Famous for making uniquely beautiful pottery in the shapes of birds and bunnies, these pieces are truly one of a kind. Each piece is handmade on site. I have been gifted a trio of the birds and they really are very special. I will always be reminded of Jackson every time I look at them. The studio is open to the public to shop from 10am-5pm Monday-Friday and is open for limited hours on Saturday as well. The pieces range from approximately $30-$300+. The people that work there are very friendly and can help you if you have any questions. The entrance to the store is on a sort of hidden drive but there is a sign that says Wolfe Fine Art Studio, so keep your eyes peeled!

They have a huge variety of pottery pieces to choose from, including small figurines for kids, egg plates, bowls, mugs, coasters, ornaments, and plenty of other options. I've only done the pottery painting, but they also offer other art activities, including pottery wheels, canvas painting, and more. With the pottery painting, you choose your piece, paint it however you want, and leave it with them to be fired in the kiln. The turnaround time has always been pretty quick, no longer than a week in my experience. When you come back, you find your finished piece on the shelves with the other completed customer projects right by the front door. There are several cats that roam around the building while you're painting, which obviously fits the Fat Cat name and makes the experience unique. I've found the prices to be fair. It's a casual, creative place where you can easily spend a couple of hours. Definitely a fun option when you want something different to do! The staff is also helpful and will give you advice if you ask.

I would recommend this for anyone, as a solo day, a date, with a group of friends or with family. In addition, its a very COVID safe location to feel comfortable as you take in some art. It's a free museum, except for special exhibits, which is also a plus. This is street and lot parking in the vicinity so there shouldn't be much issues in that area. Great location for a solo outing or a date in my opinion.
