Making an initial appointment on their website was easy, and it was scheduled right away. I've somehow gotten lucky parking in the tiny lot right outside. Getting examined, teeth cleaned, and x-rayed was super efficient. Every staff member I encountered was wonderful, and Dr. Bennett is a cool dude. Having grown up in a family of dentists, this office made me feel right at home, which for most people is probably weird to say about their dentist. After my exam Dr. Lee explained that I needed a deep clean and had cavities and that my insurance wouldnt cover all so I needed to choose. obvs choosing the deep cleaning first I was quoted a price and they set a next day appointment to get approval from my insurance before starting treatment, arriving to my next day appt I was told my insurance wouldn't cover all deep cleaning because of the type of insurance I had the deep clean was more expensive Then they told me yesterday. Then I was told Dr. Lee said well actually now apparently I didn't not need my whole mouth deep cleaned that we could just do what the insurance would cover. well that didn't make sense. so I paid out of pocket $225 and we moved forward with the cleaning. conveniently the day I get home from my appointment I get a letter in the mail from my insurance company, saying that they did not approve all quadrants because the office submitted my claim wrong after having a conference call with my insurance and the dental office they determined that they would resubmit for approval of my work. Today I got a letter in the mail saying that my insurance company approved all work done and I called the practice for a refund of what I paid out of pocket a week and a half ago and I was told that they haven't even build insurance yet so they were NOT gonna give me a refund because what I was approved on was just a preauth and that it's unlikely that they will actually approve all of the work that was done. Which literally does not make any sense at all and when I asked her, why would the insurance not pay for what they just said that they would approve and the office lady did not know which is coincidental because everything I asked her she just did not know, so not only is this place dirty, unorganized, it is also an insurance scam. The combination is hard. The shot to numb me was incredibly painful and the most compassionate young man grabbed my hand, told me I was doing great, and to squeeze his hand as tight as I needed. It's hard to be so vulnerable and to show how scared you are while trying to keep a brave face on. He recognized my pain and my fear and acted on it. He stood by me from the beginning of the process through completion. I never once felt alone and I always knew what was coming next. That compassion is so hard to find and he is one of the very best in his field. Thank you, Sean Baum. (I hope I spelled that correctly.) I called and left a voicemail on a Friday, describing symptoms and pain, hoping to get a call back Monday morning. That call never came, so I called Monday afternoon, again describing my symptoms and my concern. I was told I would be called right back. 2 hours later, 3:00pm I called again, asked to send a picture and was told the same thing. 2 hours later, is now 5:00pm and they close at 6:00pm. So I called again and my call was ignored. 5:30pm I call again and was ignored. Tuesday morning they open at 8:00am, and I have waited until 10:30am. Nobody has contacted me. I call and my call was ignored. Nobody at a dentist office seemed interested in a potential dental emergency. I had to go to another dentist, go through the new patient intake and I was told I have an infection and that it is an emergency. This office has violated my trust and I have no confidence in them. I'm very disappointed and hurt. Physically and emotionally. It's not worth feeling abused and literally being neglected.
