He started the job when he said he would and had two excellent workers (Alex & Fernando) who arrived every morning at 8am and many times stayed until past 6 pm. They completed the job on schedule and my wife, and I really like the end product. I highly recommend Lavid Construction, especially if Vinny is in charge of the project. We had bought a house 5 years back that was in in a bad state of repair. We had to get a lot of work done to make it habitable. For the first 2 years, we went through contractor after contractor whose work was shoddy to say the least. Finally 3 years back we found Vinnie first for a couple of minor jobs. Before long we were calling him for every project. By this time we had confidence in Vinnie's work and also on how easy honest and pleasant he is to deal with. Then we needed more space for storage, more living space and a home gym. We decided to do a major garage renovation project, that would convert the garage into a livable space. I wish I had pictures of the garage before so you could compare. We decided to givethe project to Vinnie without even considering a second option. He first finished the floor, the ceiling with recessed lighting and the closets that hide the furnace and closet that hides the whole house water filter. You can see the first pictures from 2023. Next came the most beautiful part of the project. He hand built and installed custom floor to ceiling closets with heavy duty sliding drawers. Each drawer can handle upto 250lbs. Each closet is unique in how it is arranged. From storing tools, to clothes (my wife's clothes) after she ran out of space in the walk in closet. Truthfully I have never seen anything like this in any house. It totally blows away anything I have ever seen. Now we look at quality, 2 years after we started using the closet not one item has gone out of alignment or needed to be readjusted in any way. Everything is exactly as he built it. May God bless Vinnie and his family, and I wish him every success in his endeavors. My wife now considers him to be the son we never had. She will not even consider any other contractor.

Easy to understand and appreciate. They expertly tackled a dry rot nightmare on the back of our house - a nightmare which we though had been remedied by another contractor years ago. Turns out that contractor made matter worse. Antone and crew were able to identify the sources of water intrusion - roof, gutter, a rotted window, wood siding, you name it. It took some time chasing down the dry rot, but the end result is that this side of the house looks as good as the time of original construction. The crew was punctual, neat and tidy, coordinated well with other trades, and they were fair in their pricing. All in all, a solid performance. I never felt being pushed into something as he listened patiently to all our requirements. After a few days he came back with the 3D designs for the space, which was very helpful to visualize.
