As I followed my sister into the store, I realized I had been wrong all these years. I was pleasantly surprised at the wide selection of clothing hanging from the racks. Yes, RW & Co. does sell black pants and turtlenecks, but they also sell much, MUCH more. And it's not crazy expensive like I thought either! They've got everything from jeans to hats, dresses to jewellery, and their prices are comparable to Banana Republic and Club Monaco. Plus they use recyclable bags, which is a nice touch, unlike their competitors who continue to use plastic. I ended up leaving the store with a super cute pair of jeans in hand, along with the environmentally friendly bag, of course! Like I said, I was pleasantly surprised with my most recent experience at RW & Co. and I no longer plan to be a stranger.

Glad I went the distance as the Beacon Hill location (Sarcee) was inept. Happy with my purchase and glad i went the distance to go to this store. Since I went back to spend my credits and it is one coupon per per chase no stacking. Bullshit but Morgan and Driele explained the policy politely. Basically, just like every other BB&B, it's bright, stocked to the gills and filled with virtually everything conceivable that is homewares, linen, kitchen gadgets and so much more. I really can't comment too much on it, since it's the same at every one no matter where you go across North America (though I'm still looking for Christopher Walken to give me a magic remote control just like in the movie Click). I like going here from time to time, mostly to see what other type of gadget and tool is there to be had for my use, whether it be making industrial amounts of french fries to being able to make foie gras, halibut and bacon ice cream with their nuclear powered ice cream maker and automated car engine tuner. As for what's in the Beyooooonnndddd (echo echo echo), well, toys, discounted movies, candy and so on. While not exactly a great selection, the toys they do have are actually pretty tasteful and not the usual schlock stuff but something more high end (presently all kinds of Discovery Channel Kids science stuff, and I remember them selling kid versions of Night Vision goggles once or twice). Oh, and I do love the free demos of the coffee machines. While I own a Keurig myself, I find it so neat that I get ot have a ton of samples from the Nespresso and other machines, though they do get a little cross if you do try more than one...or six (sheepish look). Needless to say, I usually leave the BB&B pretty darn wired! Basically, this is a place I wouldn't visit often, but would be a place I would go to if I was doing a house or wedding registry and such. But recently I walked by and saw a really nice party dress...perfect for the holiday season. I was in a rush though so I noted the dress and came back about a week later on a weekend. The dress was no longer on display but I found it easily enough on the rack. They had a few sizes left and thankfully one that looked like it would fit. No sooner did I have the dress in hand, did a sales woman offer to start a fitting room for me. A little pushy but after that she didn't bother me so I can't complain. I quickly glanced around the store. There was a lot going on and most of the styles I saw weren't my thing. I think they cater to a slightly older crowd (late 40's/50's +) (they did have a cruise wear section). They also have stuff that I'd consider to be a little more whimsical/unique in design which isn't my personal preference but I could picture some women I know who would love the clothes there. The dress fit perfectly (yay for in-change-room mirrors) and I made the purchase...at just a little over $100 it was a good deal on a party dress in my opinion. I'd recommend shopping at this store on the weekends as it always looks a bit busy during weekdays. Also, during the week they have live mannequins stationed at the door. They creep me out a little bit but others may not mind :)

Today (very upset) because the lights were on, 2 ladies working in the store and the doors were locked. I knocked and the moment the saw me, they went to the back room. I browsed around in here for about 15 minutes before I finally realized everything was out of my budget. I couldn't find one piece of clothing for under $100. Okay, that's a lie. I think there was a hat for around $50. But still. I didn't even find the clothes in this store to be that nice. Everything seemed a little outdated or at least not very modern. To each their own, I suppose. It's been a while since I've been stalked and eye-balled by salespeople when I'm perusing a store, but sure enough, it happened here. One of the ladies followed not two feet behind me the entire time, watching what I was doing, but never offering a hand. I mean, I may not look like I'm 30 years old, but I certainly don't look like a teenager ready to shoplift whatever I can fit into my purse. I was extremely insulted and definitely uncomfortable while shopping here. One cool thing about this place is that they do in-house tailoring to all their clothes. You can't bring something from a different store and have it altered, but they'll change any article of clothes you buy from their store. That sets them apart from most other clothing stores. If you're going to have a look in here, make sure you check out their secret lower level. Okay, it's not really a secret since anyone can go in here, but it's somewhat hidden behind racks of clothes. There's actually a whole separate section to this place that seems like it could be a totally different store. And yes, the aforementioned salesperson followed me down there too. I browsed the jewellery displays for some earrings, there is a lot of displays around the store, most earrings went for $140. I found some "Hollywood" accessories, like invisible tape, tag tamers and commando liners. All of these went for $20 or so, which is over priced for sure. I looked at the shoes I was interested in initially, but looking at them in person and the price, I wasn't so interested anymore. I browsed around a bit more. I found a great leather belt, for $130, eep. I did find some clothing pieces that were very beautiful, so I will admit that they carry things for women of different ages. So my only choice is to get dark navy blue cloths and improvise. I came to Ricki's and at first glance, I didn't see what I needed. After talking to the sales person, who was super helpful and helped me find a pair of pants. Yes, that worked. Now, I just need to hunt for a top. Great service! The store, Ricki's is always clean and neatly organized. They periodically have items on sale. Great store. I ended up signing up for their membership card. The store is located inside Core Mall downtown.

It is amazing the amount of merchandise in this location. Everything is easy to browse and well stocked. I have only rarely found anything to be out of stock and only for a very short time. A very good selection of leather both full hides and remnants is available. The only drawback I find and this is an issue with Tandy not with this location is the pricing. The store follows the online catalogue pricing but I find that prices on hardware, fittings etc runs 3x or 4x higher than I can find comparable items online. If I can wait the 4 or 6 weeks for delivery I will wait.
