We launched in Feb of 2018 and our sales for our Waikiki locations have seen significant increase in the amount of customers and higher ticket sale per transaction. Advertising options in Hawaii and Waikiki especially is limited. They created custom signage to advertise to the Waikiki foot traffic on Kalakaua Ave. The ad if of our Dazzler Sundaes which are the highest ticket item on our menu.     Hello Dining Out Fans! We'll let me put it into perspective. Last on my comments I expressed how…read moreunfairly biased the Dining Out section of the Sunday paper was in The Honolulu Star Advertiser when it comes to promoting 90% Asian cuisine. So let's go over today's issue May 31, 2026: Page s 1-3: Sekiya (Asian) Page 4: Shabuzen (Asian) Pages 6-7: Jade Dynasty (Asian) Page 8 & 10: Asian Mix (Asian) Page 9 & 14: although an American restaurant featuring only Filipino foods (Asian) Page 15: Dahan Skewer (Asian)(Chinese Mongolian) (There are only 16 pages in dining Out. 5 pages either have an unrelated topic or non Asian restaurant that has been in the spotlight many times before. And all around these major ads are smaller ads of Rinka, Hangang Hawaii Kai, Kuru Kuru sushi, Genki Sushi, Ramen Ya, Fun Station, Sekiya's, Tanaka of Tokyo, Braised Pork Noodle Soup restaurant, Fuji Sushi, Khan Skewer, and of course Account Executive herself Rachel Yasunaga holding what to her open mouth in the picture? yes! a pair of Hashi (chopsticks with sushi) Again I ask is it called "Dining Out" or "Asian Dining Out"? How unfair that other restaurants don't even make it to the headlines where as the Asian communities get full support. I'm sorry are we biased? I think we are. You fully know that advertising helps bring in business and revenue but you seem to want to cater to your own cultural tastes. Is that how it is because I see how you lift up your own kind. Is that how it is? Have you been wronged in the past and now this is your way of getting back to the people who wronged you a long time ago and you are lashing out or did your parents instill in you a sense of cultural isolation. Because it's very prejudice of you not wanting to explore their multitude of non- Asian cuisines out there. Instead you're giving Asians 90% spread of the percentage instead of an even percentage covering of the multi-diverse cultural foods out there in Hawaii. If you need help reach out to me. If I was a bit insulting it's because for years you're biasedness has insulted a lot of businesses out there that deserve a leg up too.

I never liked having any sports events headed on the top of the front page, not everyone is a fan of sports...keep it in the Sports section. And rates keep going up & up, not worth it, next time it raises I'll cancel out. Hope someone at the paper is reading this.
