What a scam. I Had to call Home Depot to send out one of their contractors to repair my roof, they put flashing boot and sealer around one of their boots (pipes) coming out of of the roof. It's a simple fix that these guys missed. Stay away from these guys, save your money and go w/ someone else. I would recommend talking w/ your local Home Depot or Lowe's to recommend someone. When we encountered a problem with our roof two months after installation (for which he was NOT at fault) he took responsibility for the issue and went above and beyond to find a solution. This letter directly pertains to the review I left here on Yelp about Mr. Bevilacqua's company. In this letter, it states "It recently came to my client's attention that a false, misleading post that you placed on "Yelp" is having a negative impact on my client's business and is harming is well-earned reputation. This letter is your opportunity to remove the post immediately and avoid litigation pertaining to your false inflammatory allegations about my client." The letter goes on to state that every point I made is false and unjustified. It states that we agreed with Mr. Bevilacqua to have a brand of shingles other than Certainteed Landmark shingles installed on our roof yet we still have the work proposal that Mr. Bevilacqua provided that stated he will use Certainteed Landmark shingles. They also state that the shingles that Mr. Bevilacqua used were of the same quality of the Certainteed Landmark shingles, however with a simple comparison, anyone can see that the shingles Mr. Bevilacqua used were only half the thickness of the Certainteed Landmark shingles so obviously they were not of the same quality.They also state that Mr. Bevilacqua "addressed all concerns of the minor leaks that can occur when a roof is replaced and the decking for the roof is tongue and grove decking". The roof that was installed prior to the one Mr. Bevilacqua installed lasted decades. After the debacle with the roof Mr. Bevilacqua installed, we had a different company install new shingles. This new roof has lasted about 4 years and counting without one single issue. The company that installed the new roof also pointed out many of the reasons that the roof Mr. Bevilacqua installed failed and they were all due to issues caused by Mr. Bevilacqua and his company and could have been easily avoided had the correct materials been used for the installation of the shingles. The letter goes further on with more and more false statements and claims. Mr. Baldassari concludes in the letter "I ask you to carefully consider the demand of this letter that the false and defamatory Yelp review you have posted be removed immediately and that you provide written confirmation that it has been removed with ten (10) days of the day that you receive this letter. Please provide the written confirmation to my office." Well, Mr. Baldssari and Mr. Bevilacqua, here is your written confirmation but I don't believe it's the one you're looking for with your threats and poor attempts at distorting the truth. This review is NOT being removed. The bottom line is, I am well aware of my legal rights in the state of Pennsylvania including those that are provided by Pennsylvania's anti SLAPP laws. I also have all documents to back everything I stated in my review, I have photos of the roof without shingles that show that the wood is in outstanding condition except where the spots were where Mr. Bevilacqua poorly shingled and kept blaming it on "nails popping" and I have full documentation of the current roof that is installed that also points out the issues that Mr. Bevilacqua had caused. I have decided to post this update to this review with both the intention of further letting Mr. Bevilacqua's prospective clients know what he has attempted to do to me and my family over the years and to also let Mr. Bevilacqua know, because I know he and his attorney will read this, that if he continues to harass me and my family and make false claims and threats, I will proceed to bring this situation to the attention of the media and I will also be filing suit and charges against him.
