They were only going to be here for a little while, as they were taking the train back home at 2:30 pm, so I was REALLY struggling to get ready to meet them (it's really hard to get dressed quickly when you're in all of this pain ). Then I tried to get in my car and I realized my knee had gotten so swollen I couldn't get it to bend enough to do that. So then I was really freaked out. I have a wonderful private driver I use now and then when my car is in the shop or I have to go to the train station, and I called him but he was on an out-of-town pick-up and couldn't get to me quickly. So I tried three more people and was really frustrated that no one answered their phone. Not only did they provide great customer service they provided me with the car category I booked with no pressure of an upsell or all the added insurance. My auto dealership no longer provides rental cars due to some taking advantage of that service by trashing and total'ing the cars. Gee, thanks Hyundai customers. So here we are getting back to the car rental place they referred. Ok, getting a car and picking it up was a breeze. It helps to have all your info in order and an established relationship with this shop. Or so I thought. Ok, so since my car issues were covered by warranty so was my car rental fees. Love Hyundai's warranty. So that means I had to return the rental car since the dealership got my car fixed right away. So I'm on the freeway about 15minutes away from their shop and I know I'm cutting it close so I decide to call them to give them a heads up. The guy who answered was like, "Well we close at 5." Me: "I know this, that's why I'm calling. I drove over an hour to get here and I'm getting off the exit right now and I'm basically right around the corner." You know what he asks me? This guy says, "Ok well can you pull over and read me the card info?" Me all dumbfounded and shocked. "Well if you want me to pull over and do all that, you might as well wait me for so it would be easier to just swipe my card." Duh, right? He acquiesced. So since the auto dealership is going to pay for everything, I'm going to get a credit. I have to cover the taxes and some fees, but the dealership will cover the daily rental fee. This guy, not the manager, seemed all pushed out of shape. On a Tuesday? Really? I got my credit, but I was not happy on the inital suggesstion that I pull over off the freeway to give him my card info over the phone. Not concerned at all for my safety, all about money, money, and let's speed this up so I can end my shift type of vibe. I think this guy's customer service skills needs a refreshing and ya'll need to do better for a paying customer with excellent pay history. I'm just saying. See you some more on Yelp 2026, but at this place...I don't know, I just don't know. Time to share....Go.
