The curriculum was shallow and uninventive, delivered in a manner that left students disengaged and unchallenged. Rather than cultivating intellectual growth, the school seemed content with mediocrity, offering little more than repetitive instruction and an atmosphere utterly devoid of passion or purpose. Ms. Kris revealed herself to be inept and apathetic, lacks all empathy. She characterizes herself with disarray, inconsistent policies, and an alarming absence of accountability. Communication with both students and parents was muddled at best, leaving many to navigate confusion without proper support or guidance. Cape Academy in 2020 was not a place of learning, but rather a hollow institution more concerned with appearances than with genuine education. For anyone seeking academic rigor, intellectual enrichment, or even a competent structure, the experience I endured makes clear that Cape Academy falls woefully short. Do not send your child here, especially with Ms. Kris being so biased, unprofessional, and chauvinistic. I thank my ASL and forensics teacher for making my insufferable experience manageable. The school district of Lee County is very, very good. They do the best with what they have due to…read morethe declining enrollment due to the exodus of people OUT of Cape Coral in the current housing depression. I have heard nothing but good things about them and they even have busses that come and pick up the kids in the mornings unlike my neighborhood in San Jose where you have to drive them everywhere. And the kids don't have to be at school until around 9:00 because Lee County knows that kids don't learn as well early in the morning as they do after some wake-up time. If I had kids, I would seriously consider moving back to Florida to school my kids because of the schools, the schools attitudes and the excellent sports programs that go on year round. I don't see many fat kids in Cape Coral like I do in San Jose.
