What an excellent find. We stayed a week and very much enjoyed the campground and the area. It is a wooded campground and a bit of a relief from concrete pads and neighbors that are to close. They have a fun nature trail right in the back of the property. it was close to Muskegon for their fireworks one night and Montague's fireworks the next. Very good fishing in Blue Lake which is directly across the street. The kids loved the play ground. The owners were very helpful and cheerfully assisted several campers who were a bit challenged with backing in. Very friendl! read more

We stayed for the weekend at the Glamor tent. It was amazing experience. Cozy, furnished, fridge, coffee maker, comfortable bed. Bathroom and shower few feet away. Trudy was very accommodating. Overhaul, nice experience. We highly recommend this site. Jacob and Sharna read more

Oak Knoll Family Campground is great, I highly recommend it! David, Jen, Brenda and Tom are all very helpful and friendly. They definitely make you feel very much at home, at least I know I sure did. Even without the free homemade ice cream on Saturday evening and the always available coffee, this is a great place to camp. The setting is awesome, completely wooded and shaded, with good sites for tent or trailer campers. My 32 foot trailer easily fit on Lot 8. There are many things to do right around the corner or within an easy 20 to 30 minute drive. I enjoyed running in the area around the campground as well as riding trails over by Muskegon and Montague. Happy Mohawk River Adventures is right nearby as is Big Blue Lake with easy access for boating and swimming. I have already camped here again, this time with my family. Thanks to David and his friendly family! read more

I didn't know much about this campsite when I called to reserve a spot. Everything I saw online for this campsite had one maybe two reviews. Luckily I found the website and noticed that it looked like a decent spot. Upon arriving I was really impressed. The site is back in the woods and has places for both tents and smaller RVs. They had a playground for kids, a volley ball area, a horse shoe pit, a pavilion, and a bathroom with working plumbing that also included a shower. The sites themselves were really good size. Some include power hookups, but all of them have fire pits. The main office sells firewood as well as batteries and flash lights. Not much but useful incase you happen to forget something. As for the folks that run tplace. Let me just say they are the nicest people. The guy at the desk when we walked in was very welcoming and friendly and let us pick which ever spot we wanted based on what was available. There is a lake there as well but we didn't go back to that area so I can't give a review for that. The overall stay was fantastic. This is by far one of the cleanest campsites I have ever been to and the bathrooms were very nice and clean as well. The price was also super great. Located right down the road is Happy Mohawk Canoe rentals which I highly recommend as well. So for those looking for a great little place to camp out this place is one that I highly recommend!! read more

DO NOT GO TO THIS CAMPGROUND!!!!!! If I could give this campground zero stars I would. We have been camping for a long time and have never had such a horrible experience. The owner DALE is so extremely rude and all about the massive amount of rules that you have to sign off on. During our families vacation on a holiday week, he evicted our friends for digging a hole (which we intended to fill before we left). The website is very deceiving because the office is disgusting smelling of stale smoke and the sites are extremely small. There is no "beach" across the street as they say on their website. Go to another campground there are plenty more nice ones in the area! read more
