I didn't want her to be taken advantage off. So when the Eclipse team came to the house for the first time and sat down to speak us, I was equipped. But I was surprisingly REALLY impressed with the correct knowledge they had. The two representatives were Tony and Garrett and they were very kind, respectful, honest and understanding while still being professional. That complete package is VERY hard to find in any construction industry. They showed a GREAT face of the company ! They broke everything down. And I challenge you , if you decide to speak with them about your project, to go ahead and ask for a copy of their business license, insurance and even workman's comp. They will have it and be glad to give it to you! Tony even held our hand through the Insurance claim side of the job. it was my mom's first major insurance claim. And he ask if we had any questions or challenges. Now about the job: Now to put it in perspective the house is 150 years old and the roof was pretty bad. Tony and Garrett broke down the game plan on the "replacement" of the roof. (NOT Cover up like other companies do) And they kept in contact with us the whole time. The asked us if there were anything outside that needed protected when they come to put on the new roof. When the day came to work on the roof , Tony and Garrett were right in with the rest of the crew working along side. The entire team completed the job in one day. One 13 hour day. They also communicated with us about the clean up and left no shingle unturned. In conclusion this team exceeded our expectations on every step of the job. We…read morehad a 35,000 insurance claim for the inside of our home which included extensive drywall work, lvp and hardwood installation, plumbing , painting. They had one person, Mike , with his son and cousin do all of it. Hardwoods became an issue-at least 20 different places with lippage, and gaps big enough to place credit card in, which I did to demonstrate how big they were, Chris/owner came out and refused to replace it. He opened door to our laundry room, I asked him what he was doing and asked him to close it, he proceeded to open and pointed down to a 20 plus year old transition piece of hardwood and said pre existing condition this is what you had before, meaning I should be grateful for what I have because our floors were showing age, told me I was being too picky and referred again to our pre existing floors. Next day, they bring in another worker who placed filler in the gaps, he had been doing so for 6 hours before we asked him to stop so we would have time to research long term effects of so much filler. Mike, installer, stated multiple times it was a manufacturing issue/problem with hardwoods and pointed to a huge pile of waste where it wouldn't fit together properly, when boss/owner, Chris Lazzelle came he back peddled on all of it, would not stand on his word of what he previously said, asked him why he changed his story, played the semantics game told us, "I said it was a manufacturing issue not problem." Are you kidding me? This is after he told us he left the bright construction light for us so we could see all the issues. We had to have transition strip from kitchen to living room replaced due to not matching three times, when I say didn't match, it was like black and white. Any issue with hardwood or hardwood steps was always met with we will fill it, I understand filler is used in all hardwood installs, but not to fill gaps that I literally placed a credit card in to show Mr Lazelle. What speaks volumes is the fact that the project manager coming on VERY LAST day of rebuild and stated "I'm just collecting information." WHAT, on last day?!?!? We Didn't even know he existed until he randomly started messaging my husband with appointments for cleaning and what not. This was our first time dealing with insurance and or contractors, PLEASE do your homework, we were too trusting!

After they surveyed my property and decided what size truck to bring I sold a lot of my things…read moreincluding my living room furniture. So I had less than what they had anticipated. Yet they ended up having to get a second truck for a few leftover items and charged me $1500 to drive two trucks out of state. This was their fault for the miscalculation not mine but I paid for it. They did a good job packing me out in the beginning, but upon arrival at my new house, they literally just started putting things wherever they wanted and argued with me if I wanted them in a different place. Fragile this side up boxes were on the bottom of piles of heavy boxes and upside down. Nearly a month into the move I have yet to find my dishes and winter clothes. While I was in the house trying to direct traffic they took a bunch of things and just threw them into my shed. I have a pile as high as the windows and cannot even get two things or see what's in there. It's going to mean completely emptying out the 10 x 16 shed and re-organizing. They broke one stained glass window before they even got out of my house when I moved and claimed they did not do it. Upon arrival, they tried to install my dresser mirror upside down and argued with me when I told him it was upside down. One of the guys kept complaining about the number of boxes I had. And when they were finished their walk they and were waiting to pull out of the driveway their boss called me to see how they had done as I was talking to him the argumentative one came walking back in my house and started hanging out to listen to the conversation. I told him multiple times to please wait outside and he ignored me. Finally, I told his boss that I was not going to say another thing until his worker left my house. At that point, the man walked outside. After our conversation, I was getting ready to close up the house to run an errand after they pulled out and suddenly the front door opens, and the argumentative employee came marching back in the house and told me he had to use the bathroom. He brushed past me and went upstairs. A couple of minutes later when I glanced up the stairs to see if he was headed back down he was walking around with his camera on his Phone from room to room. I asked him what he was doing. He said he was doing the walk-through. I told him we had already done that and he said that just in case he lost the film, he wanted another one. Then he came walking back downstairs and walked through the rest of the house filming. This all made me very uncomfortable. He used an excuse to use the bathroom without even asking, didn't knock at the door just walked right in and then wasn't in the bathroom, but was actually walking through the house filming it. When they showed up at my house to pack me up, they were in U-Haul trailers, not professional trailers belonging to the company. When I questioned it, they said that they did have their own truck, but the one worker said that it had been broken down for as long as he had worked there. Due to no fault of my own, I had to pay for a second truck since they had miscalculated what size truck to bring. And then the mess I have on the receiving end is just unbelievable. I would not recommend this company.
