I arrived on time for my scheduled appointment; however, George was outside smoking and another barber had to retrieve him. While that was not an ideal start , my primary concern was hygiene. Durining the service, his hands had a STRONG SMELL of CIGARETTE SMOKE, and that lingered with me for the rest of the day. Given the close personal nature of barber service, this was UNPLEASANT an UNPROFESSIONAL. I wanted to bring this to you attention, as I assume this does mnot reflect the standaards you aim to uphold. Walking into this barbershop felt good, the staff was polite and very welcoming…read more I had not planned on getting a haircut I entered with my brother in law and when asked if I wanted one lol I said I have no hair to cut, the lady there said "but you got a beard" I thought to myself: good point lol she sold me just like that and pointed to her colleague and I sat in a chair. Immediately the gentleman proceeded to ask me about my beard and how I would like it trimmed up. I was pleased and surprised by their hospitality. I immediately thanked him and he said "you haven't seen nothing yet" I was not disappointed, this man took me to beard heaven and back lol, the shaving cream was warm, it smelled great, the straight razor was smooth and sharp. He trimmed up my beard, and lined it up. I received a facial with a steamed towel and then he misted my face with a cool spritz, he slapped me around with some aftershave and I was ready to go. Several years ago, I patronized this establishment when the owner was working there, so I knew that he would only hire barbers with a broad repertoire of skills. I called today and asked if anyone there did flattops. The barber who answered the phone said that while they don't get a chance to do many of them, they are all adept at cutting them. Having gone more than three weeks without a maintenance trim, I set up an appointment with Nacho (aka Chris) and was ready to take my chances with what could happen. Surprise! Surprise! He did an outstanding job with the cut. He gave me exactly what I asked for - a high and tight flattop with shaved sides and a nice crisp deck. If I had known he was going to be so good, I'd have let him do a nice military flattop (aka horseshoe flattop). Well, there's always next time. I was impressed by Chris's cordial nature, calm demeanor, and attention to details with the cut. The ambience is the shop is calm and soothing. The TV isn't blaring. The barbers and clients aren't having to talk over loud music either. Anyone who has had a flattop knows that not every barber can do them and make them look good. Thankfully, Chris can!

That's completely understandable as I feel like most barbershops nowadays focus more on appointments than walk-ins. She was also fully booked on Monday so we made an appointment for today. When we walked into the shop we were greeted by May a lovely older lady who runs the shop. She welcomed us in and immediately made us feel comfortable. May was very knowledgeable when it came to cutting and styling longer hair for boys and she gave my brother an amazing haircut. He absolutely loved it! It's honestly great seeing him so happy and confident with his new haircut. May will definitely be his go to barber from here on out! I'm so happy we found someone he trusts with his hair. Laurie meet with me and escorted me to her station. We briefly spoke of what, if any, concerns that I might have and she went to work. What a fantastic experience.
