NRMA MotorServe Artarmon Rude. Absolutely rude. My first experience was good, so I decided to take my car back for a second service. My second experience was really bad, I should have read the reviews before I took my car there. I took my car in for a routine service and also asked them to look into a vibration noise that is coming from the dashboard. The technician told me that a $3000 Manifold needs replacing (he diagnosed this without test driving the car first). I told him that I'm getting a second opinion. As I drove away, I heard the noise again and I could swear it sounded like a loose screw somewhere underneath the dashboard, so I drove the car back and told them that it is definitely a loose screw. The technician then decided to go for a test drive and finally heard the noise (which wasn't that expensive manifold that he said it was). He asked me to leave the car overnight, and this is where the rudeness began. The technician told me that he'll call me the day after to let me know when I can pick the car up. I had to call them at 3pm as I haven't heard from them. The technician got on the phone and aggressively told me that he doesn't know when it'll be ready. I told him that I need an approximate time and I don't accept an "I don't know" answer. He told me that he'll call me back at 5pm to let me know. I called them back at 5.15pm and asked when my car will be ready. This rude technician now started talking over me, raising his voice and treating me like I'm piece of crap. I told the guy that he needs to give me a time or day. He yelled out "4pm tomorrow". I told him that 4pm is outrageous as I assumed I was getting my car back today. He then said to me "You asked me to give you a time, so I gave you one", then he started laughing with his work mates in the background. I am furious. I already spent $620 on a service, and now I'm being treated like I'm a piece of crap. I told him that I expect a call tomorrow at 10.30am with an update. Morning After: They called me at 11.15am and told me my car was ready. I picked up the car and paid a further $280. They told me they test drove the car and there was no buzzing noise. As soon as I got in the car, buzzing, louder than ever. I received a dodgy receipt that says nothing about the work they did. This is my car and I expected good customer service from NRMA. I didn't expect rude technicians laughing at me and dismissing me. I actually believe they did nothing to my car and just decided to charge me, this is how bad their behaviour was. I will never, ever go back to that place again. I expected more from NRMA. My partner, my sister and my partners 2 sisters have also decided not to take their cars there anymore after they heard about my experience. That is 5 customers they lost. read more
