The class started with a warm up which is very good at reducing injuries. The movements and strikes were explained in detail and then demonstrated. Students were carefully observed and given feedback on how they were performing. Praise if doing well and helpful critique if they needed improvement. There was an positive atmosphere in the class and everyone worked together as a team. I immediately signed up after observing the class. They do not lock you into a long term contract. You can go month to month if you'd like. That was refreshing. Their rates are very reasonable for the quality of instruction you are receiving. I went to my first class the next day and received excellent instruction on striking and defense. It was a very good workout as well as teaching self defense and the art of Muay Thai. I will be a student here for a long time. F.Y.I. - they also offer a cardio kickboxing class that'll get you in shape quickly. Give them a try, I highly recommend it.

My daughter is someone that likes her personal space so an adjustment for her is allowing someone up and close and personal lol but she's adjusting just fine, the owner is very nice as well kids extra curricular activities are expensive... what I like about this facility is their not tryna take your money they want to make sure this is something your child wants to do... and even when they get started they check in with you asking you how does your child liking the class. I first met Andre who was very welcoming, humble, and has an eagerness to help. I didn't know he was the owner until I saw his picture on the wall and was pleasantly surprised at his welcoming attitude. As a beginner with no BJJ experience, I've been in the Fundamentals 1 class training with Professor Sabio. He is also humble, approachable, and has a teachers heart. He leads by example, keeps the class on task, and is knowledgeable. The leadership style breeds good attitude and relationships throughout the gym making a great experience! He shows up everyday with great energy and a smile on his face, and you can tell how much he loves to work with them. My children have become come confident in the short time they've been going and they have so much fun every class. I've enjoyed watching so much that I've stayed for a couple adult classes myself. Jackson is just as attentive with his adult students. He is great at meeting you where you are and working with you to be your best. I was nervous, but not once have I felt uncomfortable or lost in one of his classes. His passion exudes from him and it is inspiring. I know everyone who steps into the gym is in great hands with him.

At the end of this course, most participants go on to join SRC as either recreational and/or as competitive crew rowers. For assuring safety and for good learning of foundational skills, we suggest people take this course only if they can participate in at least 90% of the first 25-30 hours of class. After that, the basic skills are learned and although continuous attendance is encouraged, it is anticipated that some practices will be missed during this four-month period. These are not the coaches who claim…read morethey know what they are doing from watching some youtube videos and all of a sudden they are masters of their craft. These coaches have been around the game for a long time and have helped kids better their craft in their sport. From Dave with his pitching lessons, to Eddie with hitting, to Rod with catching this place is great. The facility itself I would guess is close to 5500 square feet. 3 cages, 2 pitching lanes, and a warm up area when its all being used. Secure area for parents to watch. Large parking area and secure. Definitely a place for solo or team use!!!
