing with all my bills from my cancer treatments they scoffed and walked off instead of showing any kind of empathy to my situation. The utter terrible depression and horrific mental instability this has caused me is issue enough. If those aren't enough reasons to look elsewhere for living arrangements then I don't know what is. read more

We searched for Tacoma and University Place, went looking, but the quality and view inside the apartments simply shocked. Honestly, we were already a little desperate, we thought that all apartments in America were like that. But by chance, through search sites, we found Signature Point. We arrived, looked at the territory first, liked it very much. Vlada met us, showed us the exhibition apartments, so that we could understand in which we would live. It was like a breath of fresh air, faith returned)))) Then we looked at the apartments in which we were considering signing a contract, we were not disappointed. read more

I'm leaving a review because this is the second time their staff came in my apartment without notice. The first time I was lucky because I had my door jammed but this time I was in the shower and naked when I came out to see who was making noise when I was home alone. I demanded the man leave and the guy refused and threatened me for raising my voice (in my own home, while caught in the nude). I put in a request to have a light bulb changed and they saw that as permission to come in unannounced and apparently stay in your apartment despite hearing the shower running. I tried to complain to the office and they LAUGHED at me. I will not renew my lease and I warn anyone against moving in. God forbid I was my wife or a child, this could have been so much worse for everyone involved. read more

I really did not enjoy living here, but any complaints I had about the normal stuff pale next to what happened when I decided to move out early. They tried to charge me a $3,000 fee that I did not owe, and threatened to start debt collection if I did not pay it. They also asked me to _pay_ my security deposit amount _as part of my move-out costs_, rather than crediting it against what I owed. If you lease here, please be very, very careful. This is what happened, all via email, so yes I can prove it: Me: I'm going to move out next month Sig Pointe Asst Manager Jhunida Roman: Ok, you have to pay the $3,000 lease buyout fee. Me: Are you telling me that I MUST pay the lease buyout fee? Asst Manager: Yes. Me, copying in Property Manager Kelly Coonley: Are you nuts? Talk to someone who understands the lease! ** Sig Pointe then sent me an invoice for the $3,000 lease buyout fee, with a total that also charged me my security deposit, and threatened to start debt collection and ding my credit if I did not pay. ** Me to Ms. Coonley (still assuming that she understands the lease): I'm not paying the lease buyout fee, and fix the math on my security deposit, which should be in the "credits" column, not the "charges" column! Ms. Coonley: The invoice you received is correct, you have to pay it. Me: *@^&#$@^!!!! You see, the lease buyout fee is optional. In Washington, if you move out before the end of your lease, your landlord must try to re-rent the apartment. You only have to continue paying rent until the unit is re-rented. (RCW 59.18.310). You can, IF YOU WANT TO, instead pay a lease buyout fee that means you don't have to pay any rent after you move out. Either you roll the dice with the unit being re-rented, or you pay a fixed-amount lease buyout fee. They tried to force me to pay the lease buyout fee, and I doubt I'm the first person. Also, not understanding that a security deposit is charged at the beginning of the lease, not at the end (and failing to correct what could have been a mere oopsie daisy when I pointed it out) is jaw-dropping. It took me sending a six-page legal brief to the parent companies to get their attention. Magically, I was then allowed to pay what I owed and nothing more. I suspect Ms. Coonley and her staff are "merely" dumb, but I also suspect that they make more money if everyone pays the buyout fee. Funny how their ignorance steers people towards the more expensive option. read more

God where do I start? First of all vlada never did a walkthrough with us to show her the damages the apartment had from previous owners . The apartment was disgusting. The patio was moldy and dirty and they are now trying to blame us for it being moldy? Yeah nice try . They also put us in the back where I can obviously see that it was African Americans and Mexicans in the back. Spider webs EVERYWHERE spiders crawling all over us hanging over our doors. And when we went to go see the apartments by the office absolutely clean! What a joke. We also heard the office staff talking about residents. They just paint over damages . Worst apartment ever. No security even though there is a security booth? We got robbed and all the cared about was the police report . Yeah nice try. Want us to pay 5,600 to leave ? We will be sending all the evidence to the BBB . No walkthrough means no evidence of the damages done before us. But we took photos of the damages right when we moved in. We aren't dumb. read more

I've lived here very happily and peacefully for 12 years. The property is exceptionally well maintained. The management staff is very accommodating and responsive to my needs. They treat me more like family than just an occupant. I've enjoyed many upgrades to my unit since living here. The best recreational facilities I've ever seen in an apartment complex. Full gym with all the machines, free and cable weights, a yoga studio, half court indoor basketball court, tennis court, and a beautiful trail along the Green River for walking, jogging or bicycling, and indoor and outdoor pools and spa's. Also great digital lockers for packages. The fact that I've stayed here 12 years pretty much speaks for itself. This is not just my apartment, it's home. Wouldn't live anywhere else in the valley! read more

Unfortunately my boyfriend and I were assigned Alona as our application manager. She has been so worthless and unhelpful this whole process. From the start we told her we didn't have any rental history and she goes around for the first week asking for rental history at our old residence where we lived with our parents. Then she texts us saying we got denied and when we called her to ask what the reason was, her response was to call RentGrow because all they do is "put it in the system and it says either accepted or denied" so she gives us the number to call them and we call and he says we were accepted... She then goes to find the reason out of thin air saying our co signer didn't make enough. After further conversation we end up adding another co-signer to make up the difference and she calls her saying she didn't give her ssn, once again we call her back and we tell her it's on the application . We then hear from her the next day saying we are denied with no reasoning. Turns out we didn't even need a co-signer CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT . We asked to speak to the manager but calls would cut and we would end up speaking to another office person. Waste of time and terrible communication on everybody's part. read more
