I came on the last Friday of the semester (last day of classes). I came during lunch time and arrived alone as the other friends invited couldn't come. When I arrived on campus, there were signs leading me to Strosacker Hall which is where I needed to go. I appreciated the big parking lot which is free. I entered Durst Welcome Center to get help leading me to the entrance of Strosacker Hall and the student worker was helpful in directing me at which point I found my friend. I visited Strosacker Hall (Student Union building) which is where the dining hall is. The options for lunch were quite good. I chose rice and beef which came with green and red peppers. I also got apple juice, a cookie, and a small red velvet Bundt cake. I left full and satisfied. My friend enjoys being an undergraduate student here so if you are looking for a small liberal arts University then go and visit the campus of Baldwin Wallace and meet some staff members. My fav were the salad bar, Salmon cake, unlimited beverages and a good variety of desserts. Overall, a very good value for what you get, especially for us Seniors. Lols One of my friends and I (from the group) returned for breakfast on a different day and it was pretty good too. Anyway, yes, would probably return in the future.

We just delivered our son to Oberlin College! He has already taken 3 courses remotely and has had…read morean awesome experience and made some really wonderful connections with students, faculty, and the very helpful admissions and financial aid teams. Oberlin College has a proud history of being the first college in America to enroll Black students. It is socially progressive and rigorously academic! The perfect fit for my kid who is pursuing international politics, sociology, and languages. Due to COVID, all students are upgraded to single rooms made out of doubles, so there is a lot of space to live and study. We feel confident with the COVID precautions that Oberlin College is taking this fall. My kid will have 2 in-person classes and 2 remote classes this semester, and we are just hoping for a safe experience. If he has to come home and participate fully remotely, that's fine too. But he is staring this semester on campus and is loving it already! The town of Oberlin is small, tidy, and friendly. There are some shops and restaurants in Oberlin, and many more within an 8-10 mile drive. There is a hospital very near campus, which is vital for us as my kid has a medical condition that occasionally necessitates an ER visit. Greyhound bus goes through a nearby town, making trips home cheap and convenient. Everyone we met was friendly and helpful. My kid is looking forward to a great year ahead.

A student that I know from a co-ed Bible study group invited me for free lunch because he had many meal swipes left. Strosacker Hall is a nice building. The outside has tall pillars and is nice looking. Besides the cafeteria for dining, I noticed other offices insides such as a Women's Center. FOOD (5/5) -- For a college food hall, the lunch that I had was actually good. There were several options to choose from such as sandwiches, rice with protein, and I think I saw pasta and meatballs too. I got rice, bell peppers, and beef along with Bundt cake and a cookie for dessert. I also got apple juice in a cup. The beef was well cooked and seasoned and it went well with the rice. The green and bell peppers provided an extra crunch. I enjoyed my lunch. I also got a to-go box with a turkey sandwich and delicious crunchy chips (not bagged chips but homemade) plus 2 cookies because another student swiped her meal plan for me since she had some let over. This is a co-ed dorm at B-W. Ten years ago, it was the "international" dorm for upperclassman, with…read morea handful of freshman girls thrown in. I was placed here as a freshman. It was a horrible place to live on the one hand because it was completely isolated from other freshman. On the other hand, it was a great place to live because everyone knows freshman are stupid. The first year I lived here I remember speaking to a junior or senior sorority girl telling her I lived in North Hall. She kept asking me "which one" until I realized that she thought I meant a dorm on North Quad. At a school with an undergrad population of around 2,500 she didn't know that my dorm of a couple hundred students even existed. B-W was very divided along a North/South Bagley Road split but it has slowly joined. Even by my second year (I lived there again because it was one of the only buildings with singles) things had changed. I like to take credit for its notoriety. There is a 24 hour computer lab.
