The restrooms are clean and so eco friendly. Loved their two authentication process of checking passengers. Overall, very good airport. Make sure if you are in Munich city allow yourself 3 hours before the flight because it takes 45 mins to get here .

For an airport serving a major international city like Munich, I expected significantly better organization and service.

Overview: flew to Munich bc of a flight change to transfer to Paris, large airport with lots of…read morestores and food available, not as efficient as I was expecting ---- Flew on Lufthansa which was great, then had to transfer to another gate to get to my flight to Paris. At the customs check in area it was a bit confusing and not super efficient. There were two lines one with pre-registered passports on the right and non-registered. They had registration kiosks available for people to do it "quicker" however the non-registered passport line ended up moving a lot quicker! I think this was due to the higher number of employees working on the other side compared to the pre-registration one (like 5 vs 2 or 3). It was kind of a waste of time to pre-register especially when their line was moving slower. I eventually switched to the non registered line and it moved wayyyy quicker. There are lots of bathrooms and seats available to sit at each gate. The airport also has plenty of good options that appeal to a wide audience... like their soft pretzels! ---- Overall: except for the inefficient line mishap, this airport was spick and span, no other complaints

I was in Europe recently and Munich airport was the main hub I used when traveling between Germany…read moreand Italy. It was also my entry into the Schengen zone, which was a headache trying to get through the registration quick and efficiently. The signage at best is vague and at worst is confusing. The airport personnel in that area appeared to be overwhelmed by the traffic jam and numerous people asking questions. After the electronic registration, you have to go through a manual document review and passport stamping (which was supposed to go away due to the EES). Nothing was working as intended and a group of us were corralled and taken to a different area/floor. Thankfully, we had a generous layover and this was more annoying than anything else. HOWEVER, if you have a tight layover, you may potentially miss your flight as the airport is HUGE and you'll constantly see people running to their connecting flight. In fact, you may even get knocked over as I nearly did several times. On the positive side, there are lots of shops and restaurants to choose from and they have pretty good quality offerings. You'll even find a few Biergartens. You'll still be paying airport prices, but the options are there. Not my first and probably not the last time I'll visit this airport. Until we meet again MUC!
