But reducing her to just an organizer would be missing the point entirely. Nancy first came to our home when my wife was juggling too many projects at once and feeling frustrated by the lack of progress. I sure as hell wasn't going to be the one to make sense of it all. Enter Nancy. She didn't just tidy up--she reimagined our space. First, she tackled the office in a way we never would have considered. Then the kitchen. Then the closet. By the time she was done, she probably knew where everything was in our house better than we did. But that was just the warm-up. Fast forward to our international move. The smartest decision we made? Bringing Nancy in to quarterback the whole thing. She handled everything--coordinating realtors, hiring movers, clearing out what we weren't taking--while somehow making an overwhelming process feel completely manageable. But Nancy's real superpower isn't just her ability to organize. It's the confidence she instills in everyone around her. She's unshakable. In all the time I've known her, I've never seen her frustrated or frazzled. When Nancy's involved, stress just doesn't stand a chance.

She was first recommended to my by a coworker/friend who sang her praises. We were downsizing from a 7-year lived-in townhome to a 2 bedroom apartment with a family of 4. It is very hard for me to get rid of things and not accumulate more things. What I was and am most impressed by with Sasha is her genuine kindness, humility, cheerfulness despite setbacks and obvious passion for truly helping us get to "A Better Life". Most recently, she has done a beautiful job with organizing and providing neat solutions for my walk-in pantry that was atrocious. She has also been instrumental in getting my closet in order. I have adult-diagnosed ADHD, and her approach and kindness towards me and my mind blocks are so refreshing. For these reasons and so many more, A Better Life Organizing company and Sasha will be a cornerstone in my family now and forever. :-) Thank you Sasha for being an angel on Earth. You are such a blessing to my family and so many others. I pray that God continues to pour out His richest blessings on you and your company.

The first time, she made a plan to declutter and organize the main spaces in my home, and she helped me clear out a ton of junk, as well as designing a system for storage. She was kind and supportive while we went through my things, understanding the nostalgia attached to the most ridiculous items, while gently guiding me to get rid of things that were broken or outdated or unused. Sasha has a great network of contractors and was able to arrange for a handyman to take care of minor issues throughout the condo. She helped me sort items for donation and took care of taking them to the charity drop instead of leaving it to me to handle. She gave me 'homework' after every visit, and followed up frequently to offer guidance and motivation. She made the process feel easy and manageable. At the end, I had so much more space and everything had a place of its own to return to after use. My condo felt so much more like a home instead of a storage area. The second time Sasha came to my rescue, I was renovating the condo and needed to get everything packed and into storage in a very short window of time. Sasha and her assistant came in and got it done! She also handled arrangements for junk removal and movers to take everything to a storage unit, which was a huge weight off my shoulders. I would work with Sasha and A Better Life again without any hesitation. She is very responsive, communicates clearly and made a very difficult process as stress free as possible. I would recommend A Better Life to anyone who needs assistance in their decluttering and organizing adventures.

He verbally quoted me $1,500 for an IKEA laminate counter kitchen installation. The cost of the IKEA laminate counter (3 pieces) was only $300. I felt the $1,500 was a bit high but I was having trouble finding someone to install laminate and Victor seemed knowledgeable regarding my project. The project should have taken a day, but Victor was extremely slow. He also let me know he now charges hourly. After day one, he was still setting up his equipment and adjusting my an ikea kitchen drawers which he claimed were off. Not much more done on day 2, day 3, finally started cutting counter tops. I asked him repeatedly where were were on price which he said he would let me know but did not. The evening before he did the actual install on my counter he sent me a text stating he was at $4,500. I was could not even believe this. I did not respond until the next day when he arrived. I had a conversation with him regarding the price he was now charging, he said he had to adjust some cabinets, I did not even pay that much to have my whole IKEA kitchen installed! I knew he was going to leave me is a mess, no counter, sink, etc. I told him to finish and when he was done, I tried to talk with him again about the original $1,500 estimate to now $4,500. He got very heated, so I gave him a check for the full amount which I so regret now but I was uncomfortable with his reaction and wanted him to leave my home. Please beware and don't make the same mistakes I did by hiring Victor who took total advantage of me and he knows it.

Because I feared getting paint on the carpet, I decided to do the tile first, followed by the painting, followed by the carpet. My concern was that the new carpet might end up with paint on it if we painted after the new carpet was installed. KDL Painting did a fantastic job and I now have no concerns that they would have messed up the carpet. In fact, they were the heroes of my renovation and still overcame the setbacks caused by the carpet installation crew. My wife attempted to get a quote from three different companies on Angie's List. One company that advertised no job was too small never even responded after the initial conversation despite two attempts of ours to follow-up. KDL Painting provided a quote, and so did a third company although it took the third company several days longer than they were supposed to. Despite the third company's quote being a little less than KDL Painting's quote, the third company's quote had very little detail. It didn't mention how many coats of paint they would do. It didn't mention if they would paint the trim. It didn't mention which of us provided any materials. I didn't feel confident that they and I were on the same page because there were so many unresolved questions in my mind. Couple that with how long it took to even get that quote combined with KDL Painting's quote that answered nearly all my questions and made me confident that we were on the same page, and the decision to go with KDL Painting was easy. Ask any painter and they all tell you the same thing; the preparation is the key. They all claim to do good prep. But they just don't. Kevin at KDL Painting told me they would sand the walls? Never heard of a painter doing that. Of course they would caulk everything. Sure they would! I knew this was going to go well though within about the first ten minutes when I spotted Kevin removing a light switch wallplate I had forgotten to remove in a closet. He had no idea I was watching but proceeded to prepare the way I would want my house to be prepared. After he removed the wallplate, he did something astonishing. He used a tool to scrape off that little ridge of paint around the edge of where the wallplate had been. You know, that ridge of paint left by the previous painter that was too lazy to remove the wallplate. Imagine my surprise when I checked in later to discover them actually sanding the walls. No kidding! They even have a tool for it. The previous paint job was sloppy making their job even more difficult due to the change in paint color. But they found a way to make the walls look great despite having to cover a completely contrasting paint that sometimes lived in places they weren't even supposed to paint. They caulked, they sanded, they painted. And when they were done, that part of my house looked like a new house! They made it look easy, but I know better. Our master bedroom has a speaker mounted in the wall that had yellowed over time. The rest of the room looked so good, I hated to leave it that way. Kevin was more than happy to paint it for me. To prevent brush marks on the plastic speaker bezel, Kevin was going to spray paint it. While we discussed my concern over spray paint landing on the speaker cone, one of his crew took the speaker and removed the plastic bezel from the physical speaker to prevent any concern I had, and then took the bezel outside to paint. This is fantastic because it shows that not only does Kevin have high standards and a desire to please his customer, so does his crew. KDL Painting saved the day in two other ways as well. First, the tile job installers wouldn't paint the new quarter round they installed and they didn't bother to let me know that in advance. Fortunately, KDL took care of that for me. And the carpet installation crew? Even after pointing out multiple times that the walls had just been painted and to please be careful, they managed to scuff paint off multiple places and chip some moulding. Contractors hate having to come back to the job site after they feel like they have finished. KDL Painting was extremely accommodating about that when they came back for a couple things I wanted and took care of the carpet installation damages for me too! In just a couple weeks, KDL Painting proved to me that I can trust them. They completed the job within the timeframe they said they would. That's something that neither the tile or carpet crew managed to do. They didn't damage any of the tile or carpet work. I can't tell you how good it feels to find a contractor you know you can trust. KDL Painting was a real asset during our renovation and really felt like more of a partner than a contractor. This all brings me to the most important question, would I hire them again? You can count on it.

I really didn't want to deal with it and felt that the current hanging racks just would not work with organizing. I needed everything to be properly put away. Kimberly sold me on Artisan because she is meticulous, detail-oriented and very knowledgeable on the product. She was very clear on what customers did and did not like including her own experience which helped to confirm what I wanted. The install was very smooth and he walked me through how to use the accessories. I did get another option from The Container Store and it very obvious for me to move forward with Kimberly and the design. It was thought out for what I needed and thorough in the measuring to accommodate my space / tools which I was not getting from the competitor. There was no thought there or expansion on my initial ask. Back to the garage, I would have Artisan or my handyman paint the walls. I did have a handyman remove the racks and cover the holes beforehand as I wanted a smooth install, but I didn't have them paint the walls white again. It is not a big deal but a note to anyone else who is on the fence about it. I did have a small work station installed and I did ask about lights or tools to hang right in from of me. I don't think they offer that in their current catalog but I do think that should add in the future. The handy-wall is larger so I don't think it would fit in that space to hang smaller tools. If you are looking for something similar, you may want to design the space to leave that open and do it yourself. I have a garden rack next to it so I do use the lights and the wooden pole to hang a fan. Overall, I am very happy with the final product and the install. I have had a lot of experiences where the sales sold a great experience or tool only for the install to be a mess or disrespectful to your home. So I do dread installs and thankfully that was not an issue here. It was exactly what I wanted and Kimberly and the installer made the experience very easy and stress-fre.
