I called super early after being ill for far too long. While my PCP was super booked, the appointment line was able to get me in within just a few hours to see Dr. Patton, who is located in the same office. I'm usually hesitant to try any new doctors (I've had a lot of bad experiences), but I truly needed to be seen and took the chance. Dr. Patton is someone I would highly recommend for anyone. She is very intelligent, kind and listens to her patients. I completely trust in her and her ability to diagnose and treat. Her office is well-run and efficient compared to another major hospital system that always leaves me with a giant headache. And again, I can't tell you how much I appreciated being seen urgently within 2 hours of my phone call. That never happens anywhere, ever. Overall, I hope this review will help someone the next time they need an appointment at UH. I really believe that choosing a good doctor can make or break an entire experience with a hospital and I wish more people in Northeast Ohio reviewed their great doctors in the area. No parent who is worried about their baby should feel uncomfortable being there. They don't care about those babies. They care about the money from the insurance and it's more business. These new nurses, they will let the babies cry and do not change the diaper. They sit at the desk on their phones. They expect the babies to lay there like a dead fish or something like that. It's like high school if one nurse doesn't like you they all don't like. They don't care about the family needs or concerns. They only care about their agenda and what works for them and if you bring your concerns to them instead of listening, they talk at you and shut you down and gaslight you and make you feel like your concerns are un invalid. They sit around gossiping give you dirty looks and roll your eyes and they barely want to do any work. Akron Children's Hospital is such a terrible place. They all are fake. They will smile in your face and talk crap behind your back. The way they treat people should be illegal, especially those poor babies! The doctors and care team there are just terrible. But there is only a few good doctors and a few good nurses. God bless them.

University Hospitals Pediatricenter is part of an awesome network of pediatricians. They have…read moreoffices in Garfield Heights, Mayfield Heights, Bainbridge, Broadview Heights and Twinsburg. I use the Twinsburg location but what's great about this network is they are all connected and if you ever have an emergency and need a visit with the doctor you can go to any of their locations at anytime. When I was in the hospital after the birth of my son five different pediatricians stopped into visit and assess my newborn. Every single one of them was amazing. After taking my son home around his three week mark I was having some issues with fussiness and a rash. I called and they told me I could come in that day. I saw the doctor within an hour and a half of making the phone call. He spent over an hour with me in the office discussing any possible reason my infant could be fussy. How much he was eating, burping, diapering, anything just to make me feel comfortable. He really spent the time with me and that is what a new mother needs. I am very fortunate to have found pediatricenter for my son.

Upon arrival they told me only one parent would be allowed in at a time. This is information I was inquiring about because I had to call off work because of this appointment when I did not have too. The doctors here are great but the front desk staff are often rude and not helpful.
