Poorest excuse of a mall I've ever seen. This place might as well be a breeding ground for Dirty Mike and the Boys for all I'm concerned. From the outside things look a little promising with a relatively good looking building with some name brand stores like Sears and JC Pennies catching your eye. Upon walking inside however you are sucked through a wormhole to the set of living dead and find the mall to be almost completely empty. The employees swarm onto you like zombies due to the fact you're the first customer they have seen in years. The good court is probably the sorriest sight looking at the 10 spaces of which 4 are occupied. There was a Chic-fil-a that used to be a shinning beacon of hope for this place but they have since abandoned ship and created their own building. The only reason one might come to the mall now a days is to see the sadness for yourself or to maybe catch a flick at the worst theater of all time. read more

OK.. due to town loyalty you will have to let me ramble a minute.... When this mall was built I was in 6th grade i think. It had tons of stores and was a very popular hangout back then. We spent every Friday night at the mall and movies. Some of the many good stores in Oakwood Mall we have said goodbye to: The Gap, Gadzooks, Waldenbooks, Aeropostle, Disc Jockey, KB Toys, Maurices, Stage, Newmans, The Closet, Hot Line Shoes, Casual Corner, REX, Finish Line, Foot Locker, Hallmark, Service Merchandise... Today there are only a handful of quality stores, Dillards, JC Penneys, Buckle, Vanity, Famous Footwear, Gamestop, even the new Jasmine boutique, the rest of the mall is either empty or just frankly not worth talking about... The Food Court: After the departure of the delicious Cheese Shoppe, Orange Julius, Corn Dog on a Stick, and various Asian places, the food court was still the strong point (if any) of our mall w Chick-fil-a, Katy's Pantry, Combo King, Sabarro's Pizza, and the Cookie Company, but even Katy's has relocated now and rumors of Chick-Fil-a moving are swirling around also. I have to mention how I miss the short-lived, but delicious Taco Picante also. YUMMO!! O and the Move Theater.... Only 6 screens i think, but some good choices usually. However, they are famous for breaking down right in the middle of a great part of a movie! I heard changes were coming? Hope that is true this time... Ok, so i took a trip down Memory Lane, but here's my point. PLEASE someone rescue Oakwood Mall!! Somebody! ANYBODY!?? Return it to me the way I found it years ago!! Or better yet, research other malls and how they do it and make it better!! Maybe charge less rent, fill up the stores, give us some solid places to spend our money so we can stop spending all of it in OKC!! I have to believe that this can be done!! I have faith in you!! Wow. This mall is horrible. When I moved here I walked through it once, from end to end it took 5 minutes (not 6. 5.) and I never once passed another shopper. The reason I give this 'mall' 2 stars and not ZERO is because it has Sears, JcPennys and Dillards. Although the regular clothing at these stores are definitely not geared towards 20-30 year olds....their dress selections (professional/semi/formal) are actually pretty decent for Enid. After my first walk through, I decided there would probably never be a reason to walk through the entire mall again. And then I found one! To show my husband why I don't want to walk through it again. HA! I guess the only 2 normal stores of note would be famous footwear and bath and body works, but to me, it's not worth it even for those. Maybe they can hold ghost tours for halloween here. read more

This a the skeleton mall in Enid, Oklahoma. It has a few quality stores and is a good place to walk when it is raining or snowing or cold. Love the non crowded leisure walkways. I think the owner might do well if the rent wasn't so high. read more

I was looking for a reason to give this place a two stars, but I just could not find a reason. I visited this mall a couple of times in 2011 when I lived in Enid and it is just as bad then as it was when I visited in 2016, if not worse now. There are literally no stores open, and of those stores that are open you have to basically question whether or not it is open, because no one is in the mall. It is a sad excuse for a mall and honestly needs to be shut down. If you are in the area I would advise you to drive the hour and a half to go to OKC mall or even check out Broken Arrow mall. I mean, when you are at a mall during what should be the busiest shopping time of the year, and you have to question whether or not the mall is open or closed, that is sad. Hopefully this place will be demolished soon, because I can only say that the businesses that are in the mall are paying a ridiculous rental fee for the lack of businesses that are in the mall. Sad place, almost feels like you are walking through the desert. Even the food court is pathetic. When every other store is closed, it looks really unappealing and makes you question if something is wrong with the food. Stay away, do not waste your time or money, because fact of the matter is that you probably will not find what you need anyway. read more

This is the only mall in northwest Oklahoma and whoever runs it ran it straight into the ground there's like 3 or 4 stores in the entire mall Walmart have more restaurants then the food court at Oakwood mall in Enid Oklahoma don't waste your time read more

If it wasn't completely empty and only like 10 active businesses, this would definitely be the place to go and explore. There is word of a new owner, hopefully he/she brings this place back into action! That'll definitely bring Enid out of the woodworks. read more

The era of the mall is going the way of the the VHS tape. Never more so is this evident than with Oakwood mall. Walled up retail and vacant space among the little mom and pop shops that hold on desperately. If something should happen to one of the two anchor stores the whole mall will slide beneath the waves of history. There's talk of transforming the mall into a outlet like outdoor mall. I fail to see how this would bring new tenants that are not coming now. Yes the era of the mall has jumped the shark, just stroll through Oakwood and see. read more

When I first moved to Enid I needed internet access so I went to this mall to use the internet. That was my first impression of Enid, and it's a pretty accurate representation of the entire town. The entire place looks abandonded and no one seems to care. The employees take no pride in their jobs. It's rundown- there's no food places in the food court. I went there on another occasion because I was excited to play paintball at the paintball place.. only to realize that they completely got rid of paintball and only have lasertag for kids now. read more

Sigh. What more can I say that hasn't already been said about the Oakwood Mall. In its prime, I am sure it was a fabulous mall. Sadly, we are far from its days of glory. The anchor stores are clinging on for dear life, which we are thankful for. A few chain retailers still exist (the Buckle, Bath and Body Works, etc) but who knows for how long. And a few local shops continue to occupy space. The food court and movie theater seem to be the only real draws to this place. And both of those could use a few improvements. But I am giving it a 5-star rating anyway in hopes that some good Yelp mojo might send a few retailers our way and rescue our mall from this retail graveyard. read more

Honestly, I don't know why people say they get their hair done or cut at this mall... I went to the store called "Regis" to get my hair cut and they did an awful job. I even showed them a picture and my hair ended up being nothing close to the picture. read more

Oakwood Mall is a shining example of what a mall should not be. After stagnation, Enid is on as much of an upswing as one can ask for in such an area. The mall went into complete free-fall and has shown no signs of revival. Quite a few storefronts have been walled off to hide how terrible the renting situation is. Several merchants have mentioned that the rent is simply too high to justify when there is so much space available in town. Aside from the anchor stores, there are few significant draws to the mall. The food court has become a miserable shadow of what it once was. Only Great American Cookies and Chick-Fil-A have persevered over the past few years, the latter of which is prepared to move to an external building nearby quite soon. Chen Garden is a pretty decent place, but it's the restaurant inside the mall style, not food court stall style. The arcade is a pitiful run down excuse of a game room consisting of far too many broken machines, worn down ticket redemption games, horrifyingly out of date prize games, and a surprisingly good condition Steel Talons machine from 1991 which has occupied the same spot for over twenty years. There has been talk of a "de-malling" project which would tear down the existing structure and replace the air conditioned interior with something more along the lines of a strip mall. Despite there being potential to run a decent mall in an expanding Enid, the only common complaint about this suggestion is that it would deprive the senior citizen community of a climate controlled facility well suited for walking. If this place is still standing in five years, I will be amazed. There's so much that could be done, but the investment required and reclaiming of reputation involved means it would take one very dedicated and capable group to re-invent Oakwood Mall. It will be a bit of a shame to see the mall go, but at the same time it is pulling the plug on a shopping center that has been on barely sufficient life support for years. read more

I am giving this mall 2 stars mostly because of the businesses that have stuck it out in spite of the owners obviously not wanting this mall to succeed. They won't lower the rent to promote businesses coming in. If more businesses were there more people would shop there which in turn would promote more stores opening. It's not rocket science so one has to wonder why the owners can't figure it out. Oh wait, is it perhaps that this mall was built as a loss for the corporation? Anyway, I applaud the core stores and the others who have stuck it out. Chen Garden is amazing for the buffet and the hibachi cooking. Don't forget Bath and Body works too. Always amazing smells. Ruth's Christian Bookstore, Great American Cookie and the movie theater have stuck it out also. I believe the only reason Chick-Fil-A and Zales have left is because they were told the mall was going to transform into a strip mall which now I hear is not the case. It saddens me to see that this mall has gone so far downhill that I'm not sure there's any recovery for it. read more
