I was in a car…read moreaccident 9 months ago and completed an entire treatment plan of chiropractic adjustments at a different practice until they said I was on "maintenance" even though I was still having severe neck pain, fatigue and numbness on left side of my face with headaches. I did a treatment plan of Physical therapy which helped some, but still did not resolve all of my symptoms. I was at my wits end when I called and scheduled with McAlpine chiro. For the first time since my accident, I finally felt heard and could sense his genuine compassion and eagerness to want to help me. After the first two adjustments I already had relief from the pain that I had for 8 months. Soon my mood improved, my extreme fatigue started to go away, and the pain was minimal. For 8 months my whole life was on pause. I was a completely different person. Once I went to McAlpine Chiro, I started making plans for activities with my family again! Going on bike rides, and making plans to participate in all the things I used to enjoy. Dr. De Young saved my summer. I had an awful 8 months missing out on downhill skiing and ice hockey on the pond with my family, and now feel renewed and refreshed and back to my active fun loving self again. They took me in as quickly as they could, and were comforting and pleasant seeing I was in lower back pain. Dr. Ben DeYoung is wonderful. After x-rays, an assessment of my pain areas, he completely explained what he needed to do to help me. He is a good listener and takes his time with patients, giving them individual care with no rushed feeling. After a few treatments, I'm happy to report, I'm in good shape. I also do yoga and continued with some appropriate stretches that Dr. Ben approved of and felt they would help my home care. I would highly recommend the McAlpine Chiropractic Group. I also do them before bedtime and am getting a better night's sleep, with no aches in the morning (important for side sleepers). My only complaint is that Dr Rowe lives so far away, or I would be a regular patient.
