She took my payment for a maternity photoshoot, then effectively ignored all of my requests to book a date for the shoot due to personal issues she was having in her life, all I got were excuses from her. I was not advised of these issues, or the holidays she was taking before my payment was made. I gave her benefit of the doubt time and time again until I was so fed up with being ignored that I had to ask for a refund multiple times, before opening up a dispute with Visa for the payment. She has no business sense, she believes that her personal issues trump a business relationship that she decided to enter into (she should have put her business on a temporary hiatus if the personal issues she regaled me with were true, it's irresponsible otherwise). She takes advantage of the situation by not booking you in (rendering you unable to book time off work, arrange for other services on the same day, etc.) I wasted over a month of my third trimester trying to book in with this woman, time that could have been spent looking for another photographer if she had just been open and honest about her personal limitations. I had so much trouble trying to find someone else to book a shoot with due to time constraints once I filed the suit with Visa and received my money back, causing me to need to shoot in the winter, MUCH later in my pregnancy than I wanted to. Also, during the time in which all this was happening, Erika has been rallying others to flood her Google reviews with glowing recommendations to push the bad reviews down, and running sponsored Instagram posts looking for business. HOW ABOUT YOU TREAT PAYING CUSTOMERS WITH THE RESPECT THEY DESERVE, ERIKA? I hope anyone looking to book with her looks at those bad reviews because I believe EVERY word these other women have said - because she pulled some of the same stuff with me. Erika is awful to work with, do not waste your money on her because she is cheap, do yourself a favour and get a reputable photographer. And maybe these good reviews are true, but not knowing if you are getting the good photographer or the awful one is a chance I would not recommend taking.

She has evolved since, still home based for indoor sessions, but she does outdoors sessions as well. I bought a year package for my baby which included maternity, newborn and mini sessions at 3, 6 and 9 months. (end 2017-2018) She was good to her package, gave me everything that was listed in the package and in good time. Her son has health problems, so sometimes there was a little bit of a delay, but you have to empathetic and put yourself in her situation. I had no issues working with Erika, she is very patient with the little ones, has lots of props and good ideas. She even has maternity dresses so you don't have to rack your brain to find something nice to wear (or buy something for a one time use). She touches up the pictures if you want, photoshop. She has a good positive energy and is always excited to see how the babies grow up.

They are mainly photos of peoples back of their heads, people feet, random things. Most photos are off-center, unedited, and most were blurry. We could not find one nice photo out of 100. This is so heartbreaking because its not like an annual even like a birthday party where were can "try again next year". This was a once in a life time moment that will never come again. My husband and my family and I are in disbelief and are so very heartbroken. We let the owner (paul) know who has stopped replying. There has been no solution, no refund, not even an apology. I will start by saying that Amanda is very friendly and outgoing, and that we had no problems in studio except that we did not have a choice about colours or backgrounds for the Newborn Package 2. Also, we were told that our package did not cover certain sets, so I just went along with what she said because she's the "professional". When we left, I forgot to ask about the turn around time so I sent her a FB message 5 days later (that was our means of communication previously) because my mom asked me to check; my mom was very excited to see photos of her first grandchild. I was sure to say that I did not expect the photos right away, I just wanted to know the timeline. I did not receive a response so 10 days after the last message (15 days after the shoot) I sent another message just asking about the timeline...still not expecting to receive the photos. She did not respond to us, instead 2 days later I received the photos and she did not touch up anything that she said she would. My poor beautiful baby had peeling skin and redness. I do not like to give bad reviews and looking back at the photos, it makes me so sad that Amanda did not try to provide a finished product. I thought that I was choosing a good package based on the number of photos and time in studio, I did not think that it would affect the quality of the work that I would receive. I waited for awhile before commenting, thinking that I was being too picky, but even now, almost nine months later, I am so sad that we weren't able to capture our newborn properly. I thought that if I booked a follow up session, then I could discuss my concerns in person and maybe she would fix her work. We booked on the 26 Sept for a 19 Nov session. On the 27 Oct, she advised me that she doesn't do follow up session on those days. Suffice to say, I would highly recommend going elsewhere. UPDATE: Since posting the above review, I reached out to discuss my displeasure because I hate giving negative reviews. She threatened legal action if I do not remove my review and insulted the looks of my baby. STAY AWAY she is very unstable. I could not believe the comments made. I should not have reached out to try and resolve the situation as you cannot rationalize with an irrational person.
