They way they manage the entire project from the first to last step, is a constant reminder on why they are worth it. They run this ship like a well oiled machine! Every appointment was so professional, always on time, and always informative. From the very first appointment with Joe, he was so kind and personable and informative. He really treats the whole appointment like an educational session, and I understand why now. I was thankful for all the information, and how non-salesy he is, no pressure and just really comfortable and detailed as well. He provided very professional, detailed drawings and photos of what it would look like. When we met the project manager, Chris, he was just as friendly and personable and informative. He kept us updated at every step, and was on top of every detail. He always texted us updates, and very communicative. The crew they sent out - AMAZING. Not only did they get the job done in half the time, but their attention to detail was above and beyond! They were very friendly, and top notch on their work ethic. On the final clean up day, I was expecting maybe an hour of tidying up, but what I got was one extremely dedicated guy that spent 5 hours METICULOUSLY double checking every inch of my entire yard, even the areas that they did not work on. He cleaned every inch of our yard, the street, the driveway and even part of our neighbors! He held a level AGAIN at every section of the pavers and double checked it, and then he cleaned and cleaned and cleaned. Every time I thought he was almost done, he'd come back with a new tool for more cleaning. Truly, I've never seen a crew work so hard and diligently and be so scrupulous with their attention to detail. You also get a portal to track the entire project, and to access all the warranty and contract docs that no one wants to file anyway. They were also the highest bid we…read morereceived (around $38,000), but we believed we were paying for quality, expertise, and project management. Their sales presentation was impressive, and we were told they would coordinate everything for our pool patio remodel. Unfortunately, our experience looked nothing like the polished videos we were shown. The project stretched from February 5 until May 14 and required constant homeowner involvement. Instead of having a project manager ensuring the work met quality standards, I felt like I became the project's quality-control inspector, inspecting every stage of construction, discovering mistakes, documenting issues, and asking for them to be corrected. I expected to hire a contractor. Instead, I spent three months acting as the quality-control inspector for my own project. During the project we dealt with broken pool pipes, damage to our pool aerator, fill tank, and underground plumbing, uncapped sprinkler lines beneath the patio, missing weed barriers, uneven pool coping, improper edging, damaged landscaping, and extensive construction debris left throughout our property and neighboring yards. In addition, several pieces of our personal property were damaged or destroyed, including a broken pool net, broken garden hoses, a seven-foot wooden shade post that workers used as a cutting surface, and a planter that was thrown away after crews moved retaining wall blocks to drive equipment through our yard. We also endured weeks of piles of pavers, dirt, rocks, and construction materials stacked in front of both our home and neighboring properties, along with plastic bottles, McDonald's bags, and other food waste left behind by crews. One thing that became obvious was the lack of communication between departments. The salesperson promised certain things that the installation crews clearly never knew about. For example, we specifically discussed reusing our landscape rock, but it was thrown away during demolition because that information never reached the crew. Customer service became increasingly frustrating. When we emailed management documenting workmanship concerns, we received little response regarding the actual problems but had no trouble receiving payment requests. During one phone call, the project manager told us, "We thought the ship had sailed on customer service." Hearing that after months of issues was incredibly disappointing. One issue that really damaged our trust involved the sprinkler system beneath the patio. When water started shooting through the middle of the new pavers, we were initially told the lines had definitely been capped and it must simply be leftover water. Once someone inspected the problem in person, the response became, "Oh, we must not have capped them." Because multiple pool components had already been damaged during demolition, I insisted on having the underground plumbing pressure tested before resurfacing the pool. That test found additional damage that required repair before the pool could be completed. Had we not pushed for that testing, the pool company told us hidden leaks could have remained beneath newly installed plaster. Near the end of the project, I refused to sign the Certificate of Completion until the remaining work was finished. I was initially told work would have to be delayed if I didn't sign first. After refusing, management then said they would finish the work regardless of my signature. That experience left me questioning why there was so much pressure to sign paperwork before the project was actually complete. To be fair, not everything was negative. The second project manager, Jose Corral, completely changed the direction of the project. He was knowledgeable, honest, respectful, and immediately recognized many of the quality issues that had been overlooked. He worked hard to make things right and deserves recognition because he was the one person who consistently treated us like valued customers. I understand that construction projects can have unexpected challenges. My frustration isn't that everything didn't go perfectly--it's that we paid premium pricing and repeatedly had to advocate for issues that should never have occurred in the first place. Looking back, I don't regret investing in our home--I regret having to spend three months acting as the quality-control inspector on a premium-priced project. Homeowners shouldn't have to monitor every phase of construction just to ensure the work is completed correctly. If you're considering System Pavers, keep detailed written records, photograph every phase of the project, inspect everything before it gets covered up, and don't sign completion paperwork until every punch-list item has been completed. We paid a premium believing their system was superior and would properly bond to our pool deck concrete. Unfortunately, this has been the worst decking product we've experienced. Over the many years we have lived at this property, we have had a pool deck resurfaced 3 times. AZ DECK was the least durable, for a product they sold as the best. The decking is pealing and cracking where it has never done it before !! The surface cracked and peeled again, leaving us with the same failures we were trying to avoid by choosing a higher-priced company. Despite the claims of a specialized chemical bonding process, my wife and I never observed any visible concrete treatment or preparation beyond what appears typical for standard resurfacing. Whatever process was represented clearly did not result in better durability. The premium price did not translate into premium performance. I strongly recommend homeowners look elsewhere. I contacted the sales rep and the company. Crickets. checked the BBB. "This business is NOT BBB Accredited"

It wasn't something that I sought out. So I left an honest review of my experience. I completely agree with other contractors being licensed and having horrible reviews. Your reviews looked great, which is why I called you in the first place. Great craftsmanship/ reviews or not, a homeowner is still liable if someone on the job gets injured and that could have potential to ruin someone's life in a lawsuit. It Has nothing to do with the quality of work but just liability in general. The only thing that was questionable is how long you've been in business and are just now getting your license. I had Isaiahs come over and clean up weeds maybe three times but the last time his worker hacked…read moreand broke with a shovel my irrigation line. But I didn't find out till later when the planter box was all flooded like a lake and overflowing like a river to the street. I found the broken PVC right where I instructed his worker to plant an agave fior me. When I told Isaiah's TFH Landscaping that his worker broke the sprinkler line, ISAIAHs said he would send the worker over to do the repair in a couple days which Isaias said was Tuesday, the worker never showed up. When I called him to say the worker never showed up he said he would come in a couple days and he personally will come and be there. Well Isaias never showed up. What's worse is he used to answer the phone on the first ring and was "always there for me" and even said "You know I am always here for you and I answer the phone". But after he didn't show up two times he wasn't answering the phone anymore .... ever. I left many, many messages telling Isaias I was disappointed that not only does he not show up to do the repair that his worker broke, but he deliberately is ghosting me for weeks. He sees from caller ID it is me calling for him to repair something he damaged (I sent pictures of the hacked irrigation pipe in the hole where the agave got blown outta there from the broken line), so he deliberately does not answer the phone ever again to BE THERE FOR MEEEEE, like he told me previously. That deserves 1 Yelp star. So you think I'm going to do business with him if he doesn't even answer the phone ever? Someone told me "because they don't get paid to repair their mistakes and have to take time out from already paying jobs to go to a job that doesn't pay. I never spoke to Isaias again because he didn't care to come back ad fix the broken pipe his worker hacked to pieces. That deserves 1 Yelp star don't you think? I have a new landscaper who has many solid 5 Yelp stars, and so far he has shown up every time I needed him, right on time, even when he squeezed me in. But I have no experience if he will show up to fix something he didn't do right, because nothing like that has happened so far.

Plus, had to get HOA approval for a pergola - never fun, but finally got through that. Second contact was Ali toward the end with the irrigation and plants. Easy to deal with. Once the contract was signed, they indicated 2-3 weeks to begin, and that was accurate. Supply delivery began about five days prior to commencing work. The initial crew wasted no time getting to work. They kept the premises clean. Everyone professional. Quality: All I can say, is so far so good! Nice paver work, Pergola looks great. Electrical all appears properly done. Turf looks great. We are very happy with the results. Everyone cleaned up after themselves. Delays: none of any consequence. Toward the end, had to wait for the pergola parts to arrive. About three weeks to complete entire job.

My wife found NULAWN a year or so ago when we had minor problems with our sprinkler and drip systems. Owner Brett came out and evaluated the system, made minor adjustments to keep us going and gave us very straightforward advice on what needed to be done longer term without trying to pressure sell. Fast forward to a year later when we wanted to redo our entire backyard landscaping to make it a more functional place for our young daughters to play and to repair deteriorating patio coverage and pool decking. We called out Brett and again he was very professional, friendly and responsive. He quickly developed several alternative solutions and clearly laid out the costs for each. He was very accessible to answer all questions as we went through the decision making process and never tried to up sell us to the highest priced options. The work was done in the time promised and for the exact quote given. The demolition of the old covering was more difficult and time consuming than anticipated, but they did not attempt to cut corners or increase the quoted price. Several small amenities that we hadn't thought of were added as the project progressed and Brett realized they would make the end result more perfect, again with no price increase. Our experience with NULAWN was nothing but positive and the results far exceeded our expectations. We started our landscape project with another company. I had received quotes from 4 companies to start out with and narrowed it down to 2. I really did my homework (or I thought I had). I felt the most comfortable with Brett Massie. He was honest and took the time with me and my husband yet he was a bit higher in price and we chose a different pergola which he did not carry. We started our project in 5/21. Due to the pandemic everyone was backed up and said we would not receive product for 3 months. After 4 months of calling this company G. Michael Price. They were so nice, however, they could not even start on my project. I called Brett Massie and he was so kind and apologetic. Apologizing for my agony that I had been going through and sympathizing. We hired him and his crew on 9/3/21 by 10/21/21 we had our pavers and rock put in. Everyone even Brett told us the pergola was going to take the longest. Brett communicated with ME every few weeks to update me on the pergola. Then on 12/3 Merry Christmas we received our pergola. In 14 weeks time our job was complete. Brett and Nulawn have been taking care of my landscaping for several years and they've always done a great job and are very timely in responding. They have always done a wonderful job on maintaining the landscaping, valves, drip lines, etc. Brett even met us at a nursery to help my wife and I pick out plants to complete our landscaping. Brett has also taken on major projects for us. A few years ago he and his team completed a driveway extension for us which turned out perfect. I met Brett 5 yrs ago and discussed work, lawn and pool maitenence. Both services were performed in excellent manor. When I decided to transform my backyard into a resort style, i never called anybody but NuLawn, where Brett designed and brought autocad design drawings, which were spectactular. They pebbletec'd the pool, travertine tiled and astro turf the yard complete with new plants and landscape lighting as per plan. Truly a resort type yard! One of my rental homes needed a pool and backyard landscape makeover, again NuLawn was called and did the same fantastic job as on my house. Nulawn just completed my front yard conversion from grass to desert landscaping, with irrigation, paver walkways and lighting. It took about a week for the conversion and I am very pleased with the transition. The company was professional, has good attention to detail and a strong work ethic. We recently decided to landscape the dirt part of our backyard. After receiving several estimates we decided to go with NULAWN. Cannot speak enough about how pleased we were throughout the whole process. The owner came out personally several times. Even met us at the nursery to hand pick out the plants that we wanted. Nulawn recently trimmed 3 mesquite trees in my front yard that had grown out of control, and fixed my old irrigation system. I am very pleased with the results. The trees look great, and I can already see some of my dead grass and plants come to life now that they are getting the proper watering. Brett was very responsive to my questions and concerns, and carefully evaluated a couple different options for my irrigation. He always takes the time to explain the work that needs to be done and is very clear about the cost. This company was very flexible in meeting our specific requests in putting in our back yard. Offered earth friendly suggestions. They installed artificial turf, granite, pony wall around pool equipment and a magnificent built in gas grill. They were able to do all the work without bringing in subcontractors. Includes all the hardscape, electrical and gas to the grill. They were neat and clean along with being flexible when design changes were made partway through the process. I would welcome NuLawn back should I want more work or changes done. I recommend NuLawn for all your landscape needs. read more

We got several estimates for our front yard lawn-to-rock conversion. We got everything ranging from crazy low ball quotes to estimates that would have covered the gardens at Versailles! Brett was reasonable and fair and explained his process in a way that made sense. He works efficiently, has great ideas and a super crew. Everything came together better than we could have hoped and the end result has drawn comments for several of our neighbors. I just had my entire front yard completely redone with RV parking on the side yard and a custom paver walk & entrance up to the front door. The whole design is a desert friendly design with low maintenance and minimal watering. We had a grass lawn before, but always had irrigation issues and it was costly to water. These folks at Greenheart Pergolas went above and beyond in their expert workmanship and meticulous detail orientation. Our team of Dagney (supervisor) and installers Pancho and Agustin were thorough and detailed in their work and care. After digging footers, laying concrete and installing the structure as precisely measured, cleaned up both the debris and Pergola leaving the perimeter as if nothing had happened. The 10' by 13' pergola, along with a sliding side screen now covers our spa so we can enjoy it more than ever. We highly recommend these folks who not only do pergolas but other outdoor landscape jobs. They are professional, amicable, friendly, great to work with as well as reasonably priced.

He was on-site every day that work happened, and took the inevitable timing changes due to my schedule or that of the pizza oven delivery in-stride. More importantly, he listened carefully to what our desires and needs were, and helped guide the plan toward some things we love now that we would never have known to ask for - such as wall-side seating where we can watch children play. He brought the wrong bushes and the artificial turf he installed had two obvious seams. The irrigation timer he installed and set himself failed The trees suffered and looked dead. The bushes looked frozen in time except for 1 of the 8 that stayed green. Of course he said it was my fault the timer failed. After numerous additional promises to replace the sorry looking trees and bushes his guys finally showed up. They spent two hours fixing the timer. Of course Hector magnanimously offered to waive his usual fee for the two hours. Never again.

Once and awhile I would get a promise from Hector that they would be out that week to fix it. No one showed. Months went by and still nothing.
