Unfortunately, my experience has been the opposite. I was charged approximately $300 for what amounted to a very brief appointment -- roughly ten minutes -- with a nurse practitioner. After that appointment, communication became extremely inconsistent. I repeatedly attempted to reach out and rarely received responses. At one point, my account was deactivated without clear explanation, yet I continued receiving automated messages encouraging me to make appointments. Most concerning, my card was recently charged approximately $240 when my account was apparently reactivated, despite the fact that I never intended to re-enroll or authorize that charge. I had to request a refund for a payment I did not knowingly agree to. As a mature woman simply seeking straightforward medical support and continuity of care, this experience has felt impersonal, confusing, and financially exploitative. Rather than feeling cared for by a healthcare provider, I felt processed through an automated system focused more on billing and subscriptions than actual patient support. I understand that telehealth platforms operate differently from traditional practices, but basic communication, transparency, and informed billing authorization should still be standard. Unfortunately, my experience left me feeling frustrated and unsupported.

One of my favorite things about her is that in addition to being highly supportive when you need it, she's not afraid to challenge you in ways that lead to growth. She wants you to move forward and succeed in what you've set out to do. Before I started seeing her, one of my biggest concerns was that I didn't want to spend a long time talking to someone about the same things over and over without any tangible results. Dr. Ben-Ami knows how to address immediate concerns in a timely manner, but also knows how to play to your strengths and build a longer term plan with you. For these reasons, I believe she would be helpful to anyone, whether they're looking for short term relief or a longer term solution focused on personal development.

Williamsburg Therapy Group is there for you when you need them. After madly searching for a place…read morethat would see me short-notice during a time of crisis, I came across Williamsburg Therapy Group and saw all the glowing reviews. I've had hellish experiences with therapists and psychiatrists in the past, through my Medicaid managed insurance, so I wanted to make sure I was choosing a place that would offer compassionate and effective care. Making an appointment was quick and easy. Gray, who schedules the appointments, is kind and efficient. He was able to get me in the next day for psychology and psychiatry appointments. First off, the offices are brand new, modern, clean, and gorgeous. It's a very welcoming and bright environment which lends to a feeling of calm. I know it might sound small, but you wouldn't believe some of the mental healthcare offices I've seen (dusty, dark, dirty, is that a cat?!). They have filtered water and green tea (my fave) in the lobby area, which is a nice touch, because I talk a LOT. Momma needs her juice. Dr. Roy is an intelligent, understanding, and accomplished psychiatrist who takes his time getting to know you. He really listens, thoroughly explains any questions you may have, and has genuine concern for your well-being. He will prescribe you the necessary medications, that work with your body and lifestyle, and give you in-depth instructions on how they should be taken. He makes you feel safe and welcome, and offers check-ins via text or phone in between appointments, if you have any questions or concerns. Dr. Olivia Sussman is my therapist and she's basically an angel. I've never met a psychologist more kindhearted and empathetic. Dr. S has gone above and beyond to help me when I'm in crisis, and worked with me when my finances suffered, to create a treatment plan that is cost-effective for me without sacrificing the care I need. She's trustworthy, patient, and effective--I truly believe she's invested in my mental health journey. If you want a doctor who will fight for you, even when you feel you can't fight for yourself, she's the doctor to choose. TL;DR: If you want compassionate and prompt care from experienced doctors in a relaxing setting, Williamsburg Therapy Group is for you.

Sil saved me. Well, she taught me to save myself…read more When I first came to Sil (virtually during COVID), I was an aimless kid alone in a new city with his own potent cocktail of issues. To name a few: the end of a relationship from which I wasn't getting closure; unhealed and unconfronted issues stemming from childhood; crippling self-hate. All were potent shadows that masked and distorted my reflection with every glance I stole from the mirror. Before our first session together, I committed to myself that I would take therapy seriously, and Sil led me through a journey that forever altered my relationship with myself, and led to changing my relationship with everyone else in my life for the better. With the questions she asked, the exercises she coached me through, and her words of encouragement: Sil was the impetus for me to build myself up and rise to the impossible challenge of looking my most hateful reflection in the eye and saying, "I am worthy of being here, and you will never convince me that I'm unequal to the task of being. Not only is she extremely honest and genuine in her feedback, she also provided me with tangible skills and learnings that I could walk away with and work on each consecutive week. I kept a little notebook of helpful phrases and quotes that she introduced me to, and much of it still resonates with me every day. Sil helped me to overcome a lot of obstacles I thought I had in life, simply by helping me to take a step back and look at the problem from a slightly different perspective. There was a phrase that stuck with me towards the end of my sessions, when I had asked why I suddenly felt a lot better. She said that this is the process of planting seeds and later on feeling grateful and rewarded and this could not be more true! She gave me advice that helps in the long term to creating lasting impacts on my character. I feel SO grateful and rewarded for her! Beyond what she has done for me, we've also had great conversations about broader topics, specifically therapy for asian americans- I appreciate everything she is doing not just for me, but for an entire community.
