This is how and why I found myself in front of my sisters apartment building, with my suitcase, the temperature dropping, and no idea what to do next. The call had come a few days prior and I found myself speaking to an officer of the 112th Precinct. Unable to even get into the building, and knowing it had been sealed by the police, I headed to the agreeable close station. There the desk Sargent on duty and civilian present (I assume a community service officer) were sympathetic and were able to help me understand what I needed to do to get a court order to enter to get clothing for my sister and go from there. It was a bit of relief to go from unsure to having a mission that I needed to accomplish. 3 days later I was back. This time it was to wait for an officer (or two) to escort me and supervise my time int he apartment) which would be under seal till the court declared me an administrator. They again were friendly, professional, and sympathetic. I would have to wait. Unsaid was that this was not a high priority. So I waited. It took many hours, but they were able to free up 2 officers to head over with me. Again the officers who escorted me were friendly and professional. It was appreciated in this trying time.

I went back 1 week later and the officer told me fill up some papers. never give me a copy. wen back to pick a report and give me a clean slip to call back for the complaint report. calling several time and no body answer. finally got someone and she pass me the report number. Now, the slip has no dates, address or type of crime writing. I write de complaint number. And that's is all? . I request a copy of my complaint, she told me they don't give it!

I'm more post-cinct than pre-cinct…read more I see all the bad reviews for this precinct and I sympathize, but I have to review this place based on my personal experience of the cops here, and they're super chill and didn't mind me sleeping right in front of their station where I felt kind of safe for the whole night, when I didn't have anywhere else to sleep in New York. So for that I thank them. It wasn't New York's finest sleep, but it worked. And I know they knew I was out there because they all came to say hi to me in the morning.

It escalated and he pushed the women into a parked car. They continued to argue with pushes and hitting. I waited until 11:50, over 40 mins and no cops responded. The women ended leaving and walked up 64th street towards grand Ave. This is disgraceful and disgusting. She could have been killed !!! In addition, I got a call from NYPD at 1:55am. Almost 4 hours later.

This man knew where I was, named my boss and family members, and said he was driving to my office to *get me* NINE calls to 911, 2 calls to the 102nd, and a *Hail Mary* call to the 106th (next closest precinct, no one responded during the 5 hour period I waited Once I was able to safely leave my office (I work alone at a construction office and had to wait for the laborers to return), I went to the precinct to find an empty *prisoner room* and about 7 or 8 police just hanging out eating sandwiches. After 5 minutes of just sitting staring at them, someone finally noticed me. I congratulated them on doing absolutely nothing and left. This is supposed to be the gold standard of law enforcement. Great job NYPD!!
