Parking is difficult to find nearby, especially for those with mobility problems. However, on multiple occasions when the sign at the entrance said "FULL", we have asked the attendant if there was possibly a handicapped space despite the signage. EVERY TIME they were able to accommodate us and did so with a smile. We have been so grateful to these young men who went out of their way to be helpful. They deserve recognition for going above and beyond. In addition to this, the price for parking can't be beat!

The Meh: *$5/hr w/ a max of $50/all-day. While not terrible, there were cheaper parking garages around but it is what it is. Fwiw, these prices are more expensive than parking in SF, so put that in your pipe and smoke it. The Ugly: *We have friends in the area, and they warned us of "predatory parking garages" that don't state their prices before entering. So, if you don't see a price then do not enter or prepare to pay the consequences. Conclusion: Not the worst place to park, but there's better options.

Recommendations: -Be transparent and display your rates BEFORE people enter. Failing to do so is a predatory tactic. -Lower your rates so people would actually park here, especially if you plan to display rates. The garage is 7 levels and most of them are empty during peak morning hours. -Consider a day/flat rate pricing. -If you are going for hourly, tell me what amount it caps at if at all.

I feel fortunate that we have a permit on one of our cars for this lot due to one of us being employed at a nearby company. There is public parking here in the off hours, after 5pm on weekdays and on weekends. Generally it is $5 I think, but we thought we saw $10 on the 4th of July. The big bonus about this lot... When you exit you have a stop light so you don't have fight to get out... Unless people are blocking the intersection.

I then proceeded to get in the huge line. Luckily a nice lady told me my bus was loaded and about the leave and I was in the wrong line. I quickly went outside and the bus driver was very nice. The bus ride itself is fine, not amazing, not bad plus you get a free bottle of water. The bus drops you at your departure terminal which makes the whole situation so easy and worth the $61 round trip. Parking is an issue here so have someone drop you off, if possible.

Thankfully, the NPO Friends of Congress Square Park have done a lot over the years to protect it from outside buyers, preserve it, and breathe new life into it. This once deteriorated space has become a hub for arts, entertainment, and community togetherness. Over the course of the past many years I have... - Been entertained by the Circus Conservatory of America - Listened to the Maine Marimba Ensemble perform - Watched fire jugglers - Looked at art - Played an impromptu game of kickball ... in the park. And that was before all of the great things that are now intentionally planned for the space! Now, there's... - copious amounts of lovely seating - food trucks - even more musical and theater performances - outdoor movies - dance lessons - group knitting sessions - yoga and tai chi - kid-friendly activities ... all in the park. Primarily this trip is a working freight/mail ferry trip that they have allowed passengers to join and enjoy the beautiful views while the deckhands work. Super fun and economical way to get out of the city and see Casco bay. We were super satisfied and pleased. Would give my highest recommendation. Staff was phenomenal.

Eat, Drink, & Be Ferry…read more Ferry service that charters passengers from Portland harbor to one of numerous inhabited islands just off the coast. We chartered a Ferry ride to Peak's Island on a crisp early Autumn day. The Good: *You can load your car on the Ferry *Nice boat with a top view *Staff was friendly enough *Fairly inexpensive at $14/adult & $7/child for round-trip ticket. *They also do scenic boat tours, as well as the Ferry service. Check their website for dates and times. The Meh: *Peak season pricing on autos that can go from Off-Peak Season price of $70-100 (depending on vehicle size) to $150-170 for Peak Season price. The Ugly: *Make sure to plan your day accordingly with the boat schedule. You don't want to get stuck on an island there without a reservation. Conclusion: Even if you just go out to the island and back, it's still worth the $14 of entertainment riding across the ocean.
