Unlike any other hotel I've stayed in the last few years, there were no toilet products like bath soap or shampoo available in the shower - so, bring your own. For people with allergies, I want to give you the warning that peanuts and chili nuts are complimentary, in open jars in the corridors, so if you're having a peanut allergy - avoid this place. Breakfast was served early, 6:00-8:00AM, and was decent but very low-key.

But when we got there - wow - it's so much fun! It's like a cruise ship on land, events every hour, live music, lots of happy tipsy people, and food around every corner. We came with our 1 year old and he loved it, we could play in the sand all day, and he got to eat endless waffles at the breakfast buffet. The buffet food was very good, I'd stick to that if you've got young kids, otherwise the restaurants were very nice but you should try and book ahead if you come during the summer as the restaurant bookings go fast. The staff were beyond friendly, I'm pretty sure this was the best customer service I've ever had in Sweden. The spa is pretty small, but what was nice is they let us all bring the kids in to play in the pool since it was raining out one day. The rooms were so spacious and CLEAN!! My only tip! Bring beach towels! The towels from the room are tiny and need a million to use for before, during, and after the beach. Parking is onsite right outside the door of the hotel. Definitely coming back someday!

We arrived and the restaurant was filled with conference delegates sitting at extended tables. They were extremely loud, more or less shouting at each other. Not especially pleasant! However, we decided to stay, despite the shouting, and waited to be seated. We waited and waited, servers passing by not making any efforts..... After around 10 minutes waiting while a line of other guests had been built up behind us, we decided to leave! We left and returned to restaurant Salt and had a great evening with excellent food and service. Salt got a 5 star review from me and I will for sure return there next Summer! I will never return to Hotel Tylösand!
