Truxedo Truck Bed Covers - UNGLUED!

REALTRUCK.COM POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE…read more Let me be clear. Truxedo (Gator tonneau covers) are the manufacturers of this cover WHICH is sold to a 3rd party Realtruck.com. I bought the SR1 Gator cover (2nd truck I bought it for) and after it was delivered I had come to find it was missing the installation parts. Well a few things here, if you buy from Realtruck.com and your missing parts they are not the manufacturers of the Gator cover so you then have to go thru the hassle of emailing Truxedo, they make the cover and gather a serial number off the part, find the invoice, and send it into Truxedo and they will then send the part. UPDATE: The issue with Truxedo has been resolved. Kris the customer service manager was a true professional and took care of my needs and overnighted my missing parts. Please close this complaint. I would truly do business again with Truxedo. Realtruck.com had done nothing to assist in this matter.

I've had a truxedo roll up top with the bars in it for well over 10 years, has been great, loved…read morethat it is a full warranty top. Serial number is not enough, the company expects you to possess the proof of purchase to honor the warranty. Top is now coming apart and I was told to buy another one! Really, this was frustrating, I really liked the top but I would recommend getting something else based upon the service and warranty issue. I take people and businesses at the word, break it and you are absolutely garbage in my book. Worksport Tops, I'd give them a try.

Subject: Discrepancy in Vehicle Features/Online Advertising…read moreDear Phil Spady, I am writing to again bring a significant discrepancy to your attention regarding the 2017 Prius listed on your website. The listing explicitly states the vehicle includes Heated front seats; Power driver seat; and other features of a prius level Four, however, I confirmed it is not equipped with these features. (The sticker in the glove box lists it as a Level Three) These were primary factors in my purchase. Please let me know how you intend to return the vehicle or if you have an identical model available that truly matches the advertised description. Regards, James Bell

Buying our vehicle here was an okay experience. The salesman was fine but it was the most rushed…read moreI've felt going through the process. They also quickly tried to sell different packages that we declined. It had also supposedly been detailed. Worse detail job I had seen. Dog hair everywhere in between seats etc and tons of broken glass was discovered in the spare tire tool compartment in the cargo area after we got home. Then we've had broken glass show up constantly ever since from what appears to be the back window being broke out at some point that was unbeknownst to us. Not impressed with the service department. We purchased our vehicle here and of course were heavily sold on the fact that their service department was amazing and that we needed to purchase the extended warranty. It was winter when we purchased the vehicle (don't normally use windows) - we noticed a while later that when we went to use the front door windows that they were extremely slow - when it was really cold the passenger one wouldn't roll up at all (it would roll down but not back up). So I took the vehicle to our local Ford dealer (we're a little over 2 hours from Yankton) - they were great - looked into it and contacted the warranty place, submitted video etc but unfortunately the warranty company (the great warranty we got sold) wouldn't cover it because they hadn't completely stopped working! Our local dealer DIDN'T CHARGE US ANYTHING to check the windows or for going back and forth with the warranty company. Fast forward a couple months - we were planning on being in Yankton for a week so I thought I would have the dealer where we bought the vehicle and the warranty look in to it. The vehicle also needed an oil change so I scheduled that also - including a tire rotation. Go to pick up the vehicle - get told the tech couldn't find anything wrong with the windows, get CHARGED $99 for that (which I'm sure was just him rolling them up and down a couple times!!), and my tires didn't get rotated. All it said was the tech didn't think they needed rotated. No phone call asking if we still wanted them rotated (which we would have)!

If I could give this place no stars I would. We bought a car, dealing with Adam, from them on…read moreSeptember 1st. He said the car was in perfect condition. The convertible top didn't leak etc..etc.. well on September 8th, just a WEEK later, the ball joint broke, the transmission fluid leaked all over the road, and we called them. They sent a parts guy to come help us since the car was in the middle of the road, completely not drive able and with the tire in the position it was we could not push it to the side. So then they told us they were sending a tow truck to tow it and fix it. Well we waited an hour for the tow truck, with the car still in the middle of the road (mind you, my boyfriend had to leave work to come help me with all of this) and called them to which they said they didn't have a tow truck drive to come (after telling us someone was on their way). Finally came and Adam swore the car was in perfect condition blah blah blah, and took it back to the shop. They said they replaced the whole front end pretty much. We got the car back, looked underneath and all they had done was weld the ball joint back together after telling us they were replacing both ball joints and replacing the axel. So then the car was telling us we had a door ajar and our dash was going crazy, mechanically so we decided we were going to take it to a shop to have them hook it up and test the mechanical's on the vehicle. We get in the car to go and it won't start. It's turning over, but not starting. So we try jumping to just to be sure. Still nothing, now the car isn't even turning over or making a sound. So we message Adam who then says he'll stop by to look at the car and fix the problem. Never shows. So we message Adam again and he doesn't respond to various messages for days WITH him seeing them until we tell him that we're going to contact his manager. He then goes off on us telling us to never 'threaten' him. No threats were involved. We asked for our money back and for the car to removed off our property. So he tells us he'll get the car that day. Well car was still in our driveway. So we message him again...and again...and again day after day asking when the car will be removed. So finally we give up on getting our money back. So we tell him to just take his car back and we don't want our money back. So guess what, he responds and comes and tows the car. I am less than unhappy with the situation. We had been rude to, borderline scammed, and we're down the money that we put on a car so that we could both get to work. So with our experience, I would strongly suggest not buying a car from Syd's unless you want a faulty car, your money stolen, and no response when having a question about the vehicle. Also when he picked the car up, he had absolutely nothing to say to us. There's been a complain filed with the better business bureau and I strongly hope this comes back on them.
