On 3/3/2026 at 11:12pm. I called 911 for a domestic violence occurrence on Borden Ave and 64th street. A man and women were arguing in the sidewalk. It escalated and he pushed the women into a parked car. They continued to argue with pushes and hitting. I waited until 11:50, over 40 mins and no cops responded. The women ended leaving and walked up 64th street towards grand Ave. This is disgraceful and disgusting. She could have been killed !!! In addition, I got a call from NYPD at 1:55am. I'm more post-cinct than pre-cinct. I see all the bad reviews for this precinct and I sympathize, but I have to review this place based on my personal experience of the cops here, and they're super chill and didn't mind me sleeping right in front of their station where I felt kind of safe for the whole night, when I didn't have anywhere else to sleep in New York. One star is too many for this useless department. I would give it minus 5 if it were an option. Two nights ago, my girlfriend was in her car near her apartment, talking to me on the phone, when she told me 5 or 6 guys were approaching her vehicle, and to call 911. Between me, her, and another friend calling 911, and the precinct itself, there was no help at all. The men were banging on her car doors, trying to open them, and yelling at her to get out. She laid on her horn and fortunately they scattered into the woods; however no police ever showed up. When I tried calling the precinct itself, the officer hung up on me, saying there's nothing he can do. Being scared that they may come back, and after waiting 45 minutes for the police, who never showed up, she drove some blocks away and ended up staying in her vehicle for the remainder of the night. read more

I had an amazing experience today. I tracked my mom's lost phone to a residence in Maspeth and when they would not return it unless I gave them $50, I called 911. Then, I offered them $20 but, they refused the offer and attempted to leave. That is when two officers showed up and explained how this was extortion and they could be in big trouble so, they returned the phone. My car was stolen on the 28th of December of last year I called 911 and the police came from this precinct unfortunately I couldn't choose we're my report would end up. They don't help at all they don't investigate the wares out of my car I provided the detective a camera speeding ticket that was taken January 1st so they could investigate this thief's that are probably out there stealing cars. With this treatment from this detective I won't say his name I have lost respect for the NYPD serve the community year right they get paid from our taxes and they don't even help you or guide you thru this situation of having your get stolen. And is been happening lately that a lot of Honda CRVS are being stolen in the city and they are sold in the Bronx because that's were all the mafia happens we're they change bins of stolen cars I even provided them a Facebook market place advertisement of a car similar to mine with the same amount of miles even the body scratches and they don't even do anything to investigate the persons that we're selling the vehicle for less then 25K$ a 2022 honda CRV with 5K miles being sold at that price something is really weird about and the police dint do anything is like they know who is the group that are doing this things and they just protect them I would be surprised if this precinct is corrupted. anytime you call them they don't show up. I heard a man beating a woman in a house on myrtle avenue (very busy area) she was screaming so loud, it sounded like she was being murdered. I call the police and because the 104 is notorious for not showing up my husband and I decide to stay to make sure they show up. we were walking our dog anyway so we waited. 30 mins go by, I call again. I tell them AGAIN it sounds like she's being murdered and no one has showed up. the woman on the phone says theyve gotten other calls and the police should be there shortly. we wait another hour. They finally show up but they don't even stop or get out of the car they just drive at normal speed. the screaming at this point has paused but if they waited for just a minute they would have heard it. I call AGAIN and tell them I saw cops drive by and they didn't even investigate or stop to hear anything and they say again they're going to send cops out. we wait another 10 mins and nothing. we decide to go home because it was pretty late. I get a call at 2-3am asking if the cops ever showed up. I tell her no. Don't get me wrong, I've met good cops in the 104 but they are few and far between. Most of them are arrogant. I don't doubt they were bullied in high school and this is their revenge. I even saw one rear end someone at a red light on freshpond! He gets out and is rude to the person he hit! The 104 Police Precinct headed up currently by D.I. Keith Green is a precinct that is undermanned covering a large area. Response times are slow and many petty crimes go unrecognized. One of these crimes is graffitti. The 104 even has a graffitti task force designated into uncovering the 'artists' and apprehending them. With new shopping centers and more stores and places to go, more and more people are bussing in or taking the trains, thus bringing thugs and criminals too. While the 104 continues to be understaffed, the officers for the MOST PART are willing to do their job and continue serving the community. read more

For example I called them for a car blocking my driveway 6 times and they never showed up but when I walked to the corner to see if one was passing by I saw one leaving DD. They have so much time to get donuts but who cares about the guy who lost a days pay cause a car was blocking his driveway! ! I had a lot of respect for them at one time but now I don't! ! They are horrible here. Because it's your 1st day as "detective" you have to show off. This is what this precinct represents: rude unprofessional. If you don't give them a problem or probable cause for an arrest or search they still "take you in" and go through your car without permission. When asked why was I stopped? Them: You ran a red light Me: No I didn't. Them: Oh, it's because of your vehicle. Me: Which one is it? Them: Why are you questioning us? We are the ones asking questions. i live in maspeth i have been getting harrassed and the cops are biased against me because the people harassing me are friends with the sergeant. they said to another cop in front of me. the cops are not helpful my life was put in danger my gas was taken out i got absolutely no help. i also received calls to my personal cellphone "from a cop" telling me to rush and get my belongings when i had a court order to take the time i needed which shall have been at least half an hour but i was given 12 minutes by the cops. i want to make a formal complaint but i don't know where to do it. this is the worst precinct in new york read more

When officers from this precinct arrived at my residence today responding to a vandalism call by my landlord (a window mysteriously shattered somehow around 11am), they banged on the door shouting to open it. When my wife's cousin answered, who is in town from Columbia and doesn't speak much English, they demanded he speak English claiming, "this is America so learn to talk". He actually insulted a human being who lives in another country ( who owns a Fortune 500 company that aligns volunteers with not for profit agencies around the world you ignorant pig) for not speaking his language. By definition, according to websters dictionary, this beat cop is "ignorant" by all forms of the English word. Literally, he defines what ignorant is. You could quite literally use this scenario and use it in the dictionary as an example of how to use the word ignorant. Don't get into a car accident in their jurisdiction, they can't write police reports properly, your statement may be fabricated and they will not change it because obviously they don't make mistakes. I hoped the precinct would help me find the person who stole my property , I even gave them info on person who stole my stuff , instead I was being treated as a suspect , even threaten to be arrested , accused for possibility of not having the stolen item and making up the claim that I was robbed. Behind my back I was called stupid and cops talked about my case with sarcasm. I had to repeat what happened to me over and over again to 5 officers at the station, and that didn't look or feel like an interview , it was more like interrogation. I don't know what's worse, having my property stolen or being treated like a suspect not a victim by everyone at pct 104. I truly regret ever contacting 104 and seeking its help. This precinct is awful at helping people. This entire staff of pigs has been giving me the run around for a fucking police report for a hit and run to my vehicle for about a week now. On numerous occasions that they keep advising me to call 911 to file a report, instead of helping me right then and there. Each time I have called 911, not only have I waited each time for 24+ hours for these patrol cars to mosey on over to me, (I get my grievance isn't an emergency, hence why I called the precinct directly initially but really, 24+ hours later?) but each time they refuse to write me a police report. One cop even told me that he saw me in the precinct complaining while he was there having leisure conversations with what seemed like the entire fucking morning shift and then proceeds to attend to my call 6 hours later, even though I called 911 directly after I left the precinct and the only reason they came 6 hours later instead of a day later was because I called the precinct every 30 mins to track that my call was being handled. *******If you want them to come keep calling the precinct about your initial 911 call until they get sick of you and send someone, (who's not stuffing their pig face with donuts) just to shut you up, BTW they will probably not help resolve your grievance either way...******** read more

My child and his friend was sitting in the car minding there business when these 2 unprofessional, ignorant, incompetent idiots ask them for license and registration for no reason. They gave them license registration back and but kept there SBA cards . When my son was waving his hands to tell them they did not give it back he act like he did not see him. Great service but I have to say the neighborhood is changing dramatically. The crap has moved into the neighborhood. I did not know that we have a ghetto middle village did not ever venture on the other side of metropolitan avenue. I thought I was in Brooklyn!. There was a fight at a bar one guy had a knife it was a bar with a hall for party's. There wAs a children's party. We called they came 30min later 7 cars I told them I called half hour ago they wanted to arrest me because I told them they were late. They are really the most disgusting group of miserable people. Have your tried to call their number? You would think that they are busy doing something that they can not answer your call. WRONG!!! I found out why when I went in person to the police station after I tried to call for about 40 minutes. They simply silent the ring and they ignore all the calls. I was in the police station and when I tried to call, that is what happened. When I pointed out that it is not ringing. They were initially bit embarrassed and then all the police officers there treated me like a fool and all said it is ringing and they all heard it, when the fact was there was no sound at all. I tried to call them again few other times in the day and it was the same result. NO ONE TAKES CALL in this place. So far, I do not know much that they can help but I would like to share what they cannot help from my personal experience. Theft or burglary: there was two burglars came into my house on a Saturday few years ago and these burglars took over a thousand dollars worth of staff from my house. Our security camera caught the thieves in the tape. We gave all the information to the police station and it was not solved. I gave a two stars because the officer who took our case warned me different ways that bugler could come into our house. I have been conscious of locking all possible accesses from then on. I do appreciate those nice warnings. Since I heard nothing from the police station afterwards, I started talking to my neighbors trying to get some clues, especially those families who has a security camera. Surprisingly I found out that there are actually lots of burglars in the neighborhood. There are 3 families who had burglary just on my block and none of these cases were solved. I always thought my neighborhood is a very safe place and I was shocked to learn that so many burglaries. Some home even got broken in repeatedly. Illegal parking: the snow was frozen hard as stone. My car parked right before the cross walk on the street and I cleared out all the snow from the back to make sure I can get out next day for work, only found out a car illegally parked right on the cross walk blocked my way out. It is impossible to dig my car out in time for work. I called the police station and they did nothing to help. I talked to the officers who gave out ticket and it turned out that it has NYPD permit on it. Of course no ticket officers will give a ticket. This car was there since 5:45am and did not move until 6:30pm on a Friday and very likely it was there overnight since Thursday. This car is a black lexus from extreme leasing, with a broken left rear mirror with the license plate "EMF-7642". So if it is a police owned car, it seems more likely this police officer is abusing his power and I am very disappointed to see nothing was done after I reported. If this car used a fake placard, which seems very likely, I am still disappointed that our police officers did not act quickly to catch this criminal. read more

As of April 28, 2016, I can't complain about the 104th precinct. I've lived in Glendale, NY for over a year and the 104th precinct has been prompt to respond to my calls and concerns. There were three issues: landlord and tenant harassment, vehicle vandalism and racism in the Glendale community. I complained about violations existing in my apartment and my neighbors beside and below me decided to get involved by disrupting my sleep at night (by banging on the wall and ceiling) and peace during the day (by doing the same). I reported the incidents to the 104th precincts and they were prompt to respond. The neighbors on the same floor moved out quickly the ones below me are still there and refuse to answer the door when the cops arrive. I've compiled documentation in preparation for court. Did the vandalism or harassment? No. The vehicle damage is so minor that I was told to just fix my car. The problem is having to wash my car twice a week to clean off the yellow dust, which isn't pollen. I'm going to purchase a home with a garage and move out of this fucking racist community. NYPD did what they could with in city and state laws. All the other shit will be addressed in court. read more

I called several times for assistance regarding domestic violence, drugs and noise complaints. I was dismissed and essentially told to handle the situation on my own. Another police officer explains that my DV complaint is a non-emergency. On a separate occasion, I was informed that "no police officer is available to address my concerns and that [I] should reach out to them later." Following my conversation with an officer at the 104th precinct, I was inspired to get a gun license. I realize I am on my own in the event of an emergency, hence, it is pivotal for me to be prepared to protect myself and my family. read more
