Anyone traveling between Missoula and Idaho should NOT miss the down home style and service of O Aces. PJ and his lovely wife put on a spread that is simply amazing. It serves, by far, the best hamburger in the Northwest. Ya gotta try the O Aces!! Two, one-half pound premium beef patties, with a quarter pound slab of local ham between them, and 2 HUGE strips of hickory smoked bacon for garnish. Have it with a shot of Jack. There's a small, WELL maintaned casino and a lovely gift shop. Walk in, introduce yourself, and find out why people want to live in Montana. Simply amazing. We were told by locals that this place is great and to be sure to try the Chicken Fried Steak. We were not misled! Went for dinner on a Friday night and tried their Friday special; Fish and Chips as well as the CFS. Both were outstanding. We have enough for another meal. The fish was all you can eat; well there were 2 filets to start that had to be 10 ounces apiece! Who could ask for more? The steak almost covered the plate and I did not need a knife. Good selection of beer on tap as well as a full bar. Service was friendly and prompt. We'll have to return on Saturday for the prime rib. read more

Welp, I reckon if you're looking for a place to wet your mouth hole you've found yourself a keeper. They had burgers the size of my face. And that's no joke. My mammy struck me with a cast iron fryin' pan when I was a spriggen, leaving me with a face as wide as the Missouri and as tough as a bodark fence post. I couldn't finish. The flavor alone of the bacon burger cast me back to the time I first ate my grannie's strawberry short cake. Food so good it was like quarter horse kickin' ya in the pleasure sack of my brain bucket. And they pour a mighty fine sarsaparilla. Had a decor somewhere between hunting lodge and trailer park and right up my alley. But they still were a real casual place too. They don't even make you wear a bolo tie, which I appreciate in down-home lifestyle. Shoot, I'm sure to tie my cow pony round the post at the Old Oaces bar anytime I venture through the highway country and say hi to the fine and friendly men and women of their establishment. read more

This place has mostly basic fare. HOWEVER, I'm obsessed with their Samoa pie (best dessert ever) and their broasted chicken and the Rueben. If you're rolling down I90 in Montana and are hungry stop here. They also have a small casino and a well stocked bar. They have generous pours so be sure to have a designated driver. O Aces is my favorite place to visit just off I 90. Robin's breakfast Omelette is like no other! Also, the broasted Chicken is worth the drive. The friendly atmosphere there makes you feel like you never left home. We used to stop at the other local places on our way to the Hot Springs in Paradise MT, but, we have developed a real friendship at the O' Aces and just like "Cheers"... it's fun to go where everyone knows your name! They also hold other events during the year that are very fun to attend. Poker runs for ATV's and Snowmobiles as well as July 4th celebration. Live music on occasion with DJ Montana which is fun. Our experience with this place is very mixed. They have very short business hours so it is hard to find them open. We stopped three times before we found available for a meal. The food was OK, nothing special but the service was very slow. The gal working was trying to do it all and the place was busy on a Sunday afternoon. The owners were outside killing weeds, but made no attempt to help with the rush. We might try it again, but then again, we might not. read more
