I contacted John and he came with a second group that corrected the problems. When asked about the high price for Stump grinding, John gave several explanations that made no sense. After much discussion, he finally agreed to rebate $900 in two weeks. That was 3 weeks ago. He has not responded to my texts and my phone calls to him go to voice mail.

Would not recommend this tree service. Two different workers did apologize after we complained about the job. I have a hard time attaching a dollar value on apologies.

This for one is completely illegal and for 2 nobody from this company ever thought to talk to myself or the other neighbor at the end of street. I have an elderly parent that I take care of and if she would have needed emergency services, they would have had to wait for the crew to pull the arms in from their truck and move tree branches out of the way before being able to get to us. This is completely unacceptable. 2 minutes could be the difference between life and death!

They did a great job getting the tree down safely and without damage to our property. They placed a plywood path in the grass to avoid damage to our lawn from the trucks. They did exactly as we asked with the wood (chip the small branches and brush and dump it in the back yard for the garden and hen house, and cut the larger pieces into firewood-sized chunks so we can split it and use it this winter). They ground the stump down nice and deep. The only reasons I give them 4 stars instead of 5 is because they didn't even attempt to level the ground where the stump was, and because they did not communicate well about when they were coming. They had 2 numbers and only called one, and when they didn't get an answer they just came to the house anyway rather than calling the second. He had given us a timeframe (10-14 days till service) with the quote, and it was nice that they came sooner than expected, but an unanticipated arrival was an issue for 2 reasons: they only take cash (so we had to run out to the bank), and I work night shift. I had worked the night prior and had to go back in that night, so I only got about 3 hours of sleep. If they had communicated more effectively I'd have requested a different day. Overall I recommend and will use them again when my trees need trimming this fall.
