I got into OC at 2005 and was told by Primos they closed at 2000 and wouldn't serve me. So I wanted to try Fast Eddie's and went there. Lex checked to see if it ok to grab something to eat and let me in since it was empty and they were cleaning up. They were so nice and I know it was slow but they gave great service and the smash burger was great. Tonight was a late dinner so I walked over and was happy to find out on Sundays their happy hour specials are all day (at least right now) so I got buffalo wings (they were very large) and a smash burger with a side of onion rings. They were all amazing. Paige was there again and I mentioned the other night to Erika and how great it is to have customer service at that caliber. Definitely check this place out.

We arrived around 6 on a Saturday night and the place is busy (it always is). We are greeted in an ok time, it took longer than ever before (and we've been there when it's been busier). The young lady greeted us, took our order and left. We ordered boneless wings, fries, crab cakes, and soup. She came back about 5 mins later and said they sold out of crab cakes. I get it's the off season, but there really is no off season at Fast Eddies. So we ordered something significantly cheaper from the menu. When the food came out, it was just ok. My boneless wings were way overdone and the crab burger was just ok. When the check came, it seemed to be a little high, like she never adjusted the pricing from the crab cake dinner. We never received the itemized receipt and after she dropped the slip to sign, we didn't see her again. So we just signed the receipt and left, as we had plans to get to. I don't know if we'll be back to be completely honest.

I asked & was happy the special spicy sauce I loved to combine with the fries was still available under a different name, Texas sauce. I will say, my sandwich was much better than in "the old days" because this was made with actual carved turkey thick slices as opposed to thin cold cut turkey from prior ownership. I was a happy camper! My hubby tried something new to him at Whiskers, he had a chicken cheesesteak sub and was pleasantly surprised and impressed to find it was not finely chopped up chicken, but cut up grilled chicken chunks with nicely sautéed onions. We were happy to return, pleased to find that good quality & taste was still there and its what we were used to after almost 15 years of frequenting here. To clarify, we ordered both a French Dip and a steak entrée. The mashed potatoes came with the steak. We ordered an IPA, but a Jameson whiskey was brought to our table. We chose not to send it back. As for the food, I found the French Dip disappointing. The beef appeared overcooked, and after trying a bite, I decided not to continue eating it. The au jus was also much saltier than I prefer. My husband shared his steak entrée with me, and while the steak was okay, we found the mashed potatoes salty as well. I understand that concerns are best addressed during the meal, but we are generally not the type to complain or send food back. My review was simply an honest reflection of our experience that evening. I sincerely wish you and your business continued success.
