I have been in the shop twice and was disappointed both times…read more On the first visit (during a Braselton Chocolate Walk), I met the owner who told me that she had originally wanted a more "cosmopolitan" and "New York" vibe for the place and emphasized her frequent travels to everywhere but the South. The message I got is that Braselton is a bit backwater for her taste. Kind of bizarre considering that the business (and her customer base) is located here. Also, with a name like "Naked South" I would expect some Southern offerings. None of their stock represents anything remotely local. Shops in Athens, Madison, etc. manage to represent local goods while remaining on-trend, so it can definitely be done. It would be nice to see that here. On my second visit, I tried to buy an item to give as a gift. The three employees in the store were so busy socializing with each other that they couldn't take the time to acknowledge me standing at the register, wallet in hand. I left without making a purchase and haven't been back since. The way I see it, this is a missed opportunity. The location is great and the layout, fixtures and finishes are really appealing. If they were earnest about providing customer service and represented the area it could be a great place to shop.

I even nabbed a pair of jeans there yesterday. The same brand (Celebrity Pink) is available for purchase online at Macy's and Belk for a lot more $. Much of the plus size tops are solid colored, but that's perfect for me. They do usually have a few cute prints but I prefer pairing solids with a cute scarf. As a plus size woman, finding this place was such a blessing. Sooooo many retailers sell clothes that just don't make sense for plus size women. Places like Torrid and Lane Bryant charge a fortune for the same quality clothes. My teenager loves this store too. Between the two of us, we have tons of clothes that have lasted a long time. Most of their leggings are par with lularoe and over half the price. They have a huge selection of medium/big cheer bows for like $2-3. I could live without the jewelry section. It is small and personable and you can get in and out with ease. The store carries, bags, scarves, hats, jewelry and other accessories. For that very special occasion bling, they carry decorative, (jeweled), tiaras, combs and barrettes and whatever you might need. I find it really difficult to find adult hair accessories that are reasonably priced. The only option is really the kiosks that you see in the mall but the ones I like are from $20 to $30. At this store, the accessories are way more affordable. The owner/manager was very helpful, even trying on pieces for me to see and holding up items for me to photograph. I was able to send the picture to my daughter and have her select the item that she wanted. It was perfect! This is a great place for teens who need special accessories for prom, homecoming or any other special event and for women who might be celebrating a special anniversary or preparing for a holiday party. Services are great and prices are more than reasonable. Definitely worth the drive!
