I love to just browse in here, it's only small and quite popular so it can get cramped but everythings really well organised and displayed so you can look with ease. I bought a few scarves for christmas last year from Annabel's the material is lovely and they've kept in great condition. Great shop with lots of pretty things! Really low prices too.

The shop sells clothing, shoes, soft furnishings, homewear, gifts, etc. The clothing is, in my opinion at least, aimed more at the older shopper and I would expect most people without a bus pass to come away a bit disappointed. A couple of negatives as well. Firstly the building is basically a barn and really needs redecorating inside. It looks shabby which creates a poor impression overall. Secondly the reductions aren't as generous as you would expect in an outlet shop. For example the last time I visited I found some Ben Sherman T-shirts which had been reduced from £29.99 to £24.99, a saving of only £5. Overall it's OK for the older shopper but not great.

Since then it's had a makeover and having visited for the first time in years I can now report it's a very clean and modern looking buildings selling clothes for the over sixties. Actually there were one or two small sections of clothing for younger people, brands like Brave Soul and Lambretta, but only very limited ranges. And there didn't appear to anything for kids at all which disappointed my eight year old daughter.

Items stocked include dresses, t-shirts, basics, jeans, lingerie, nightwear, cosmetics, accessories and much more. The items are all quite fashionable but do not have the cheap appearance of the stock from some of the other less expensive shops. The clothing is quite inexpensive and there are often multibuy offers on items such as vest tops and basic tshirt tops. There is usually a good range of sizes on the rails and stock up to a size 22-24 which is better than many high street stores. The staff are friendly and helpful and work hard to keep the store clean and tidy. Things can get a bit cluttered when a sale is on but this is to be expected. This is a great shop for buying something for work or clothes for a holiday.

I have recently found Strawberry to be the perfect place to find really cute kids outfits. They have designer kids clothes mainly for children rather than babies, although there is the line Roberto Cavalli Baby, which are really cute. There is a sale on this line at the moment. It's not cheap because they are designer and I tend to look at their sale items to get good quality clothes but at that slightly cheaper price. They have an interesting scheme where you can pay off the clothes that you buy over a four week period, and I think this is to accommodate for the slightly higher prices.

You might pay more than you would at most charity shops or even Primark for some of the items, but you will still be getting great deals on some really nice clothes. I only recently discovered that Sue Ryder was a national charitable organisation, I had thought, perhaps due to the quaintness of this store, that this was a locally based charity. Still, it's funded and run by locals. The staff are quite possibly the nicest I have ever encountered, nothing is too much trouble and they're always so, so grateful, to the point that I am shamefaced for just buying a copy of Wham! for a quid as a joke for a friend. I usually visit charity shops for books: university texts and leisure reads, and Sue's has never really been of use, I don't think books is it's forte, but there's always lots of kids toys (no not for me) and beautiful doll's houses (yes, for me) and if you look through there's often some designer clothes mixed in. I once picked up a stunning hat for the races in here: very Audrey Hepburn!

Plus, the lady gave me a good deal when I bought four items. :) You'll find a good variety of clothing, books, videos and DVD's, knickknacks, dishes, etc. I found an adorable miniature china dog--an unusual little white one, not your typical granny-knickknack--that I think one of my sisters will love. I also found a row of little hedgehogs that were all different, but sold together. Perfect for another of my sisters who collects hedgies. The ladies here are very friendly, chatty, and entertaining. It's one of my favourite charity shops so far, and I highly recommend it.

Remar UK is a charity that I know little about and have never really heard of before so when I…read morestumbled across one of their stores I thought it might be a good idea to give them a bit of a mention and hopefully draw some attention. Their store in Aigburth is fairly standard as far as charity shops go but can throw up some real surprises with some furniture on sale being brand new and of a high quality. The staff here work hard for the cause and their enthusiasm and friendliness is infectious and I could not have been more impressed with their attitude. On the whole the point here is not about how good the business is although it is a well run one, the point is that these people are working for a good cause and the people of Liverpool should support it.

They sell bedroom furniture, dining tables, chairs, sofa's, beds, shelving, occasional tables and garden furniture. They have a massive range of styles from your basic MFI type furniture to the more expensive and classy solid wood items. The staff are very friendly and helpful. They greet you as you walk in and are happy to help and direct you to the sort of item you want. They don't pressure you but give good advice and information about the furniture they sell. If you do not need help they are happy to leave you to browse at your leisure. There is a small area of the shop which is like your usual charity shop with books, records, ornaments, glassware toys and shoes. It's a bit untidy and looks like a jumble sale in this area, but it's worth a rummage.
