They have a couple of bars in there depending on what shows are on will affect which bars they open. Sometimes the staff are not sure which one is open until told by the evening supervisor. Speaking of bars I was at the venue for a show and with my ticket you were meant to get a discount on wines, beers and spirits, however the bar staff were oblivious to this and it was not until a supervisor came along they knew what was going on. I have been to several productions in this venue from school performances to performances from seasoned actors and have always enjoyed them. They often have art exhibitions in the upper part of the venue and sometimes these are free to view but not always. What I like about the venue is that they have, what I consider to be a friends of Fairfield Halls work force. These people look as though they are retired (apologise if they are not and I am doing them a disservice) who man the stairs and lobby areas directing people to the right areas of the venue for there activity. In terms of parking there is limited parking at the front of the venue which is £5 for an evening stay and I have no idea about the prices during the day. I would say that East Croydon station is a 5/10minute walk dependant on your speed and it is also served by good public transport out front. There is a car park below the venue and I believe you can get discount for parking their when you buy something from one of the concessions within the food area, but I cannot remember which it is, sorry. A good venue to see a show or a tribute band or the local schools production, my it be around forever, as long as I am anyway.

Whilst this was fine and what he said may have had merit, his attitude was pretty poor and egotistical and we left disappointed overall from what would have been a pleasant experience otherwise. In summary, come for the food, stay for the glitzy atmosphere, but avoid the management at all costs.

There's been a pub on the site since at least 1726, when Wallington was but a hamlet: it was originally called Bowling Green House. Between 1726 and 1773, it appears to have acted as a lodging house for travellers, and became the Duke's Head some time between 1740 and 1806. The present building is mid-Victorian and was bought by Young & Bainbridge in 1857, although it had been supplied with Young's beers since before 1832. It is listed at grade II, despite suffering bomb damage during World War II. The pub itself has a rather domestic, whitewashed exterior, with the new hotel extension sitting behind the original pub. The lounge bar interior is reminiscent of the 'roadhouse' style of pub - a large central bar area serving a spacious, multi-roomed interior, with lots of wood panelling, and a mixture of banquette seating and tables. There's a small outdoor drinking area at the front, facing Wallington Green (not quite as picturesque as it sounds, given that the Green is small and bounded on two sides by busy roads), and a large enclosed beer garden at the rear. They serve a couple of Young's Beers and a guest, which on our visit was Courage Directors, alongside Young's Bitter and Special. They do an extensive range of food, from soup, salads (from £7.95), sandwiches (from £4.95), Pizzas (from £7) and more substantial main courses, with daily specials, from around £10-£17. The function rooms are a very popular for wedding receptions, with the added benefit of accommodation for visiting guests on site. The hotel rack rates are pretty hefty (£115 for single and £120 for doubles) but can drop to around £80 for two people sharing a twin room with full English Breakfast if you hunt around on-line. Although very busy, we were served reasonably quickly, although (alas) not with a smile, and a few of the locals were a bit raucous (presumably had been drinking all day). The Young's Special however was in tip-top condition.

This pub has notions; even pubs in Chelsea are not this expensive. How they get away with it in Wallington is anyone's guess.

On the inside, the exhibition floor is around the size of an Olympic pool or maybe a football pitch ("soccer field" to Americans). Very light and airy with a high arching roof. It's located right next to Kensington Olympia Underground station, but Olympia is on a spur that does not get served very well. You might be better to exit the Underground at Kensington High Street and take a bus or taxi. Depending on the event, there may or may not be food offerings. Today for the Unified Communications Expo, there is a coffee and pastries bar in the center of the floor, plus two "permanent" sandwich stores where the prices run towards expensive. No organic wifi, unfortunately. For this event, O2 is here and has set up a social media lounge and provided free access.

Our room was beautiful and we were grateful for the air conditioning. The Tudor Pass restaurant, now helmed by Executive Chef Stefano Du Giosia, had just reopened after a short break, ad we were the first dinner guests under his watch. Maitre d'hotel Chris was a charming conversationalist as we waited for the 7-course tasting dinner, sharing much hotel history with us. The excellent wait staff included Alex, Rose, and Luka who were all truly professional. Stefano came out of the kitchen from time to time to chat with us, explaning the dishes and their origins, as well as describing how closely he and his staff work with the hotel's gardeners to sustainably source vegetables and fruits on site and meats from the best UK regions: local lamb, scallops from Orkney, trout from Chalk Stream, and more. The presentations were lovely and the flavors exquisite. Luxury farm-to-fork! Most of all, the dining experience was friendly and cheerful, not stuffy. We highly recommend The Tudor Pass restaurant, whether you are a guest at Great Fosters or just passing by.

Just 1 week before our arrival, the hotel contacts us to say " so sorry, we are over-booked. Sold out for an event." Bullcrap..... we are getting bounced for an event that will need our suite and bring the hotel more $$$$$. Their " solution" is to move to another resort almost 2 hours away from Heathrow and offered us an airport transfer. NFW- no free night or anything. We will go elsewhere where guests are treated better.

Came here for a conference over 4 days. I used the conference booking and definitely had a nicer…read moreroom than others but there were still a few issues. It's definitely shabby chic with not the best service. This was probably like a Downton abbey place at one point but it's definitely not anymore. The entrance has a hideous car covering so that people don't have to walk in the rain to get into the estate. It's covering a beautiful arch underneath. There are other additions that have marred the architecture and I still want to stay in a true estate in England. The estate is not well known by drivers and many of them had a difficult time finding us. Put the name of the hotel in Uber, not the address. The estate hosts many events on the weekends in the summer. There were two proms and a wedding while we were there. It's not insulated well (it shouldn't be!) so expect to hear music through the evenings on the weekend. The service, especially in the restaurants, was average to poor. I wouldn't stay here if I didn't have to. I'm sure there's better out there.

And the room sizes are bit consistent I paid for a large executive room and ended up with a double bed and small size room to then be told I've been charged for breakfast when I never had breakfast. But all is not that bad as I have stayed here a few times and still have not had a chance to check out their health spa but the bar is nice and the toilets are really snazzy! Thought I have stayed in lovely rooms where it is very large and a lovely view of the golf course. The breakfast here is a buffet and my only issue is they do not have vegetarian sausages or big glasses for juices or water. The hotel needs to be updated a bit as there are old TVs and you only have 6 channels and the place needs a good paint/rewallpapering - sorry it just looks a but dated.
