I went into the Manchester Arndale Samsung store and asked to purchase the blue Samsung galaxy s9 phone. In error the sales person sold me a black phone. He offered to put my current SIM into the new phone, which I accepted and he placed it back into the box when he was done. When I got home I opened the box and discovered the wrong phone had been sold to me. I called the store manager immediately to let him know the situation and asked whether I could change the phone for a blue one. He assured me this could be done. I returned to the store the following day. To my utter shock the store manager changed his mind, instead getting very defensive about the error made by his employee in store, making various untrue assertions about the events of the day before, and aggressively blaming me for not inspecting the box closely before purchase. This very much upset me. The phone cost a significant amount and I ended up being left with a phone I did not ask for. I attempted to phone Samsung's customer services line the next day but was left with the phone not being picked up for 45 minutes in the morning and 35 minutes in the afternoon before I had to hang up. I attempted to contact customer services by email however they have been most unhelpful and untrue presumptions surrounding the situation have continued to be asserted. Customer services have now decided to stop responding to my emails. I have genuinely never received worse customer service in my life. read more
