I was referred to this amazingly clean, professional, caring & really on top of their business office by my primary doctor for an appointment/check up with a Dr. Asgeri. When I showed up for my appt I arrived about 15min earlier than our scheduled time and was able to be seen early. Which is this day and age, given the climate doesn't ever happen. Dr. Asgeri was very informative, knowledgeable and answered all of my questions and concerns. I was scheduled for a procedure this upcoming April and I received a phone call this morning from Cynthia. She told me that my medical insurance was about to be terminated on April 1st. This was definitely not an April fools joke... I called 3 different inductance companies and they all don't understand why it's going to be terminated... I will resolve that issue on my owns the point that I'm making is that I would not have even known that my insurance was about to have a lapse of any sort of it wasn't for her phone call. The office got on top of my situation immediately and pushed my procedure up a week earlier so that I can get the treatment and care ASAP! This again shows how wonderful this staff and office is! The staff has been more than helpful is so many ways. So I have to give the ladies a great shout out... Cynthia, Angie, Veronica, Esther, Maritza & Alejandra are all a breath of fresh air!!!! I don't usually look forward to procedures but I'm very excited to get this one done because I know that I am in great hands. I will post/review again after the procedure! Palm Desert location-First appt was great- everyone very nice, scheduled two procedures easily. But. The day before my first procedure I was told the facility didn't take my insurance. I rearranged my schedule for it. Why was this not checked before? Anyway, the office said they'd call to see if a different facility would take me and call me right back. Nothing. Two weeks later when my other procedure was supposed to happen, same thing. Day before I was told they didn't take my insurance. Yeah no kidding. That couldn't have been followed through either? A different person assured me they would contact the other facility to confirm that could take me and help schedule. I explained to her that was the same thing I was told weeks ago and never called back. I was assured she'd follow up. Of course, nothing. At all. I do not have time to make sure other people do their job. I have my own jobs and kids to balance. So here I am still without a procedure that I was told I absolutely needed. Thanks a lot. Have to start over from scratch. Waste of time with added frustration. Don't go here. read more

I went to see Dr Asgeri after the Cologuard came back positive in January. I was really worried. At my first appointment he said I think we are going to find a polyp here as he pointed to a chart on the wall. Well he was correct. The procedure at the surgery center was beyond organized and professional. The doctor is very professional, very caring and explains things and eases your fears. The staff is great. The phone system does have a menu but my calls are answered. The office is clean. I found the staff from the receptionist, the nurses and to the scheduler to be very helpful and professional. I do not write reviews often but felt this needed to be heard. I would and do recommend Oasis Advanced Gastroenterology. read more

Had appointments and procedures with dr asgeri. Followup was with his physicians assistant. Now cant even get them to pick up the phone for a refill for my prescription. He doesn't seem to care about follow up now that expensive procedures are done! read more

Nightmare, the office manager will have 6 voice mails over 7 days and never return your call. Weeks go by and even Medicare has flagged this office. Waiting room filled with patients who sit for 2 hours (because they all have the same appointment at the same time! Reception is useless. Writing a letter to the Medical Board on this guy. read more

Absolutely a nightmare to get any help from office staff. Either your on hold or they did not do what they said they were going to do. Most of the time they don't even answer the phone. Leaving messages is a waste of time. This place gets 0 stars from me. read more

First of all like most negative reviews here discuss the office staff. The office staff is horrible. And you count on them for return calls and getting you a message to the doctor. I have left several messages and never got a call back until they wanted to schedule my very expensive colonoscopy. I told the person wanting to schedule it that I have not even gotten the results of my earlier colonoscopy. I did not get any discharge information from my consultation about what the recommendations were. And she said she would get the office manager to reach out to me. That did happen many days later. The office manager could not answer any of the questions... Because nothing was documented about it. His scribe that was working with me should not be allowed to take dictation for him. As someone who works in the healthcare field, she was unqualified to be there. I mentioned that to the office manager. She did not have anything to say about it. She suggested I have a phone consultation with the doctor and she scheduled that and he called me, actually on a Sunday. He answered my questions appropriately. No one could tell me why I did not get any written instructions or details about what I needed to do. I think Dr. Asgeri a very competent doctor. Most of the staff in the office need to learn how to do their job. It's sad when you have to go to another doctor, not because of the doctor, but because of incompetent office staff. read more

Had to call 3 times, leaving messages twice only wanting the results that they said the nurse could give me. No, I have to have a telemedicine appointment at the next available, 7/11/21, a Sunday right? Get a call on 6/25/21, doctor wants to move appointment to 7/25/21. All I need is the results. I called Oasis Advanced Gastro to make an appointment. Nobody answered the phone. I got a recording that said to leave a message and somebody would call me back the next business day. I left very careful and thorough information for a callback. No one ever called me back. I believe the reviews on here about their office being non-functional and incompetent. My take is that the positive reviews are fake. read more

Had a magical time. Staff cut through some much in so little time. Was assured that my tests showed no major internal bleeding, so that put to rest all my fears of the internal bleeding I had for 4 months prior. Was also assured there's no way I had cancer without me even asking about it! Because I was 43 and not 45. What a relief! And, on my way out, after asking my nurse about transmitting anything I was diagnosed with beforehand, was assured that my colonoscopy in 2 weeks would keep everyone I came in contact with prior free clear! I've been waiting over 40 minutes for my scheduled appointment. There's another guy who's been waiting over an hour. Not sure why the delay but my time is money too. I took off of work early to have a consultation. I'll probably just leave. They should schedule appointments properly. read more

The website claims same-day or next-day appointments. When I called, the live receptionist put me through to an answering machine to leave my information to be called back. That was four days ago. I ended up going to Eisenhower urgent care and got a referral to a surgeon there. This place was nothing but a waste of time for me. read more

Unfortunately I have to add to the one star reviews. Let me say, up front, THE ACTUAL COLONOSCOPY PERFORMED BY DR. ASGERI WAS GREAT. It was done at El Mirador Surgery Center and the procedure was very professional (I've had a couple colonoscopies before). However, dealing with the office is an absolute nightmare! Multiple calls to schedule the procedure were put on hold for 10+ minutes and/or sent to a voicemail with no return call. Had to reconfirm the referral with Kaiser. It took 3 months to schedule it. After the procedure, the report said to follow up in 3 weeks for "study results." I called today and, again, was put on hold for 10+ minutes. Then someone came on and COULDN'T FIND MY CHART! She kept asking me if I had actually had a procedure done by Dr. Asgeri. Then she said there were two charts with my name and birth date. I said that didn't give me much confidence. Then was put on hold for another 5 minutes for a nurse to come on and LITERALLY READ ME THE REPORT I HAD RECEIVED 3 WEEKS BEFORE. He's a great doctor but the office is terrible.
