I went to oak motors in February my car I had for 2 days.... before it went back in the shop it needed a motor mound brackets the radio never work i can say more.And I can say i have never met such rude people when it comes to a business they had my car for almost 2 weeks I got it back and it had to go back again for a serpentine belt and more and Indiana finance company dosent care as well just plain awful and a bad way to run a business the money us people pay for these low end half working cars is ridiculous I dont recommend them to anyone! read more

I purchased a 2015 BMW X1 from Oak Motors and began experiencing issues shortly after the purchase. Initially, the vehicle drove smoothly. I brought it in for the first issue and was told it needed a new ground cable because the original one had melted. After that repair, I was assured the problem was fixed. However, the vehicle broke down again at 3:00 AM while I was on my way to work--due to the same issue. This leads me to believe the problem was never properly resolved the first time. Since then, I have experienced a complete lack of communication. My calls are being ignored, no one is returning my messages, and I am not receiving any updates regarding my vehicle. I have never had issues with this company before, but this experience has been extremely disappointing. I regret not taking the time to review customer feedback prior to purchasing. I refuse to continue making payments on a vehicle that repeatedly breaks down, especially when service staff are not properly addressing the issue or communicating with me. This situation is unacceptable. I expect accountability, transparency, and proper repairs--not assurances that work has been completed when it clearly has not. the sales team is great- the service team, however, sucks. my fiancé and I got a car from them literally 5 days ago, the day after we got it the check engine light came on, come to find out we needed a new catalytic converter. I took the car in and they told me to bring it back at 7 in the morning three days later (which was yesterday) so they could get me in and out, when we dropped the car off we were told we would have it back at the end of the day, we tried to call service for an update multiple times and were either hung up on because sales answered, or nobody answered at all. we're finally able to get ahold of someone this morning and the car still hasn't even been touched. probably will not be utilizing the service department for the remainder of our contract. this is so unprofessiona. read more

They are rude as hell got my car out the shop Friday for it to be back in Monday and to be treated like crap the entire time because they are mad about doing there job I've never even missed a payment! Oak motors west sells bad quality vehicles. Their service department is rude. My daughter purchased a car only a month ago and the key doesn't unlock the door. We take it to them to fix and they tell us its fixed. NOPE. I get locked out of the car for 2 hours trying to talk with folks at Oak Motors only to have the service manager hang up on me when I'm trying to tell him what is going on. All he said - "We'll just tow it". They couldn't send a lock smith to me. I told them I had to do a presentation. He didn't listen and hung up I had to call the locksmith. Had the car 2 weeks and the lights are already dim an I can't see the lines at all really at night, the key got stuck the ignition several times which eventually ended up breaking the key, and the tires were balding. I had the get one tire fixed already and that was after the 1st week. Also, If my car is getting serviced, proper customer service from a car company would be sending someone out to get me when it's ready to be picked up. Hopefully that's what they do. This is one reason why I really value Enterprise as a car rental company. They will give you a ride home if you need one. Also, I got stuck at the gas station because of the key problems and when I asked if I'd get a ride home he basically said no. How was I supposed to get home if my car is getting towed ? Another OBVIOUS & well known customer service rule is to APOLOGIZE when something goes wrong and then finding ways to try to help the customer have a better experience with the company. They did not do that AT ALL . They basically told me I was stuck with a lowkey headache of a car and if I needed it to be fixed, then I'd have to pay for it and within 2 weeks of financing the car . I can't exchange it, get my money back, or get a discount, or anything. I'm not understanding the way some companies are operated these days. My husband and I purchased our first car with Oak Motors 10/14. It has been the worst experience ever. We have been switched from 4 different vehicles due to repair issues. We have had the worst experience with even trying to get our vehicles repaired. Even now the car we have has had several repair issues. The service department has repaired the power steering twice already and even put in a new steering column this was 3 months ago. The power steering is going out again. My husband and I continue to make our payments. All we have desired is reliable transportation. We have yet to receive this. The sales people are good but the quality of Oak Motors vehicles are absolutely horrible to say the least. The sales people here are great, but the service is beyond the worst I have ever experienced. I had to have a fuel pump replaced and when I came to pick it up, something is rattling under the car. Had someone come look at it, and it's the heat shield. So the mechanic messed up my heat shield, started my car, heard that sound and chose to IGNORE IT. So of course he is on lunch break and I have to wait an hour for him to stroll back in and remove a part of my car that he messed up. It sure wasn't making that noise when it was taken in and they didn't offer to replace it, just remove it. Buying a car from here you can get lucky but I will NEVER let them do so much as an oil change on my vehicle ever again. read more

Oak Motors.... where do I even begin? I bought a 2012 Hyundai Accent the day after my birthday. Within two months time I had to take it in do to an engine light kept coming on. Turned out to be the catalytic converter, fine go ahead and get it fixed. Finance Company approved it I thought everything would be hunky-dory. A couple months later had to bring it in. The car was shaking when I would stop or put on the brakes. I requested for the service department to look at my brakes. I don't know what they looked at but they said nothing was wrong with the brakes. Never address the shaking and sent me on my way. I had a friend change the back brakes. The rotors or cracked and warped. I brought those rotors back in and showed the service manager. There's no way in the world they could have looked at my brakes. At this point I was livid. The following week and a half later my cam sensors went out. Car kept stalling in the middle of the road or just plane out shutting off randomly while I'm on 465 or a busy Street. They kept my car 4 a week and a half, mind you I drive for a living, ended up losing my job because they wouldn't give me a loaner. And with the pandemic going on nobody really has any extra money to rent a car. A couple weeks later the front end of my car started shaking. I had to have the car brought back in do you have the front end fixed. Again no way to go to work now I don't have this job because waiting on them to fix it. So a month later still have the piece of crap car and I have to go to Cincinnati for training for a new job. It's snowing and raining and the car starts shaking while we are driving then the engine light and all the lights are on the dash come on. I'm 120 miles away from home I call service department. The response was we can get a tow truck for the car but you have to find your own way home. I'm already shity about this car, and you're telling me I cannot get a ride with the tow truck? Really? My opinion of Oak Motors is they are shady as hell. It's bad enough people have bad credit, a lot of times it's not our fault things happen. So we get taken advantage of because of it? Oak Motors should not be in business. You should have the option of picking out the car you do want. I was given a very tiny selection of what I could buy. So with me going back to the management and asking for a different car I was denied. I went ahead and took it to the attorney general and ask for a refund. I am hoping to get the refund. Do not deal with you shady ass people. I'm in a car that is either going to get me killed or seriously injured. And I love yesterday my dashboard lights went out. After 30 minutes they came back on. Just another typical car lot, sell you a dream till you come into their lair. I need to build my credit so I tried to deal with oak motors, they say good bad no credit they can help. I have two jobs one under the table so I didn't have bank statements for the cash job which I only get $400 a month so I'll take that, my tax paying job net pay is about $1100 when I went into the place they put like 750 on the paper (don't see how they did that math) then the bald or short hair older heavy set black dude (I'm black btw:) told me if I get a cosigner I'd be good he said somebody close to me. So I have my girl take time off from her construction job to come down and help me she put in a application they told her to come with three months bank statements which she did then they wanted another month so we did it on their computer then a slimmer older black dude tells me that my cosigner has to live with me and that he wish he would of known that before, yea me too since this was news to me and if anyone has got a cosigner that didn't live with them and got a car they lied to my face. Now while we were on the computer I over heard the black dude talking to the Latino dude about how he had to tell some chick she was wasting his time, I'm thinking isn't this your job smh but this is the behavior when people get to working places to long and get extra comfortable. He then tells me that you need about $1400 net pay for them to deal with you. When they kept asking for more stuff I had a feeling they didn't want to work with me, but the best part is when I asked if my girl could get a car for her he told me that they don't want to because they know it would be for me lol funny cause I never said that He said they wouldn't want to be chasing the car down different addresses basically saying I was going to be a problem I'd say they were racist but wasn't one white person in the spot so I'm just going to say they suck, we emailed some Garcia guy our info whom I guess they kept talking on the phone to. So wasted my girls time and mine as well but now after see all these bad reviews I think I'm better of without them. You should do everything in your power to avoid buying a vehicle from Oak motors. if you miss paying your car payment by one day they will call you like telemarketers. The interest rate is 19.45%, no matter what your credit is. If you ever need your car serviced good luck. The service department will make you wait for several hours just to look at your car, then they will tell you to come back and drop off your car for servicing. Sooooo.... Update to my last post. Found out that the engine needed to be replaced. Had to wait for approval to honor the warranty that my vehicle was still under. Got approval engine replaced.... Thought that was going to be the end of my troubles. But nnnnooooopppeeee! Got the vehicle back to 11-8. Drove perfect for a few days then bam! Guess what light just came back ON??? That dreaded check engine light. Just came back on this past Saturday. Now my car is jerking forward like it wanta to cut offwhile stopped and in park and guess what? Im smelling exhaust fumes AGAIN!!! So yet again I have an appointment to take it back to the shop this upcoming Friday. So yet again not only do I have a car payment due this week but I may have to pay out of pocket again for lyfts and ubers while its fixed ( spent over 200 bucks just this last time it was being fixed) AND pay a 294 car payment plus insurance. Im getting really tired of this back and forth. Everybody getting money in this situation but me. This has put my job in jeopardy as i have had to take unpaid days again because of this "reliable" vehicle. Just dont do it! Oak Motors did well in putting me in a vehicle. The problems occurred when I started putting my payments in the after hours box. I get a call from a oak motors representative saying I haven't made my payment. I tell them I made the payment few days ago and put it in the night deposit. I leave out my house to go to work and realize my car is missing the next day. I thought it was stolen. But reality was that my car is repossessed because they couldn't find my payment. The next day my payment was found in the night deposit. But I was charged the tow bill to get my car back. I paid it. Three months later the same thing happened again. They said they found my payment and I can come get the car. This time I told them to keep the car and I'll be there to get my possessions out of it. So they sold the car at auction and whatever the remaining balance was after auction is what they demanded from me. Which is now on my credit as a debt and repossession. Oak Motors suck!! read more

i financed a car from the west side location on 11/27/2015. on 11/28/2015 my power steering messed up i was told to bring it in monday the 30th. i called to make sure then they gave me a service appointment of tuesday the first at 9:30. i didn't make it, i broke down on the side of the road with my two kids. they told me my car would be towed that night it was not. that tuesday morning it checked into service for four days for the power steering. i got it back that friday and saturday my power steering went out again. i took it monday and they fixed power steering again. wednesday it was back out. i took it back they said it just needed the hose sealed. this following monday i waited four hours for the power steering again. tuesday i had to go back for power steering and now today 12/18/2015 i got it towed up there again. lets not forget i work a full-time job mon-fri 8am-5pm i dont have time for this 3 times a week. by time im done taking it back and forth i wont have a job anymore or be able to pay the car note. they offer reliable and affordable transportation so where is it? i am at my wits end im ready to give it back and say i dont care anymore. i got into this contract trusting oak motors and i got this having to find rides to and from work due to how many hours ive been losing i cant afford my full coverage insurance to even get a loaner car i have bills and kids. so what am i to do now? i wouldnt recommend this car lot to my worst enemy. i feel like another contract and commission. if you purchase a car here your going to have to file a lemon law claim. cause you cant get another car!!!!!!!!!! read more
