Example) Under EU law, a UK citizen can use their mobile minutes and data within Europe for no additional charge however EE state there must be a way for them to charge you extra if possible, although you don't need it. This means if you have a spend cap of £0 you must remove it or increase it to £5 to go abroad and use your phone, even if you won't be charged that. Within the past 2 years, I have been a customer at O2 and 3 Mobile who allow you to set a £0 spend cap and still use your phone. Inside, the store is spacious, they have measures in space to support social distancing and it is a decent, welcoming EE store overall. 4*

I went in and explained the situation honestly, that there was no problem with my cable but that I had misjudged the distance from my bed to the wall. They calmly took my cable and gave me a new one, longer, for no additional charge. Legends. They've also flogged my a Belkin wireless receiver for my old non-wireless laptop, which was cheaper than PC World and worked perfectly. What more can one say about a computer shop. They sell bits of computers, that work.

From the outside the store isn't much to look at, it's a little tired and drab and the window displays are unenthusiastic and as the saying goes 'nothing to write home about'. I thin the main thing that invited people in is the sheer lack of anywhere better to go as there is literally only a handful of shops here and it's always nice to try and 'go local' to the independant stores. Although access is fairly easy especially with a buggy it doesn't really improve once you enter. It looks just as drab on the inside and is uninspiring. The shop is a fairly decent size but the decor and lighting makes it feel smaller and the main thing that comes to mind is 'grey'. They carry a variety of electrical appliances but don't expect jazzy displays of the greatest and latest trends, however if you're just after a washing machine or cooker etc it does what it says on the time and sells electrics, in Breightmet. The staff are helpful and approachable and don't 'pounce' on you which several of the larger chain stores are guilty of and yet in all honesty, I personally would prefer to go to one of the chains and travel that bit further. If the place was updated I think it would attract a lot more business.

As such, both of the car audio shops have a multitude of flashing neon lights and signs to grab your attention. Manchester Car Audio stocks, well, car audio systems. But they also sell navigation and tracking systems, and video screens that fit in the back of headrests or on the ceiling of your car. This is one of my dreams. Honestly. The staff at Manchester Car Audio are young, friendly and attentive. They look like they would definitely know how to pimp your ride, if that's what you were going for. In fact, they've got lots of monstrous sub bass boxes (or whatever they're called) that look ideal for doing just that. Note, having one of these in your car would probably take up your entire boot. But it would be LOUD.

Pricing was competitive in most areas, but some essentials such as milk were a tad overpriced. Many of the items which were priced at a competitive rate, had to be as many of the branded items had prices on the label which is what some brands do to protect their pricing strategy. There are no parcel facilities here which is surprising but there are other choices for this around Warrington such as Royal Mail at WHSmith, DPD at Millets, myHermes at Great Outdoors and Collect+ at the Golden Square Information area. Useful store to have in Warrington if you don't fancy going to the larger ASDA supermarket nearby. 3*

They've got basically all the hardware and software you might need, anything from a new mouse to anti-virus software and Microsoft office (is it interesting that Microsoft Word automatically gives the work Microsoft a capital M, is it in the dictionary?). They also fix computers for a good price, and have never been unable to solve this issues either myself or my housemates have had with our computers, and as you well know, students are not exactly renowned for looking after their electronics.
