Let's start with the neon sign that draws you in: a vibrant pink illuminating the words Oaxaca Te Amo, not only is this true for the city but for this gem of a restaurant. Our server, Sandra, was beyond excellent, always smiling, hustling, and ensuring that we were satisfied with each dish presented to us. It was Feliz Hour so one margarita quickly became two, no problem!
We were seated in a room that fit 7 people and room for a bag or two. We like it intimate and we like each other, so we were all set. We shared our plates of mole, pork, but the lengua tacos were not to be divided and conquered. I got one, and then another, the best I've ever had and I've had a lot.
Dinner was followed by brownies and cream, as well as guava cheese pie topped with jamaica sauce.
An amazing experience for our first night in Oaxaca, and yes, Te Amo. read more
