I've lived at Oakridge for three years now. The management here is the worst I've ever experienced, hands-down. The old management from my first year was great, but the new managers, Tilisa and Margaret, are shady, rude, petty, and condescending. They're rude when you talk to them and have the worst customer service. They've treated many of their Community Assistants (residents hired as workers) extremely poorly, firing them and then kicking them out even though previous Community Assistants were not forced to move out. Apparently the other Community Assistants who weren't forced to move out were only allowed to stay because they promised not to speak poorly about Oakridge and Triton. So yeah, that's shady AF. Furthermore, our apartment is being renovated over the summer. When we signed the contract, we were promised full renovations, with granite countertops in the kitchen, new flooring throughout, etc. When my roommates and I asked the management for more information about the renovations, they were extremely weird and rude about it. We had to ask about six questions before they even made eye contact with us, and they eventually admitted that Oakridge hadn't even hired contractors yet. Keep in mind, this is one month before summer, when they're supposed to be doing the renovations. This raised a red flag, since the first apartment they renovated last year was renovated by Community Assistants, who aren't even qualified to do any renovations (naturally they installed the bathtub wrong and it leaked through the floor to the apartment below). I'm not blaming the Community Assistants, because renovating apartments isn't in their job description, but apparently Oakridge doesn't care about that. The poor renovations were the result of Oakridge being cheap and lazy. When my roommates asked if the Community Assistants would end up renovating the designated apartments rather than a certified contractor, management skirted around the question and just kept talking about how they were still waiting for the renovation bids. We then asked about what kinds of renovations Oakridge was doing, and apparently we aren't getting the granite countertops or complete new flooring like promised. They're just resurfacing the kitchen countertops and cabinets, installing new appliances, and only replacing the floors in the living room and kitchen. Frustrated that we weren't going to receive the renovations we were promised, we asked what would happen if the renovations weren't completed in time. Oakridge is renovating four buildings, each with six apartments, over the summer, and based on my experience with them, I doubted they would finish in time. Oakridge management just said that they will finish in time and not to worry about it. When we pressed them about what would happen just in case they didn't finish, management had no real answer, other than saying "Triton wouldn't leave you guys hanging like that" (they would totally leave us hanging like that but whatever). Anyways, management here is the absolute worst and I'm so sick of them. The old management was great, but this new management doesn't know the first thing about managing apartments or customer service or basic human decency. read more

I lived here for about three years. Avoid this place at all costs. In my time at Oakridge, I lived in three separate ground-floor apartments. Every one of them had issues with leaking during rainstorms. I even had to spend a week sleeping on the couch at one point because my bedroom flooded. Maintenance put a fan underneath the carpet but did not replace the carpet or padding and made no attempt to stop water from building up under the carpet. Every window in the apartment also leaked, and maintenance unsuccessfully tried to seal the leaks on several different occasions. This caused mold to grow in the windows. The windows and floor weren't the only leaks, either. Our toilet leaked which maintenance promptly fixed with a roll of aluminum foil. I wish I was kidding, but the maintenance guy didn't even bring a toolbox when he showed up. He brought a roll of aluminum foil and that was it. The floor in our bathrooms was redone at one point. Maintenance left a disgusting mess in our tub (where they set the toilet), and ruined several of our own towels dealing with the water. They showed absolutely no respect for our personal property and offered no apology. Moving into my last apartment there, I knew I was being rushed in. I would be surprised in management even inspected it before sending there. The carpet was dirty. The fridge, freezer, and oven were covered in old food particles. There was a lopsided wire shelf hanging on the wall in my bedroom and a large hole that the previous tenant had filled with toothpaste. Management either sent me into that apartment without knowing what kind of state it was in, or they inspected it and thought it was fine. There's simply no excuse for it. If the convenient location close to a bus stop is all that you care about, go for it and live at Oakridge. If you want management that will treat you like a human being or a livable apartment, I strongly advise that you look elsewhere. This place is run by people who have no idea what they're doing. When we moved in our apartment was a mess, mold growing, toilet was unhinged from the floor, and our microwave was broken. Twice within a week we requested maintenance and a couple hours later got a reply email saying "Maintenance has marked your request as Fixed" when nobody had come over to check the problem or even contacted us about it. When the maintenance dude finally did show up after multiple requests, all he had to say was "Well..... if it gets any worse let me know". The front office was never able to answer even the simplest of questions that they should know, such as "What is the process if I need to move out after this semester, halfway through my contract". They had to write down my name and have someone call me back 4 days later, then another person call me back an hour after that and correct what the first person said because it was incorrect. Lastly, they deal with problems on the property very childishly. Sending out a notification saying "Somebody thought it would be funny to run across the pool cover. Until the violators come and confess it was them, the pool and hot tub are closed". So because 1 person, who may or may not even live here, decided to be an idiot one night, they are punishing all 600 adult, rent-paying residents. I feel like I'm in 2nd grade again: "until somebody confesses to stealing the markers from the whiteboard, nobody gets to go to recess." read more

This place was a great place to live. Free amenities, like pool, hottub, nice club house. Free wifi. For a bit. Then they started charging the good students for something that they already had. Claiming that the internet that was provided before the switch was what the free option is now at. Which is completely bull because even being directed connected won't give the same service as it once was. They figured that if every 2 out of 4 people in every apartment would pay for faster internet they would get twice as much money from students who don't have any. So I urge you to look at other places if you are even interested in things like online gaming or even watching Netflix over their shitty wifi. Because that is not going to happen unless you want to pay for it on top of the insurance that they make you pay also. Did I mention that that both of the companies that are doing the insurance and the internet are both based in logan and most likely owned and operated by the same people who own this housing complex? So again I urge you to look at different places if you don't want your money sucked out of you for stupid things that they said would supply. read more

I've been living here for a year and it has been absolutely amazing. These bad reviews are outdated- they must have switched management or something because those reviews are no longer relevant. if I have an issue I call the office & they're so kind & pick up so quickly! Our heater broke and it's January (like 16 degrees outside) & they filed it as an emergency repair. it ended up that they weren't able to come fix it that same day (probably because I called around 5pm), so someone from the office literally ran over 2 space heaters within 5 minutes after I hung up the call. I live in a renovated apartment and it is so nice. the social life here is also amazing. The office hosts events for different holidays and other random occasions and they're great social opportunities and you get to meet lots of fun people. Disregard the old reviews. I 1000% recommend living here! read more

I've really liked living here these last two semesters. Like any student housing there are some negative things. One is the walls. The walls are thin so if you have loud neighbors, you can hear everything. But I've never had a super huge problem with it, so it's been great for me! The people here are social and it's in a convenient spot with the shuttle for the school having a stop right outside. It's nice having your own room and there's enough space for comfort. Overall I think it's good quality for the price and I would definitely recommend it here! read more

This is my second year at USU. I used to live at blue square and I didn't like it. A few of my friends lived here at Oakridge and I decided to live here this year. So far I like it. I like the the rooms they feel homey and I like the pool and the club house the rooming is great. Although it is not student housing they do follow some of the USU regulations like no parties and stuff like that. Other than the that it is a great place to live read more

I really enjoy living at oakridge because it is fairly close to campus, but it's especially close to the football field and the spectrum and I love going to the sporting events! Oakridge is also very good at helping with the needs of the people living here we needed something fixed so we requested it and it got fixed the next day!! It's also a very social environment which tops it all off! I would definitely recommend living here! read more

I have really enjoyed living at Oakridge. I think it is a great price for what you get. A private room, full kitchen, laundry, and utilities and wifi are all included, plus there's a pool/hot tub and a clubhouse with a game room. It's a great atmosphere for college students and is close to campus with a bus stop right outside that can take you up to campus. Overall, it's a great student apartment complex. read more

I really enjoy my time at Oakridge there have been few problems, and any that have come up have been taken care up properly. The staff has been really great to work with, and I have been impressed at the maintenance of the grounds. The laundry room is huge, and the bedrooms are great, and they even have a roku set up with the tv in the living room for all your televised entertainment needs! read more

Oakridge is a great place to live! You get your own room and share a bathroom with a friend! The apartments are well maintained and maintenance quickly and effieciently fixes any problems that occur. There are many amenities including fitness center, clubhouse, free laundry and parking, and best of all, pool and hot tub! read more
