We remodeled our home two years ago, spending over $100k on Oakcraft cabinets. First, they delivered the wrong color for our bathroom cabinets. Our contractor tried repainting them twice, but the paint chipped immediately. Eventually, he had to take them to the shop for a better finish. After the remodel, we faced issues with kitchen drawer guides. Multiple drawers wouldn't open without force, and despite attempts to fix it, it never worked properly. After multiple visits, the Oakcraft tech suggested we realign the guides ourselves, as necessary. When multiple drawers continued to malfunction, Oakcraft's response was inadequate, dismissive and condescending. Despite my complaints, they insisted the drawers were functioning within "acceptable standards." After numerous unreturned calls to their customer service, I finally spoke to a supervisor who dismissed my concerns. I would strongly advise against choosing Oakcraft for cabinets. Terrible service. I spent $100,000 on cabinets with a new build. After 2 years ?Warranty runs out and youre on your own. Cabinet is splitting in the bathroom no stain repair service or suggestions. I called ans asked for service to fix these willing to pay and the lady who answered the phone said they don't provide any service after two years and the warranty has run out. Not shocked to see so few stars. Wish we could have gone with another vendor for our new build but this is who Blandford uses for some unfortunate reason. It's a shame they choose to align themselves with a subpar cabinetry company that clearly cuts corners and doesn't care about the customer OR the quality of their product. We built our home brand new and it was over $1M. I was expecting an upgrade in the cabinetry from our last home which we bought used for less than 1/4 of that price. To my dismay, the cabinet quality was WORSE. In fact, it was more on par with that of manufactured home or even an RV home. No offense to manufactured homes or RV's either. But the quality of these cabinets belong in something $100k or less and that's about what you can buy with $100k these days. It really is that bad. We noticed extreme damage and flaws during several walkthroughs. Water damage underneath in the bathrooms. Drawers that were totally damaged, etc. We dealt with the flawed process in which OakCraft sends out their employees to "repair" specific things only during each visit and sad to say, they usually did it wrong the first time and it results in several more appointments to fix what should have been done correctly prior to move in. I'm talking incorrect crown molding installed above our butler pantry cabinets when we paid for the upgrade. Damaged drawers. Poor paint jobs. Cracked fronts. Nail holes all over the island and the toe kicks which they sloppily covered with a white putty at (one) of the repairs. That was a messy looking debris trap! The incorrect soft close hinges were installed in EVERY SINGLE cabinet upstairs AND downstairs. That was an upgrade we paid for too. Every single one was wrong. There were probably close to a hundred of those that had to be replaced. The inside of the cabinets were installed so haphazardly, the pieces look like they were shoved in and looked 20 years old before we even put our first dish inside. The customer service was a nightmare. The amount of no shows, reschedules, appointments that took all day and still to no end. The more I inspected the cabinets the more flaws I found. It was like opening Pandora's Box. Humberto was the only carpenter who worked for Oakcraft who did a great job with what he was given. He was pretty quick and thorough and the only reason why OakCraft gets 1 star at all. The quality of these cabinets are seriously lacking. Definitely made in China and ultimately, pieces of crap. It's honestly embarrassing how junky my cabinets are when our home cost us over $1M. read more

Been in new house 3 years and the Oakcraft cabinetry is terrible. Door joints are coming apart, white color is discoloring, some places they are just plain cracking. Terrible workmanship and worse customer service. They had to replace several doors and poor quality cabinets at our one year mark. Asked for a touchup kit, for kick plates, and they said no. This is the vendor Pulte uses that they should say it all (majority of Pulte contracts do very poor work). The only bright spot will come when I replace them and have these cheep cabinets thrown into a dumpster. read more

They don't read work orders, they don't care about deadlines, they don't ship product carefully, they install hardware improperly, they break something on every delivery, and don't expect a quick repair. Horrible customer service. We closed escrow on our new home in August 2020. Complained about the poor workmanship and mismatched stain on all cabinets, After no showing to several appointments, they came yesterday and took all our doors away. We are dealing with Shea builders, their customer service is just as bad as the resources they use. How would you like to have a new home, 8 months old, worth $$$,$$$, and not have one cabinet door?? Just purchased our second David Weekley home and once again had no choice but to use Oakcraft so this is our second terrible experience with Oakcraft. This time we asked if someone from the management team would come take a look at our cabinets and they cancelled two meetings. It is very clear that this company has some serious problems. Detailing every problem would be very lengthy so just to get to the point - find an alternative to Oakcraft if possible. Unfortunately we didn't have that option through our David Weekley purchase but we would never purchase another home if we had to go with Oakcraft. read more

Terrible cabinets and very poor customer service. I had my kitchen remodeled with Oakcraft cabinetry 2 years ago, the cabinets were never right from the beginning: warped doors, sawdust that was painted over, slipped panels. They repeatedly sent out replacement parts with poorer quality than the items that were being replaced. The company has been contacted numerous times and ignores requests for help. Run away from this company. They are terrible. We closed on our house over a year ago and our cabinets are still not what they should be for a new house. When we moved in they had about half of the doors on back order, because they were bowed, chipped or something wrong with them. We didn't get those for over 6 months. Every single drawer box needed to be replaced because somebody used the wrong tool to put on the drawer handles and they were all cracked. Over a month ago they finally replaced the kitchen ones, but forgot the bathroom ones. We have now had two appointments , where they have forgotten to show up to replace the bathroom ones and the parts are sitting outside. This does not make any sense. A lot of the staining/painting looks splotchy and they need to do touch ups. I would not use this company but Toll Brothers( the builder) did. NEVER AGAIN read more

Purchased an entire kitchen set two years ago. 9 months after install 18 doors needed to be replaced because the paint started peeling off and The boxes started to crack from around the tile. About 12 months after the new doors were installed, we started having the same issue. Now we are past our two year warranty. Pretty much decided to replace my cabinets within five years. Very disappointed with how bad the cabinets look. Several people are shocked with how bad the cabinets are holding up and people with ikea cabinets have less issues than us!!!! Update. We went with a grey painted shaker cabinet and they really looked great. After about a year I noticed the paint doesn't hold up, it chips and scratches easily. We've had a couple doors replaced because there were warped. The drawers don't stay closed (so annoying!) even after having a technician come out to tighten them (knew it wouldn't work anyway). You really have to baby these cabinets and that doesn't work well for our family because we have young kids. Really trying to love this product but I just can't seem to get there. read more

We've been living in the house for 1 year and all that time, had either missing or mismatched cabinet doors in the kitchen. I purchased a Toll Brothers home in North Scottsdale and have had the worst possible customer service from the supplier of cabinets - Oakcraft. They have been unresponsive when they are supposed to show up for warranty work. This has happened several times since I purchased the house in July 2021. Again today I waited for the 4 hour window for service and no one showed up or called. It was confirmed yesterday that they would arrive. I called their office and got bounced to 3 different voicemails and no response back yet. Obviously there is no customer service at this company. Do not use if you have a choice! Purchased upgraded cabinets from Oakcraft for my Toll Brothers house. Way over priced for complete junk cabinets. Before I moved into my house in Oct. 2020 crown molding was broke & Oak Craft employees glued it together so poorly. They installed wrong crown molding in my laundry room. It's some cheap molding instead of my over priced crown molding I paid for. I have been in my house for 8 months now with broken & wrong crown molding. I have cabinets that are chipped & broken since Oct. 2020 & they keep coming out & say they will put it on order. It's been 8 months!!! The customer service is horrible & the product is cheap. Eight weeks later I still have no shelves the customer representative Erica will not return phone calls and their manager simply does not want to hear that there are any issues. My husband and I purchased a home in the Windgate Ranch neighborhood in Scottsdale, AZ in early 2020. Our home was built in 2018 and the entire home came equipped with Oakcraft Cabinets. Shortly after moving into our home, I reached out to our builder (Toll Brothers) regarding concerns I was having relating to the condition of the cabinets. Since the 1 year warranty had lapsed and we were not the original homeowners, were were told to address our concerns with Oakcraft directly. On almost every cabinet in the home, there is significant peeling and chipping that is occurring and it is evident the cabinets were not primed. I also had a local contractor in Scottsdale come out to the home to assess the situation, and he confirmed they were not primed. I then reached out to Oakcraft and spoke with Gaylene in customer service. Gaylene stated she would look into the issue and call me back. After a week had passed and Gaylene failed to return my phone call, I reached out again. Gaylene, once again, stated she would look into it and call me back. Gaylene called me back the following day and stated they would open a customer service order. Gaylene responded a week later via email with the following... "Below is the response I received from our warranty team. They warranty is non transferrable." No one from Oakcraft assessed the condition of the cabinets or requested pictures, prior to denying my request. Not only does Oakcraft have poor customer service, but their product quality and workmanship is absolutely horrendous. Oakcraft has stated that if I would like their team to assess, I would have to open a billable work order. This is not acceptable for cabinets that are 2 years old, when it is evident their company did not properly prime. Additionally, if you search "Oakcraft" online this same issue has been reported multiple times. This company should not be allowed to continue to operate, as they are producing defective products and refusing to either acknowledge or fix. I will continue to escalate my concerns. read more

I live in Reno, NV. After a dispute with its local dealer, I approached OakCraft under the terms of the warranty. A number of the cabinet doors contain burrs. According to the seller, the cabinets are fine and the defects very minor. According to the general contractor, the defects are not minor and the doors need to be replaced. I contacted OakCraft and sent a number of photographs. I asked it to contact me. I don't know if it will. I got an email from the dealer which stated "Oakcraft is not going to respond." At a minimum, I feel I should get some official correspondence from the manufacturer in the event of a customer complaint. It is my opinion that the OakCraft warranty creates a incentive for its dealers not to find any defect. According to an OakCraft statement, "First an OakCraft dealer has to determine there is a defect, submit the warranty claim, and then the "dealer would be [financially] responsible for receiving and installing the warranty items. Added July 15 2016: I now have questions about the quality of OakCraft's products. A number of my doors have a slight imperfection called a "bark pockets. According to Wikipedia, "Bark pockets are patches or inclusions of bark partially or fully embedded in the wood of a tree. They can also be used as biomonitors. Bark pockets are considered a nuisance in the lumber industry because they are considered a defect, and lower the grade of the wood." It is the lower the grade of the wood that I want to address here. I have a number of these "bark pockets" on a number of these doors. OakCraft, in its website claims to "delivers a full range of quality products that cater to to all of your needs including . . ." According to Hardwood Plywood Grading Guide (2015 Edition), availalbe through the Columbia Forest Product web site, http://www.columbiaforestproducts.com/library/reference-guides/grading-guide/page 25,, you are not supposed to see "bark pockets" in either Grade A veneer in the Maple or Oak family. You can see them in Grade B and below. Similarily The Illustrated Guide to American Hardwood Lumber Grades, available on-line at http://www.esf.edu/wus/documents/IllustratedGradingGuide.pdf states that the National Hardwood Lumber Association "do[es] do not allow . . . [bark pocket] in the clear cuttings for all grades and they are therefore considered defects." Added August 24, 2016 Finally heard from OakCraft. According to Debra Ryan, Director of Resource Management: Because OakCraft is a manufacturer of cabinets, we do not deal directly with the public. All orders must go through an approved dealer. It is the dealer's responsibility to measure, design, order appropriate cabinetry, as well as any hardware that is used. When receiving the product, it is also the responsibility of the dealer to inspect the pieces before signing for and accepting the delivery. As far as the grade of veneer used on your cabinetry, OakCraft uses a "Grade A" veneer on all cabinet faces and backs. Variations in texture and color are a natural characteristic of the wood. The only product that OakCraft offers that allows for control of visual aesthetics is a synthetic melamine wrap. After researching your order, it has been determined that your order was processed as ordered by the dealer. You would need to continue to seek any altercations through the dealer you used. -------------------------- Added August 25, 2015 This morning I had a lovely conversation with Debra Ryan, OakCraft Director of Resource Management. She explained OakCraft's position on my concerns one the bark pockets, and while I disagree with her, I now understand where OakCraft is coming from. She also explained how OakCraft builds its product. Accordingly I am raising my star review from one to three. Later we communicated by email and we discussed how I could resolve my other problems. She told me that my General Contractor could contact another distributor to order replacement cabinets and that it was possible to order replacement doors. While dealing with OakCraft and most manufacturers is hard, once I got ahold of the correct person, OakCraft started to go that extra mile and work with me. This is a rare occurrence with most companies. I still not happy with its policy that ALL warranty claims must go through the dealer, OakCraft through its action today, deserves much more praise than condemnation. If I could give zero stars I would, we moved into a 2 year old toll brothers home in Scottsdale. A number of cabinets have cracking and peeling paint, and oak craft will not fix because we are not the original owners. Every single one of my neighbors has had the same issues mentioned as others here and all have had multiple doors repainted due to poor quality paint and no primer used. I am not sure if this location of Oakcraft is responsible for the issues with my cabinetry, and if not perhaps they can get my complaint to the right place. After building my beautiful retirement home here in AZ, I am so disappointed in my cabinetry. In addition to nails coming through an end cabinet and other cosmetic issues, a couple of kitchen doors split and had to be replaced. When the replacement doors came the installer drilled the hole for the hardware in the wrong place, did a bad patch and didn't mention it to me. At the same time, he neglected to install the second door hinge properly leaving the top hinge completely without screws - left them on a shelf! A third door was made but neither the finish or the stain matched. Yesterday another door was supposed to be installed but no one showed up for the appointment. This morning I learned from my builder the new door is delayed again because they over sanded it. My builder is dealing with this issue, but in the end it's MY home and MY investment.
