The food here is amazing. We decided to share a platter that included some meats, cheeses and accompaniments. So good! Squacquerone might be my new favorite cheese and I need to know how to get my hands on it more often. I'm not a huge fan of fat (it's a texture thing) but the lard pesto was also something I need in my life. Every single item we ordered was fabulous and I could have seen myself eating here every day. We sat outside because it was a gorgeous day. We were there first but let me tell you, the place filled up fast so be ready to wait. The small/cozy dining area was full and a second section was closed for renovations. Open spots outside so the weather was perfect for an Al fresco lunch. Our server (Dida) was very helpful and bright is some English menus. Pasta is handmade in-house. Based on recommendation, we started with a choice of cheeses. Squacquerone (local soft cheese), Caprino (my favorite and resembles Goat cheese), Pecorino, and Parmigiana Reggiano. Paired it with a Red wine-Fermavento (Sangiovese) For main, it was difficult to chose as it all looked so good. Opted for the Papardelle with Wild Boar Ragu given it was a seasonal sauce. Lighter sauce with the Boar giving it a bit of richness. Enjoyed this one. That said, Tagliatelle with tomato and braised onion stole the show. It's always the simple pasta dishes that are the best and this one is no exception! We had to wrap up and head to the airport although we wanted to continue with coffee and dessert. The owner has an attention to details and very sociable. Everyone at the table enjoyed their dishes. I will say that clam soup was more like sautéed clams and less like soup. I recommend the spaghetti with clams, flavourful and hearty. The pistachio stuffed squid was amazing. It had a little spice and a ton of yum. Others dishes were enjoyed as well as the wine. We had a tasting menu fir lunch at 50 euro each. Can come with wine pairing but instead chose a local Lambrusco which is the local red with a little fizz to it. Dry and yummy on an afternoon. The tasting menu was wonderful with a tomato, potato, eggplant creamy bisque, a soft egg with pancetta, a tagliatelle with rabbit, pork ribs, and a tasty mini local cake from a historic baker with marscapone on it. So good! The full menu had everything. Fish, meats, delish!!! Highly recommended!!!
