Had a really great experience working with Brett and his crew on a front yard remodel. Brett is very easy to discuss ideas with and offers good pointers along the way. I was really tired of fighting the AZ sun to keep my lawn alive and NuLawn came through with a turf conversion and new paver walkway. Topped it off with some new trees, shrubs, and desert grass to balance the design. I'm already collecting compliments :) Work was completed from demo to cleanup in just about 3 days. Just hired NULAWN to do another landscaping project at my home. I can't say enough about how impressed I have been with this company from start to finish. They return every call, attention to detail, help with input based on your ideas to make your project the best! Attention to detail and quality work is 100%! We ended up using Nulawn based on a rave review from a family friend. They did not exaggerate, these guys were awesome. Brett, the owner, talked to us about what we were looking for, and when he came back with the design we were sold. He listened to our ideas, and put a splash of his style on it, as well. This was a major transformation of our entire yard including a new front patio with pony wall, paver sidewalk & stairs to the street, paver driveway extension, paver drive to RV gate and RV pad, travertine everywhere (almost) in the backyard, turf, irrigation, accent lighting, rain gutters, and pool makeover (side company). Our entire yard was a "war zone" for awhile, but Brett was there regularly to oversee the quality and progress. He had his own crew that were there daily (same crew / no "day laborers") from 6a to 4p (sometimes) later. Great group of guys that were extremely hard workers, and you could tell they took pride in the work they did. The entire project took exactly one month (just as Brett had estimated) from start to finish, which in this line of work is UNHEARD OF. We have friends that recently had less work done, that ended up taking several months. Neighbors drove by slowly everyday to see what transformations had taken place, and big things happened daily. I was very hesitant to get this project started, as any of these construction type projects usually come with a lot of headaches, delays, and surprises. That was NOT the case here. We only had one complication, and that was a couple guys (subs) that did the the pool tile. I don't recall their names, but I would not use their services again. Brett was on top of it, and made sure it was completed to our satisfaction. Other than that minor stumble, everything went smooth. I would use Nulawn a hundred times again, and would ABSOLUTELY RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE! We look forward to entertaining family, friends, and clients in our new spaces for years and years to come. Brett and his crew did an awesome job on our backyard remodel. It took them about 4 days to complete the project and everything they did was done professionally and with our wishes in mind. When it was all said and done, we ended up with an additional 210 square feet of new paver patio that transitions from our old patio flawlessly. They also installed artificial grass and edged it with pavers that match our patio, he prepped the rest of our yard for gravel installation (which we did ourselves) and added some decorative tree rings for us as well. We chose NuLawn because Brett was very honest and upfront with us when addressing our wants with realistic results. We asked for and received price quotes from 8 different local contractors with a verified track record of experience in successfully handling a complete comprehensive backyard turn key remodeling, job. The scope of work included some landscape design and irrigation sprinkler upgrades. Removal and resurfacing of the existing pool interior with pebble tech in the 26,,000 gal. pool, removal of the existing patio pavers and replacement with travertine stone tile and matching travertine upgrades on fire pit, the BBQ built-in and plumbing upgrades. We noted the quick response from Brett at NULAWN, who returned our initial call the very day that we first contracted his office, and scheduled a follow-up site visit for the next day. Other contractors took a week or sometimes 2 weeks or longer to return our calls. The original price quote received from NULAWN was detailed and complete, but most importantly, gave us some good options to consider in making the entire final project design a product that included the input ideas of our own, and some greatly valued contributions from Brett and his experience. I had my trees serviced by Brett again today. The complete and total service is amazing! Brett was responsive and quick, more than competitive on his quote and even recommended I wait and not waste my money...that's an indication of character! They trimmed all of my big palms (8) but also took it upon themselves to also trim up my other 10 wee palms and propped up the ones what were sagging. That was above and beyond. Even better, I swear they left my yard cleaner than it was when they arrived. This type of service is so uncommon these days. Consider me a customer for life. read more

After going back and forth with 6-8 different landscape companies, changing the scope of the project twice, I settled on Brett @ Nulawn. He did a fantastic job getting me on the schedule. A little hiccup with some guys being sick on his crew so took a couple extra days to complete but everything turned out great and he accommodated me every step of the way. I know I'm picky and not easy to deal with and like to stay in communication every step of the way so he was great at keeping me up to date. Nulawn was sub contracted by my contractor to move my irrigation valve box 6 feet so I could have a master bed and bath addition added to my home. He ended up replacing all of the valves and moving the boxes as he was asked but made no mention of any pipes needing to be moved. At my request the contractor asked him to come back out and turn off the valves that ran station underneath the new foundation. But he refused to come back out. After multiple attempts to reach him he failed to respond. Now the addition is done and the sloppy Work he did resulted in three cracked lines running underneath the new addition foundation. Not only do I now have to fix all of the lines due to his negligence it's going to end up costing me far more than it should. If a job is too small or out of your league don't accept it unless you're going to do it with integrity and do it right. Avoid this company and their sloppy work, unless you want a sinkhole to develop on your property. read more

I would not recommend these guys. I had a bad experience with the owner Brett. With the first initial conversation it took a few days for him to even make it out to my house to see what work needs to be done. I was looking to put in a few things (grass, gravel, pavers) When I showed him my back yard he was pretty rude and treated me like I was uneducated. I asked for suggestions since I wasn't entirely sure of what I wanted. He made several comments where he belittled me and made me feel dumb. Towards the end of conversation he asked me what my budget was and of course I did not want to share that incase he wanted to jack up the price. He then asked me if I knew he was a professional contractor and I was speechless. (Umm, duh!) I just didn't want to share how much money I was willing to spend! Then to top it off he never emailed me a quote like he said he was. I guess he didn't want the job and I definitely didn't want his service with his garbage attitude. I would look at other companies if you're looking for a company that will treat you right and respect you. read more

I hired NuLawn to remake my ugly entry into a show stopper... and they did not disappoint. They took sad brushes, old tired rock and removed all of it, and created a custom Mid-Century Patio wall design by R. Baker Design Group. New pavers, ran drip lines and planted ground cover. Overall, the project took about 7 days, but the outcome is great. Now just waiting on custom gates to complete the look. I would highly recommend NuLawn for your custom need or just to update your current look. I hope to add a photo after gates are installed. read more

Last summer, one of our monsoon storms knocked over a tree in my yard and pulled up and broke some of the concrete curbing that surrounded the grass in my yard. I had called several companies, including my original landscaper, and they either promised to call me and never did or ignored my messages. I had received a door flyer about NuLawn, checked their Yelp ratings, and called. Brett answered the phone, set up an appointment, and was out within 2 or 3 days to assess the situation. We discussed several different options and determined a solution. One of his team members was there within days to do the work, and Brett also provided the important "do's and don'ts" to ensure that I didn't accidentally water or otherwise damage the drying concrete. We would definitely recommend Nulawn. We wanted to "re"model (new install) our backyard (about 1,500 sq ft) with a desert landscape, low water usage, and add some character to the back porch. When Brett from Nulawn came over to give us a quote, he listened to our ideas and asked how we wanted to utilize the porch and yard. He brainstormed with us a few design ideas to match our goals. And Brett even had a few samples of pavers and travertine in his truck for the back porch. He was able to find an exact match the rocks that we had in the front yard for a seemless look. We had a couple specific plants that we wanted but were not sure on the rest, so he offered to meet us at the nursery and walk with us while we looked, discussed and decided. Brett was very patient and gave some wonderful suggestions on the plant selection. The installation itself was also very smooth. The Nulawn crew arrived on time and worked throughout the day to get it completed on time. When it was all finished, they cleaned up the area very well and Brett gave us a walk through. He gave us suggestions on watering the plants for the first summer while they get established etc. and even walked me through how to program our existing drip system control unit.
