The solutions I received from Bri-Tech for a complete home rewiring and living room sound system…read moreworked out well on so many levels of satisfaction (style, functionality, convenience, and more), as Bri-Tech hit a home run in the work they did as a key vendor in the remodeling of our home. Brian worked well with the architect in tweaking features of the high ceilings to improve sound and lighting. Brian's team did great work on all the details of every one of 17 rooms, half of these rooms had unusually shaped high ceilings to create an effect of larger rooms and/or hide wi-fi hubs and LED lighting. No matter easy or challenging rooms, all the rooms are great. For the sound system, Brian recommended an Integra system with B&W speakers that sound so much better than the receiver I was eyeing at Best Buy / Magnolia. He was able to explain to me why the system I so carefully researched, although power efficient, wasn't going to come close in sound quality as the Integra. Not only in his show room, but in my home, the sound was superb. I didn't think music could sound so good, especially the streaming music that is sampled low but so easy to play without handling media. It's amazing the sound from Pandora or an iPod could be sound SO GOOD! The home automation and electrical work (my entire home was wired for security, electrical, lighting, and sound) is superb in every detail. For example the placement of lights in the ceiling by Rich is symmetrical despite vents and architectural angling competing for ceiling space. Rich's great work including many recommended improvements for placement of lights and setup of lighting switches in each room. Brian came up with a hip asymmetrical placement of lights in my daughter's room that really made me a hero. In each case the changes didn't affect cost, it was just made the funds I was already spending result in a great rather than good lighting solution. For automation, the lighting controls for my outside yards are under scene control from any of our six doors, so that you can turn them all on or off from any door, plus each door has buttons dedicated to providing just enough light for normal use. With over 12 circuits and 40 bulbs under microprocessor control, using the lights are actually easier than the 10 bulbs and associated switches it replaced. The panel in my bedroom assured me they were all off at night, and if I miss that, turn off automatic at midnight and sunrise. With automation, I now never have lights left on all night and all day due to user error. Top notch work all the way. Thank you Brian, Rich, and Josh. Huntington, NY

And like people of similar age and disposition, I have been keen to explore the reputed glories of HD/digital television. But I was scared. Intimidated by the mare's nest of wires and cables in my present set-up, which includes TiVo, a satellite box, and two different media players. Intimidated when I visited the big-box stores on 86th Street and wandered lonely as a cloud through serried ranks of massive flat screens. I consulted friends and relatives: some who had installed HDTV, a nephew who produces digital videos, a friend who runs the best high-end DVD company. From them I came away with a feeling as to which HDTV sets would best suit me - but my basic yearning had not been fulfilled, which was for a total "turnkey" job that would involve dealing with one vendor/installer, and one only, and at the end of the process would have everything up and running - both technically and within the limits of my comprehension. The idea of "Geek Squads" or "Firedogs" or other installation subsets of big-box retailers bothered me. If something went wrong, I didn't want to find myself swinging like a confused chimpanzee from the branches of a phone tree. I wanted one number to call, one person to deal with. I heard about a website called Cedia, an acronym for the association of high-end sales & installation firms in New York City. I searched the site for firms within 10 miles of where I live in DUMBO, in the shadow of the Brooklyn Bridge. From the listings that came up, I recognized several. A couple - famous names - I had dealt with, and the experience had been OK, but not more than that: often impersonal, occasionally condescending, always expensive. Then I happened on a website that immediately struck me for the intelligence of its written presentation and the excellent aesthetic-qualities of its graphics. So I picked up the phone, and that is how I got to know Hy Haddad of HDH Intelligent Technologies Corporation. Hy proved to be smart and personable. That afternoon, he came over, sized up my "facility" and made certain recommendations. That these concurred with what my "pro" friends had advised was grounds for confidence. I asked for references. His principal customer bloc happens to be a bunch of people I know through a relative to be as demanding and perfection-requiring as any I can think of. That was good enough for me. And Hy's prices were fully competitive with 86th Street. As I write, it is roughly a week since I called Hy Haddad. Last night, his two-man crew, both intelligent and well-spoken, appeared with the works. When they left, everything was working perfectly. Including a universal remote that required five minutes to master. I may never leave my loft; I have never been happier.
