It's fun and easy to reach/enjoy with family friendly opportunities for hiking, fishing, boating, swimming, grilling, camping (cabins available too) - very close to Hot Springs which has a lot of beauty from the National Park in downtown to the lookout tower atop the highest point in downtown - including the natural hot springs which makes this place famous for America's first off season professional baseball camps and the likes of gangsters and movie stars all mingled alongside the everyday persons enjoying the same or hanging out at the horse races. It's a cool place to visit and you'll have a super time at the park - with other states parks and lakes and rivers/hiking and nature all around!

Lake Catherine-- We absolutely love this lake!…read more Although, I felt like things were not labeled as they should have been during the hike of "Falls Creek Falls". There were marks on trees during the hike that were red, white and yellow, but I had no idea what those meant. Maybe this part of town is less touristy and more locals, because people had set up hammocks, and all of their things that they needed for the night/day around the waterfall after the hike. I spoke to a sweet man and woman on a golf cart who seemed to work there, as they were going around and changing papers for the reservations for there were trailers in the parking lot, and they advised us on where to go and park. They did advise us that if you go on the trails, if you go towards the left, the hike is shorter and it's about a 1/2 a mile, and if you go towards the right, it's about a mile and a 1/2 Which is a great tip because, of course, we wanted to take the shorter route. We had a toddler and an elderly person with us, and so we did not want to do a strenuous hike. This hike was just enough for us to feel better adventurous, and like we accomplished something when we got to the falls. The falls were beautiful, and the water looked gorgeous. Although, I did see later on another app, that a lot of times sewer water gets into the falls. Unfortunately, we had decided to take a dip even though we didn't have swim suits just because it looks so refreshing but it's just something to keep in mind. Overall, we would definitely come here again! It looks like a great place to bring lunch and hang out and eat after a great hike!

This little gem is privately owned, so there's no park entrance fee -- just the beauty of the national park right outside your door. Owner JJ is a second-generation host who truly cares about his guests and his property. The park is immaculately maintained and thoughtfully laid out. There's a clean bathhouse, convenient laundry area, and a spacious gathering room complete with a full kitchen, tables, and chairs -- perfect for groups or rallies. Every site has full hookups, and JJ went out of his way to accommodate our group so we could all be near each other. Our sites backed up to a beautiful tree-lined brook, complete with picnic tables and fire pits -- an ideal spot to unwind and listen to the water in the evenings. JJ is also a wealth of local knowledge, offering great recommendations for places to eat, explore, and experience around Hot Springs. We couldn't have asked for a better stay -- peaceful, friendly, and perfectly located. Highly recommend J & J RV Park for anyone visiting the Hot Springs area!

It also included a full day of mining and zip lining. You can separate all these options if you choose to save some cash but we thought that was a good deal. We struggled to decide which mine to go to and have zero regrets. We are super excited to get home and clean up our great selection of gems. Everything was great, well explained and the staff were super friendly, helpful and seemed to really enjoy their jobs. Props to Andrew , Preston, Adrianna, Jeremiah and Kam! Thanks for being happy to be there, passionate to assist and educate and having fun while doing it!

Really awesome place too, & some amazing views. Zip lining and a mine tour for some additional $$. The staff is super polite and welcoming. I want to say it was $25/ person for an all day pass to dig. Tons of fun. Check out our haul. The big one was literally on top of the ground.

We called at the last minute for a reservation and Wendi made it happen. She's one of the few Park managers that said she'd call us back and actually did since we've been RVing. This park is nestled in the trees with no Mountain View. There's a clubhouse with lots of fans, swings, rocking chairs and a picnic table. Everything is very clean. There's no pool. You can swing, ride a bike or walk. There is a pool table and a puzzle making area and horseshoes that might interest you. The people are very friendly and offer help if you need them. I wish there was a playground for the kids or a pool or something. The laundry room is large and conveniently placed in the shower building. There's a large dumpster for trash. Shower room is clean and decorated. All in all, we've enjoyed our stay. Wendi has been so helpful. We'll be back and we'll tell our friends...and you.
