Dishonest establishment. Website advises kids eat free with a purchase of an "entree". Called ahead and confirmed kids eat free with a purchase of a main, so made a reservation. Went to order and waiter (Ragu) did not advise that burger and fries, Philly cheesesteak and fries, wings and fries, steak sandwich and fries and supreme pizza off the dinner menu are not considered entrees by the restaurant even though he knew we asked if kids ate free Sundays. We didn't learn those were not considered entrees until the bill arrived and the kids meals were not deducted. We will not be returning. Absolutely dishonest, I won't be spending my money here ever again. read more

March 26/2022: This visit was part of a music festival that was underway at the time. Nice restaurant with a large menu. Place was very busy at time of visit. Ordered the cauliflower bites & the fish tacos. Cauliflower was very tasty. The tacos on the other hand didn't have much taste as all. The fish was cod I was told but you can't tell when it's battered like mine was. I'd go again if I'm in the area but wouldn't make this a destination. read more

Found them on ubereats and it's our go-to! Their pizzas are THE BEST. I love the texture, flavours and they load on the toppings. So filling and so delicious. Also, I love their pulled-pork sandwich!! If you are feeling extra fancy... substitute for truffle fries. read more

A nice patio to sit for some drinks and relax. We went in the afternoon after the lunch rush so it wasn't busy. We got a table right away and the staff were friendly. In addition to the drinks, we ordered some appetizers and desserts to share. The funnel cake fries were definitely the highlight of the entire meal. It was so tasty that we ate the entire thing within minutes even though we were both so full. Definitely would get it again the next time I'm here. Everything else was good, but nothing really stood out. In terms of prices, I thought it was pretty standard for the type of food and for the portions. Overall I had a good experience and will consider coming back for a full meal next (and also to get more funnel cake fries)! read more

My friend introduced us to this restaurant. Wednesday was half price wings with the purchase of a drink. The restaurant had a bar, and many tv screens around so you can watch the games. We ordered 2 different 1/2 wings , sweet chilli and honey garlic. Then we ordered the T-bone steak which was $28. After we tried the lava cake with ice and vanilla crepe brulle both $9 each. Not bad! This is a nice looking restaurant-lounge on a main stretch in Stouffville. When we walked in at around 6pm on a Saturday, it was not very busy but most tables were filled with families. The restaurant is large, featuring modern decor, large TVs playing sports and a big bar. There was a DJ playing loud music which was a bit off-putting, I'm not sure what vibe they were going for but for 6pm dinner it wasn't ideal for an early dinner where most of the clientele was families and elderly people. We were sat in a booth which was great, the table tops were electronic touch screens which were cool but weren't very functional. They were also very warm to the touch which isn't great for cold drinks. The menu is classic bar food with an upscale twist. However the food was really quite mediocre. I had fish and chips which were very heavily battered, think a quarter of an inch of batter all around. The fish was a bit dry leading me to believe it was previously frozen. I substituted my fries for onion rings which were really good, however also quite heavy. My friends had the oakside burger which they weren't super impressed with, they said it was average and under-seasoned. Fries were good however. My friend also got the fish tacos which she enjoyed but they looked mediocre, topped with bagged coleslaw mix. We also got the calamari to share and it was quite good. The one plus and only reason I would return is for the cheap drinks. Frozen cocktails and regular cocktails are around $6.50 and were delicious! Definitely a plus to dining out in the suburbs compared to Toronto. These are easily $10-$15 drinks in Toronto. Service was OK. Our server was very friendly, however not the most helpful when it came to asking for recommendations. When I asked about drinks she wasn't sure what to recommend. Prices are super reasonable, again, drinks under $10 were a big bonus! Overall I would come back for drinks and appetizers but probably not for a full sit-down meal as I found the food to be underwhelming. It's a decent option, however stouffville is home to some great up and coming restaurants so I may give those a try before returning! read more

Given that we are in another round of lockdown, this is a review based on an Uber eats delivery order. Though there are various specials if you pick up the order yourself :) Overall, the food was good - obviously not as great as dine-in fresh would be but the food was the appropriate temperatures and nothing was soggy. Just a little bit pricey with all the Uber eats fees. Ordered on a recent Saturday evening - our order arrived reasonably quickly. Rundown: - Mighty Mac burger: their version of a Big Mac (it's pretty close) but gigantic. There is no way anyone can fit all layers in their mouth at once haha. Upgraded our regular fries to the truffle ones - lightly truffled, with a little bit of Parmesan on top. Crisp shoestring fries. This was good, but not the best - I prefer other versions from around town: the Z burger from Zeal burgers and the truffle Parmesan fries from the Smokery. - Greek village salad: a nice hearty Greek salad on what I believe is homemade hummus. Good seasoning. The crispy cracker pieces were a nice touch. Could have used a touch more olives (there were only 4 and my kids commandeered 3 of them), feta and red onions (though I will say the red onions were cut nice and thin, which I find easier to eat) - Mac n cheese: penne in a cheesy sauce with nice big pieces of bacon in it and sweet caramelized onions. Lightly breadcrumbed at the top. Still hot even after sitting at our table for a while. Very tasty - simple but done well - a winner with the kids too. - Crispy Brussels sprouts (has nuts - I think peanuts): one of the better versions I've had in recent times. Charred, but not burnt. Not dried out. I don't know if this version had balsamic vinegar but if it did, it was not overpowering like in other versions I've had. Maybe just a touch too sweet (I think that was from the Thai sweet chili sauce). There was a drizzle of white something across the top - I think maybe a soft fresh cheese sauce? I have been here a handful of times. Service is pretty good, the place is clean and the food is fine. Its a great place to grab some food and carry on a conversation for a small group. We were here for an early dinner with a large group of people. The service was excellent and food was well executed. I was surprised to see that there were some daily specials that they offered. We were here on a Thursday night which meant it was the ribs and wings combo for $15. Despite the special, I ordered a fried chicken burger and added truffle fries for an extra fee. To be honest, I had very low expectations for this burger and simply ordered it because I was craving some fried chicken. The fried chicken was cooked to perfection but the star of the show had to have been the truffle fries. Something about truffle really highlights crispy potatoes. The punch of flavour gave the meal an extra fun factor. Overall, the night went well and food was excellent. I would recommend this place for a large party. Our first and only experience was a takeout order. My boyfriend and I ordered some appetizers (onion rings, Mac and cheese bites) and halibut fish and chips. We first attempted to place an order via the website, but an error message at checkout left us stumped so I called in the order. I mentioned to the woman on the phone that the website was giving us trouble, and she laughed it off and said the online ordering probably wasn't "on" yet. After placing our order via the phone, I was quoted 30 minutes for pick up. Upon arriving home with our food, there were a few issues right away. First and foremost, it was clear that our food was ready much sooner than the 30 min I was quoted on the phone, as there was a sogginess to the food which is indicative that it was sitting enclosed in its own steam and condensation; Fries were floppy, onion rings had no crisp and the batter on the fish was spongey. The food was not hot. Not to say the food was cold, but it was minimally warm; I imagine it was hot initially, considering the aforementioned sogginess due to condensation. The halibut was extremely dry (which leads me to suspect that it's possibly frozen,) the batter was not crispy and was more cake-like, which I've never experienced with fish and chips anywhere before. When I placed the order, the woman I spoke with took my name and phone number. There was no point in taking my number if communication regarding my food wasn't going to be made. Many other restaurants in town that I've ordered from call you if your order is ready sooner. All in all, we were very disappointed with this meal, and there was much food waste. A real shame, as our order came out to more than $50 for sub-par food and on top of that, we will likely have to eat something else at home later because what we did manage to eat was not filling. I went there with my 5 yr old daughter for dinner the bill was around 70$ we asked for a take out container and packed our food put on our jackets and unfortunately forgot our food on the table . Called back in 45 min and they said they tossed it and it was my fault . I asked the manger if they could offer me anything as I didn't eat the mushy chicken sandwich and he said no its not his issue . My son had a basketball practice in Stouffville so had 2hrs to kill and checked out Oakside. The staff at Oakside are so friendly and attentive. The owner Felix came and introduced himself to me. The wings are amazing every time. While we usually have takeout we went after the Jays game in Stouffville and the girl while it was her second day was great. My husband was a little surprised that his pork chop meal did not come with any veggies just garlic mash however he did enjoy it nonetheless. We will definitely be back. read more
