The customer service was great and I especially love the hiking trail thing. Mum and I like to walk from Brighton Caravan Park all the way to the Brighton jetty because it keeps us fit. I would definitely stay here with a boyfriend because it's very peaceful and serene. It's also a great place to take the kids. I absolutely think this place is great and I love how the caravan isn't too packed like Adelaide Shores. If you're looking for a getaway come here. If you live in the city and feel like you don't have much time to exercise then this is the place to you. It even included a small washer and dryer which was nice after a week of traveling throughout Australia. While it would be a stretch to tag this place as high end, it was clean, comfortable and in a good location right on the tram line and near plenty of restaurants. It was only a short walk from were we'd be staying if we were at home, and it has the perfect spot on the beachfront. Recently my sister and her kids stayed here for a week, so I got the chance to experience it all over again. I think it says a lot when I get informed that they've started referring to it as the 'no-fun park'. Not a good indicator of a family holiday spot. It's mostly down to the fact that kids can't ride their bikes or really do much of anything around the cabins. I'm sure it's to keep noise down, but surely during the day a few kids having fun isn't going to be too harmful. The cabins are by no means luxurious, but they have everything you need. The park also has plenty of other facilities including a playground or tennis court if you do want to try and have some fun. The playground is mainly designed for younger children, but it's a blessing because the Moana Beach playground next door has to be one of the weirdest ones around. My favourite part would have to be checking out the awesome RVs that take up spots around the caravan park, who knew they could get that big! It's a fantastic location for enjoying Moana Beach during the Summer, maybe they just need to lighten up a little.

Levi Park will be on this tour, and there will be a giant statue of me, possibly wearing Speedo's! Levi Park is Grrrrrrrreat! I used to head there on weekends with my family for tennis picnics and to dob the footy with dad. There is a very nice, rustic feel to Levi with a lot to explore for a group of kids while the Adults slog it out or sit back with a box or two of fine wine! In the centre of the caravan park is the old homestead and one of the biggest old fig trees you will ever see. It is well over 100 years old and great for a bit of hide and seek. Also, because it is located on the Torrens River, you can slip out the back and let the kids have a play on the nearby stone bridge. If you're lucky you may even find a yabby or two!

In fact this caravan park is just 5 kms or 10 minutes from the heart of Adelaide. This place is great if you've got family or friends coming to visit and no room to put them up at your place. Situated at Vale Park, it's in a pretty ritzy Adelaide suburb but more significantly it backs onto the River Torrens and Linear Park. Now don't think of the stinky old Torrens Lake at Elder Park, this part of the River Torrens is surrounded by natural vegetation, families of ducks and is really very pretty. There's a walking and riding track so packing either your shoes or your wheels for your stay is a must. Levi Park Caravan Park caters for all different kinds of guests. There are spots for caravans and for those who like to camp out in tents, and then there are a range of cabins and villas with all the luxuries of home if you want to get away from it all but still need those extra creature comforts. The amenities too are first rate with BBQ, laundry and shower facilities there for guests to use. The really good thing about it is even though you're staying in a caravan park, you're just out of the city and there's a bus stop right out front so getting around is really easy. To top it all off the grounds at this caravan park are pretty stunning. There's a beautiful old Moreton Bay Fig tree just next to the historic Vale House. The old house has been divided into apartments and you can stay there as well. All in all it's a far cry from my memories of staying in caravan parks as a kid where cold showers and hot caravans were the norm.

The phrase 'airplane food' popped into my mind, but there was no need to worry. For a start, planes probably couldn't take off with the generous helpings dished up at this fancy pub. On top of the half-price carvery deal the night we attended was an offer of free soup - a choice of two soups, in fact. Cheapskate heaven. I won't go on about the consistently high quality of the traditional fare offered by the professional kitchens of most pubs in Adelaide. Suffice to say that our roasts were definitely up to scratch. My beef was tender and juicy, yet with a crunchy crust. My partner's pork was succulent with lashings of perfectly roasted crackling. The gravy in both instances was proper pan-juice gravy, not the glutinous powder sort. The vegetable selections in the Bain Marie were regularly topped up with fresh material and the salads were a cut above the usual noodle, spud or 'green' alternatives. What a delicious meal we each enjoyed. It may have been a bit warm had we been lunching next to the vast expanse of north facing plate glass at our elbows, but the view at dinner time across the lake was ideal. Turn up your nose at soup, roast and beer if you like, but sitting back, with a lake view and a well-filled belly at the West Lakes Hotel, I say, 'Suit yourself!'

Our studio room is small as expected, however has a large balcony and is very modern, clean and well appointed. I would definitely stay here again and it makes for a fabulous city break for locals or would be perfect for a traveller from interstate or overseas.

We headed in for a pint or two to kill some time and found ourselves in a conversation with a couple of the locals. Apparently I don't know 'shit' about fish'n and I drink like a nancy boy! Now, I admit that I know bugger all about fishing, but I smashed that tool in a skulling contest....I may drink slow normally but I know how to open my gullet when it counts bitch! Anywho, just an average pub with a bit more soul than most. The locals add a bit of colour, which I like, and can get a bit rowdy....which I also like! Meals are pretty cheap, and the tap beer prices are on the lower end of the scale which also treats the wallet kindly.

SUPER SPACIOUS rooms and decent sized bathrooms to boot. Comfy beds, great lighting, plenty of towels etc etc. But then, when we needed a glass of water, we realised the key flaw. Whilst the room has a little kitchen bench and fridge, it doesn't have cups, glasses, a tap, or tea and coffee facilities. This means you have to fill up your water bottle in the bathroom, which I'll do if I have to, but its a bit icky. So overall, whilst I'd stay there again for a night, the design perhaps isn't ideal for longer term... unless they retrospectively add a sink to all the rooms. That being said, there's enough room for almost an entire kitchen... so maybe it isn't a bad idea!

At this price the Manna is a great stopover on the way to or from Adelaide by road. The rooms feel a little exposed from the outside, and neighbours gathering nearby are heard as clear as day. Bathroom is decent size with a huge shower area. All other amenities are about what you'd expect from photos - no nasty surprises. Definitely will consider staying here again!
